Hasbro has now officially unveiled the two leader-class toys who will be opening the new "Allspark Power" expanded line of the Transformers Movie toys. They are Nightwatch Optimus Prime and Deep Desert Brawl (previously labelled Desert Attack Brawl)

Awful colours. Down with the neon-baby-blue!
The blue kills that Brawl. Granted, a few strokes of a paintbush and problem solved. However, that prime is hopeless.

Don't like the bios. Prime never get sneaky. Its quite out of his character. Especially he never really got close to the All Spark before it got destroyed. And Brawl's already dead LOL. What do you mean by hiding around the Dam? ![:grin:]( "Very Happy")
Next thing we know, they might have a new Jazz bio, saying he didn't really died. The one that got ripped apart is Zoom Zoom, a mere copy of himself. LOL ![:lol:]( "Laughing")
In terms of the toys, I kind of like Prime's colors. But not enough to buy one. Its pretty much another Ultra Magnus repaint to me. Brawl on the other hand looks funny with the neon blue colors. The tan is good for a desert camo, but the blue bits made him look cheap. I like the green version more.

Ah! But you assume that he's diesel-powered now. With the Allspark Energy, they might not need any of the normal fuel that you would assume they would need. It would make sense with all this "stealth" business that they keep bandying about.

I'd be more likely to buy that than either of these guys! An ice cream truck TF would be incredible... now THERE'S a potential Payload custom idea.![:lol:]( "Laughing")
Desert Brawl is cute, but I'd prefer a repaint of one of his smaller incarnations to this new leader anyday.

You obviously haven't heard of the Target-exclusive Jazz repaint, have you, mpchi?
It seems that characters don't stay KIA in this line, repaint fodder FTW....

If I read the G1/Movie Jazz repaint bio right, it essentially calls Ironhide either stupid or a liar...

In the bio, Ratchet DOES repair Jazz but Jazz decides that just because they're in disguise they don't have to look TOO plain. Hence the repaint.

So Brawl somehow became slightly intelligent, and reformatted himself into the exact same alt mode as he already had...
And as for Prime, if he does not need his Ionic Blaster due to his power-ups, why does he still have it???
Hasbro need to sack whoever has been doing the movie Bio's, they really are bad quality stuff.

an easy pass on both...im kinda glad they went with such a obvious cry for more money from us on these guys otherwise i would probabaly give in, i mean im usually a sucker for repaints and such, like, just make leader prime the same but with his sword instead on his blaster and im sure i'd give in, oh well, saves me 40 bucks ![:P]( "Tongue")

Of course, if you're feeling particularly optimistic, Ironhide's intention could have simply been to say "Prime, we couldn't save him... before Megatron tore him in half. It'll take Ratchet months to get him back online."![;)]( "Wink")

Nightwatch Prime has been out in the UK for a few months but with no mention of Allspark Power on the box, a slightly different bio and no light blue on prime so this new Prime is just a repaint of a repaint
