HASBRO To Raise Toy Prices Effective September 1st 2008

These high costs continue to be a strain on the financial outlook for HASBRO and they must raise prices on certain products in order to remain competitive and profitable. Prices in the mid-single-digit range for will increase, as stated by Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer David Hargreaves, via telephone conference earlier today.
What does that mean to us as Transformers fans? Well, we can expect marginal increases in the prices of such figures as the Robot Heroes line and Legends Class, just to name a couple. This increase will also affect such name brands as G.I. Joe, My Little Pony and Playskool.
