Seiberton.com member Riley Hoffman has informed us that TonTon Review has just published on YouTube their latest Transformers Studio Series video review. This time, it's the upcoming Deluxe Class Cogman as featured in the Transformers: The Last Knight film from 2017. This release in the Studio Series is a repaint of the same mold that was released in 2017 under the "Premier Edition" line accompanying The Last Knight film. TonTon gives the usual overview, covering size comparisons in alternate and robot modes, sculpted and painted details, and conversion from licensed Aston Martin DB11 into robot and back. Perhaps the most interesting part of the video, though, is the direct comparison in robot mode between the new Studio Series version of Cogman and the previous Premier Edition. The Studio Series offering is extensively painted with metallic silver in both vehicle and robot mode, with key details picked out in gold paint. The previous release opts for more muted metal gray tones and black washes to emulate wear and age in robot mode, as seen on screen. Check out the full video below.

What do you think of this upcoming offering from the Studio Series line? Did you miss out on Cogman the first time around? Is the flashy new paint job for the Studio Series release enough to get you to upgrade from your Premiere Edition Cogman? Let us known in the comments below, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!

Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, Chuckdawg1999, (and thanks to fellow Seibertron user What's Crackin? for letting us know as well!) we now have a review of Transformers Cyberverse Warrior Class Soundwave! This figure's gimmick is that pressing the button on his shoulder causes Lazerbeak to fly out of Soundwaves chest! Note however that Lazerbeak is not detachable.

Here's a snippet of Chucks thoughts on the figure:

Chuckdawg1999 wrote:The Warrior Class from the Cyberverse line has been hit or miss, mostly miss. Soundwave benefits from a gimmick that isn't tied to a limb or something more intrusive. Yes it's still a simplified figure, and it doesn't have the articulation most collectors would want, but it's an overall good figure that I feel a lot of fans and collectors would be satisfied with.

We have embedded the video below for your convenience:

I recently acquired a complete set of the rarest Transformers fouresome of all time, the Europe and Australasia exclusive Action Master Elites. These were four new molds made in an Action Master subline that actually Transformed, and since they were never released in North America and never redecoed into anything else, they are today the rarest Transformers molds out there released by Hasbro, especially in a complete states since some of them come with several accessories which are made to be removed as part of the transformation.

With so little in terms of images out there, especially of the vehicle modes, I thought it would be a good idea to show you these toys, one at a time, and go over each of their modes along with their gimmicks, and finally have a review out there for each.

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Omega Spreem

Today we will look at Omega Spreem. Three of the four Action Master Elites are shrunk down versions of towering robots that had already come out and this is an homage to Omega Supreme. He only has one accessory, a gun, so of the four this one is the easiest to get complete. Oddly enough, this specific toy has been homaged in the past, with the headmaster component of Energon Omega Surpeme being based on this toy's robot mode. And his name (being Spreem rather than Supreme) was homaged in Transformers Animated with Omega S.P.R.E.E.M. being the name given to a small scale prototype of Omega Supreme's conterpart in that universe.

The robot mode is sleek like all Action Masters, with an even better level of articulation and the height perfectly nestled between that of a contemporary deluxe and legends class figure. The colours are super bright with a very neon yellow and hot pink for the chest and face.

Omega Spreem transforms into an excavation vehicle on treads. The transformation for all Action Master Elites is nothing to write home about. In this case you just need to flip his hands so that they become long narrow drill bits, lower the tank treads to the ground and bend him at the waist. While the result is not the greatest, the gimmick really gives the alt mode some credence. By pushing the yellow button in his back, the waist turns rapidly, turning those arm blades into a deadly mixer.

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Turbo Master

Today we will look at Turbo Master. Yes, that is his actual name. And while a Turbomaster also reffers to a different Transformers subline, he is not part of that line. Instead he is an Action Master which transforms. Three of the four Action Master Elites are shrunk down versions of towering robots that had already come out and this is an homage to Bruticus. It is a pretty faithful one when it comes to the main body and face, with the limbs streamlined and symmetrical to one another to make it more like an action figure.

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Turbo Master

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Turbo Master

His colours are more flamboyant than even G2 Bruticus with lilac and pink all across the toy. He has the most accessories out there and thus is the hardest to get complete. Not only does he have double blade weapon (which become wings in alt mode), he also has two rotors which clip to his shoulders in robot mode. He also has two rotating tail fins at his feet which are removable pieces.

