However, couresty of USA TODAY's entertainment blog, we have comments from Michael Bay himself who recently came to Megan's defense at of all things, a Victoria's Secret show. As you may remember, Bay has been directing Victoria's Secret commercials.
There are many things one can expect at a Victoria’s Secret show (mobs of press, crazy futuristic neon wings, bras covered in diamonds, a Black Eyed Pea, or three) but what we did not expect was a candid takedown of the press’ treatment of Megan Fox by none other than Transformers director, Michael Bay. (You may remember the outspoken actress has referred to him as a “nightmare,” and “Hitler” in recent interviews).
But it turns out, Bay couldn’t care less. Really. “I love her,” the man responsible for the blockbuster franchise told USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell. “It’s just, she’s young. Everyone’s got to give her a break, she only…23? It’s just hard. I’ve traveled around the world with her and she’s just like this world symbol now, you know?”
So he brushes her diatribes under the carpet? “Absolutely,” he said. “She called me (after the Hitler comment) and goes, ‘It’s all bullsh—t, Mike.’ The press, they just like to prey, and stalk, and pounce and find a good little juicy thing. But she’s always wanted to do these crazy comments. That’s just her. She’s great.”
He also said, “She’s got a great part in Transformers 3,” and he said he’s currently working on the script. So Bay’s not planning on getting revenge by, say, killing her off? “No, no. no,” he said, dismissing it. “She gets enough of that already.”

Like her or not, she's pretty tied to this franchise right now.

Megan Fox is an ugly bitch who ruied Transformers big time. TF 2 was basiclly just her running with her boobs.
I wish she would die. Both in the movie and for real. (I hope in TF3 she gets it like Prowl did in TF The Movie.)

We do NOT need that sort of talk on this site. Whether you like her or not, wishing death on her, or ANYONE is not something we want to see here.

man, its not like she wrote or directed the movie. i can understand not liking her but its not like she was wringing her hands menacingly since age 17 trying to destroy the franchise.
shes just an actress of questionable talent and intellect, not a supervillian with some Machiavellian plan to ruin nostalgic toy properties.

I don't follow Bay so I don't know how he usually presents himself in the press but he could be simply a good guy and lets a young woman's mistakes roll off his back. On the other hand he could be lying through his teeth and honestly does take offense to what she said but he's at least smart enough to not air personal grievances to the public like Fox did.
Now as far as Fox ruining anything...try to get some perspective. Of all the faults the Transformers movies have, Fox is on the bottom of the list. She doesn't write her material. She isn't the director. She's simply an actress who shows up on the set, does what she's told to do, and collects her paycheck. Blaming Fox for having any significant impact on the overall quality of the Transformers movies is like blaming an incompetent tech support agent for the poor quality of a computer manufacturer's products. She simply isn't that important in the grand scheme of things.

Transformers is about giant robots kickin' the crap outta one another, not a teenage soap opera with robot fights put in for filler. I'd like to see less "human involvement" in TF3; the military angle is OK, but the Sam/Mikaela angle needs dropped.
Truth be told, if that stuff wasn't in there, it wouldn't market nearly as much to the mainstream auidence that drives much of the ticket sales.
Do you know that before the first movie there was pressure from the studio to not even have the robots talk at all?
If you left it totally up to studio executives, it would be 90% humans and 10% Transformers.

As for shock value, I bet if they offed Sam's parents, and the cute little dogs that'd get the fanbase in an uproar.
I mean, isn't there some Japanese Transformer's episode where some Destron offs a puppy?

But if they kill her off, we'll have to sit through more romance scenes! Do you really want there to be a half-hour of buildup about Sam & Mikaela being romantic, followed by another half-hour of Mikaela dying (since there's no way she'd die in one second) and Sam dealing with the loss (which would undoubtedly be incredibly awkward considering how Optimus Prime poorly dealt with Jazz and Jetfire's deaths)?

Wow you really are a moron.
Firstly she ain't ugly, she may not be everyone's cup of tea but she is far from ugly. Secondly the TF movies sucked (IMO) for a variety of reasons, sure her wooden acting didn't help but she alone did not make the movies fail (again IMO)I can list the reasons why this movie or the first one didn't reach my expectations, however we would be treading over old ground and it's already been covered in other threads.

Now there are a few people in this world that DO deserve to die, paedophiles, rapists, murderers, dictators etc. An actress devoid of any acting ability who has done nothing wrong, to anybody, does not.
Perhaps in future you should rethink and re-evaluate the manner in which you write things.

I have to admit I don't like either Megan Fox or Shia LeBeauf. I only like the movies for the great animations. I came to see the robots, not a romance.
