In the discussion they talk about voice-acting and the contents of the upcoming home video releases of the movie, like a game that lets you create your own Transformer. The group also claims that among the DVD contents will be an 'easter egg' in the form of a video featuring director Michael Bay. This video claims to be a bit of a spoiler for the next installment of the Transformers movie franchise, a very large rumor generator, if you will.
If you want to know the next rumor for Transformers 3 (the first was that Megan Fox's character Mikaela would be killed off in the third movie) then scroll the the very bottom of this article.

Rumor:
The Michael Bay video claims that none other than the planet devouring giant, Unicron will play a role in Transformers 3!
As this is an unconfirmed rumor we advise you to take it with a grain of salt.

it's micheal bay ,i think he probably would make a giant planet eating robot so he can blow it up at the end and then hasbro can make another toy that claims to be nearly 2 foot tall and then they'll tell you it won't transform.

Dude, I can't tell you how much I hope you're wrong, but I'm pretty sure you're going to end up being right.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, Epps' (paraphrased) line in RotF "If God made man in his image, who made transformers in their image" was just a big hint. It seems so "just added to be there" compaired to the rest of the scene it was in that it stuck with me after the movie.

Hes going to screw up Unicron and make the way they destroy him so completely stupid. And we should already be considering this as true since Bay has a one track mind. Remember when there were "rumors" that the 2nd movie was going to have the fallen and every one said "oh no its a rumor" and "no we changed it" look what we got.
well as long as he isnt destroyed by opening up a necklace with a horrible song playing in the background i'm ok with it, thats just my opinion

The logic behing them not needing ships is actually very good. Remember that in ROTF they DID have a ship though...I'd wager he decided they didn't have the energy to make long distance voyages (which would mean that the Autobots have a ship near Earth somewhere...hint perhaps?)
As far as Unicron eating, it makes total sense. He would need IMMENSE amounts of energy to move through space, especially if you consider HOW he would move and where. The space between solar systems is cosmic (no pun intended). The only real way get the energy to move (whether by some type or propulsion or by wormhole generation or whatnot) is to destroy and consume the natural resources of a planet...indeed the entire solar system would have to be consumed for the journey to the next one. If he stops moving, he conserves energy, but even then it will eventually fail.
My guess is that Unicron is going to appear now that the Allspark has been destroyed. Perhaps he fears the Allspark in the same way he was afraid of the Matrix in the '86 movie. Just my guess, but it makes sense with what we've seen. Then Unicron will transform and hump the moon...

haha, I second that. That was so out of character, even Decepticons take prisoners (Combaticons).
Autobots wouldn't kill a few renegade decepticons, they hardly kill decepticons... ever!
Primus I hope Unicron will be a planet, and an even bigger toy then Armada Unicron.
Now that I think about it, Armada did a pretty good job in giving Unicron a role.
I have my hopes up, it will kick ass. Just remember to expect corny teenage scenes besides the über actionscenes which I really liked in TF1/TF2.
New Prime altmode please!

You are so right, that is the first thing I thought of when I watched the movie, and heard that line.

set it in the year 2012, we figure out that some early Cybertronians (like in the RotF prologue) figured Unicron'd get here about December 2012, took pity on the humans they came into contact with (namely the Mayans) and left us with a warning, shortly before the whole fiasco with The Fallen started.
whatever the story is, though, PLEASE, Micheal, ya did good with the first movie (imho), the second was a little disappointing, from the bottom of my heart and with the utmost respecet, PLEASE give me a film about giant f*cking robots that I can pridefully and shamelessly enjoy. I got faith in ya, buddy, I know you can do it!

This is a Michael Bay movie after all, and therefor everything has to be bigger and larger than the previous movie. By that logic i think Unicron would fit the goal. Then there is the question: Would it fit storywise? I do not know, and in my own humble opion i do not think that it really matters that much. For me personally the stories in the transformers movies by Michael Bay were never that good. So what he does this time around, will probably not be of a big concern for my part. Especially since he and the new writer claims to already have the new story ready.
What i am interested in is what kind of design they are going to apply to Unicron. Not that i really like the moviedesigns for the transformers. Some of them i do not get at all, but they are none the less interesting to study, and sometimes to be inspired by. So that is basically what i am looking forward to in the third movie. The designs and what new transformers Michael bay will introduce to us.

Unicron, A.K.A. F4:RotSS Galactus ver. 2.0!
Or maybe he will be like the ultimate version of Galactus (= Gah Lak Tus)