Each of his fists have 3 small holes, one above, one below and one front and centre (to be used in alt mode). This allows you to either give him a sword in each hand or make a double blade weapon. There are two gimmicks associated to his wrists and they work in both modes. Simply by moving one arm up or down, both wrists will turn. Also, by pressing the yellow button in his back, cleverly disguised as one of Bruticus' two back cannons, both wrists will rotate furiously. Any enemy near him would be cut to bits in seconds, like the henchman Indy fights by the plane in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Of course, the four accessories are interchangeable so you could give him rotor fists if you wanted to.

For any IDW fans out there, he had a tiny appearance in MTMTE 12 where he fights against Ultra Magnus (he is in the background on the right):

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Turbo Master

Turbo Master transforms into a vertical take-off, Osrpey type, vehicle with wings. The transformation for all Action master Elites is nothing to write home about. In this case you just need to rotate the tail fins, turn his head, bend his knees and point his arms up. Then you attach the wings and rotors where they should be. Below you will see images of him with and without the wings attached, since the Osprey alt mode works better without the wings. Personally though, I much preffer with wings since it just makes it look so much more bonkers. The part of the transformation I find particularly clever is the head turning around since the window details in back of the head line up perfectly with the alt mode details already present in the vehicle mode chest so that the front looks uninterrupted. Pushing the yellow button in alt mode will make the rotors spin.

The robot mode is clearly the star this time, especially with all the display and equipment options, while we have had some non combining Bruticus components in the past, it is really unique to see what looks like a combiner design (Bruticus in this case) Transforming from a full combined robot mode into one alt mode.

Today we will look at Windmill. Three of the four Action Master Elites are shrunk down versions of towering robots that had already come out but Windmill is the only fully original design.

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Windmill

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Windmill

The robot mode has a nice asymmetry going on in the limbs, with only one foot and one hand, which you don't see on Action Masters. He is also not as neon as the others, with a more traditional blue, reminds me a bit of Slugslinger's G1 toy, with the visor. While he is more original than all the others, that means I don't really have anything to compare him to. He comes with two rotor blades which combine to form one rotor for his alt mode.

While he has the most complex transformation than any of the four Action Master Elites, since it deals with changing his axis of orientation, the result isn't better. It might be worse. He becomes a very gappy helicopter. It can look good at some angles, but you will see the illusion fade below.

His gimmick is that the rotor rotates when you press the yellow button. While the kibble he had instead of a right foot in robot mode works now in vehicle mode, that big laser canon he has for a hand makes no sense here. It looks like the helicopter has a giant zit.

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Windmill

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Windmill

While he has the most interesting transformation of all four, this is my least favourite. It's like they were being too ambitious with the transforming Action master concept that they tried too much and it just didn't land.

This is the one we've all been waiting for, folks! Seibertron.com member Dannshinigami informed us that TonTon Reviews of YouTube has finally published their video review of Transformers: SIEGE Deluxe Class Ironhide! By now, you probably know what to expect from TonTon's videos of these upcoming figures. We're treated to a step by step conversion of Ironhide from Cybertronian armored truck to robot and back again, as well as an overview of sculpting and paint detailing on the figure, accessory demonstration, basic articulation in robot mode, and of course size comparisons in both vehicle and robot modes. Indeed, the size comparison is exciting as it shows that, despite being a Deluxe Class figure, SIEGE Ironhide is TALL in robot mode. He stands head and shoulders above SIEGE Deluxe Prowl and is just under a head shorter than Studio Series 14 Voyager Ironhide. To top it off, TonTon also shows off one possible configuration for combining Deluxe Weaponizer Sixgun with Ironhide. Enjoy the video below!

Is this the Classics/Generations G1 Ironhide figure you've been waiting for? How well are Hasbro and Takara Tomy doing with the scaling in the War for Cybertron: SIEGE line so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!

I recently acquired a complete set of the rarest Transformers foursome of all time, the Europe and Australasia exclusive Action Master Elites. These were four new molds made in an Action Master subline that actually Transformed, and since they were never released in North America and never redecoed into anything else, they are today the rarest Transformers molds out there released by Hasbro, especially in a complete state since some of them come with several accessories which are made to be removed as part of the transformation.

With so little in terms of images out there, especially of the alt modes, I thought it would be a good idea to show you these toys, one at a time, and go over each of their modes along with their gimmicks, and finally have a review out there for each, even if it took 28 years.

Today we will look at Double Punch. Three of the four Action Master Elites are shrunk down versions of towering robots that had already come out and this is an homage to Black Zarak (a Japanese redeco of Scorponok). He has two accessories, his scorpion legs, which detach and reattach for different configurations in robot mode and alt mode. Of course, you can keep them in the same spot for conversion if you are not a partsforming fan.

The robot mode is very nice with some vibrant neon colours that work well against the black. The gimmick is that his claw hands move when you push the yellow button and while it makes more sense in alt mode, you can do it in robot mode as well. The head is much better proportioned than that of the giant Scorponok toy.

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Double Punch

Transformers News: Pictorial Review of G1 Region Exclusive Double Punch

The transformation is different than the giant Scorponok mold since instead of having one tail, the two robot mode legs become two scorpion tails. Neon pink stingers fold out of each tail. Attaching the scorpion legs finishes the transformation. The scorpion head is much nicer here than on Scorponok or Black Zarak since it actually has its own distinctive look, with two venom-like eyes. That little bit of detail really helps sell this mode as an actual alt mode rather than a robot lying down with his legs up in the air.

And the gimmick is fun. Overall, this is my favourite of the four since the colours works well and it's an interesting take on a G1 Scorponok transformation. A simple transformation seems better suited on a smaller toy that favours the robot mode, like this one.

We've got a treat for you, fellow Seibertronians! Our own member Dannshinigami has let us know that YouTube channel TonTon Review has uploaded another video of an upcoming Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy - SIEGE figure. This time, it's Deluxe Class Greenlight and her new Battle Master partner, Dazlestrike! Greenlight and Dazlestrike will not be sold at regular retail, but instead are likely to be an exclusive set. We're still waiting to hear exactly how this set will be made available for purchase.

TonTon shows off the molding and coloring detail of Greenlight, a retool and repaint of Power of the Primes Deluxe Class Moonracer and Novastar. As such, Greenlight retains the combiner limb functionality first established with the Combiner Wars line. She can become an arm or leg for any Combiner Wars or Power of the Primes compatible Voyager Class combiner torso. TonTon demonstrates the conversion of Greenlight from Cybertronian car to robot, along with how to configure her for arm and leg mode. Dazlestrike is a repaint of SIEGE Battle Master Lionizer, featuring new green paint apps, and a new orange fire slash effect (differently sculpted from Lionizer's blue sword slashing effect). Greenlight also comes with the "Prime Armor" accessory that Power of the Primes Deluxe Class figures all featured. This piece can become a hand for arm mode, be used as chest armor in robot mode, or configured in other imaginative ways to form an additional weapon or shield. Greenlight doesn't come with any other dedicated weapon accessories, like the guns that came with her mold-mates Moonracer and Novastar.

Of course, TonTon also gives us a few size comparisons for Greenlight in both vehicle mode and robot mode. Of note, we can see that SIEGE Deluxe Class Chromia is a bit shorter in robot mode than Greenlight (and presumably Moonracer and Novastar). Even better, though, we get another teaser of SIEGE Deluxe Class Ironhide, who appears to be substantially taller and bulkier than Greenlight in robot mode, meaning that Ironhide may indeed be a larger than usual Deluxe Class figure in this line, further confirming that Hasbro and Takara Tomy are taking robot mode scale very seriously in War for Cybertron: SIEGE. Take a look at the video below and enjoy!

Are you excited for this upcoming special release in the War for Cybertron: SIEGE line? We seem to be one step closer now to completing a combiner entirely consisting of characters from Elita One's team from the original G1 cartoon episode "The Search for Alpha Trion." Tell us what you think of this exclusive offering from Hasbro in the comments below, and keep tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!

Seibertron member What's Crackin' sent us in news this afternoon of yet another video review from YouTube channel TonTon Review! This time, it's Studio Series 41 Deluxe Class Constructicon Scrapmetal! This character is most famous for his role in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen film as the hapless organ donor for the revived Megatron. Now, he's a fully fledged entry into the growing Transformers Generations Studio Series line! Scrapmetal has been promoted to a spot on the Constructicon team, forming the left hand of the mighty combiner Devastator. Scrapmetal is due out later this year in the sixth overall Deluxe Class wave for the Studio Series. TonTon shows off size comparisons for alt mode and robot mode with other Transformers figures, as well as the conversion between Scrapmetal's robot mode and his construction excavator mode. TonTon also lists off some details about the sculpt and paint job of the figure before ending with a demonstration of how to transform Scrapmetal into hand mode for Devastator. Of note, Scrapmetal appears to be a hefty Deluxe sized figure, standing not too much shorter than the already apparently robustly sized Studio Series 37 Voyager Constructicon Rampage we covered a few days ago. Ze little one? Hardly! Take a look at Scrapmetal for yourself below!

What do you make of this latest entry into the Studio Series line? Is your excitement for the eventual Devastator figure growing? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest news on all things Transformers!
