The speed set was a straight cut Toysrus global exclusive, but things weren't so clear with the next boxset called Siege on Cybertron, which includes the Takara remold of PM OP, Tidal Wave from Broadside, Metalhawk from Triggerhappy, Pounce, and Titanmaster Thunderwing. We were told it was a BBTS exclusive at Toyfair but there has been no word on it since. We reached out to BBTS and they weren't even aware of this boxset. Well, now listings for the set have popped up on Canadian computer software/hardware sites all belonging to the same parent company. The prices vary from $130 CDN closer to the MSRP $150 price and these are all preorders with no date given for when they will show up in stock. While this sounds odd, these PC sites also have other Transformers on preorder, like Titan Class Tryipticon, so it's not completely out of the ordinary for them to stock this set too. What is odd is that since this set is exclusive to one retailer in the US, one would think that would be carried over to other countries where it would be exclusive to other retailers. Does this mean that this set will only be available from this parent company of online computer products? At least we know for sure that this will not be a BBTS exclusive worldwide and that there will be other ways of getting it for those interested. Thanks to Scotty P for letting us know of these listings.

Well that saves me some time. I was just about to reach out myself to BBTS Customer Service and ask...but I'm not surprised, BBTS rarely knows anything in advance, they still probably don't know the last 3 toys of TFSS 5.0 are all shipping together.

I'm in high anticipation of this set. Not so much for the releases as none of them are really high on my want list, but much more of...where/when it will pop up first, and how well will it be distributed

I'm interested in the Optimus Prime of this set. That's all. If I buy the set I'll sell the other figures.

I found Perceptor and Krok today. It has allowed me to finally have my definitive '86 Movie Cast. Not the greatest picture, but it's cool to have them all together.

I wish this set was available already. Not sure if I'll keep or sell the other figures, but yea, OP is the reason I really want this set.

Got Quake and Terri-bull, and they are awesome, terri-bull seems like a more generic version of triggerhappy, but it's a nice shade of blue nonetheless.

Quake is gorgeous, still hate his feet, and how they angle upwards as they go towards his heel, meaning that he is prone to fall over if your neighbor sneezes.

Oddly enough, TWINFERNO is still chilling on my desk, I just love this guy, he has so much personality, it's great.

I just realized someone asked me to post a picture of this a while back and I didn't. This is Krok, but it will work on Skullsmasher too. Here's how I connected the tail portion to his arm. Hope this helps.

Alright, thanks to o.supreme, I managed to get the Chaos on Velocitron set. Some thoughts:

Rodimus Prime is awesome. I love the diecast, and he works well as a standalone since he has no vehicle and no body, so he can actually man the guns other figures come with!

Fastlane: he feels sort of drab. I thought I would be more excited with him. And his joints are incredibly tight, like I'm afraid to break him tight.

Nautica is cool, and she feels better in hand than she looked. Really glad to finally have my favorite TF Lady with me!!!

Laser Prime. Wow. I love black and red, and this guy nails it. I love the look, even if the robot mode looks very different from his alt modes. He transforms solidly, and he looks dead sexy! 2nd favorite voyager behind Alpha Trion from the line for me! Plus that sword is awesome.

Quickswitch. Well, let's head down the rabbit hole: he's awesome. this is the figure I would've sold, but he beats Sixshot in every way. He has tight joints and can hold poses! He has so much paint and I like his colors. That wheeled-tank is my main alt mode for him, it works great! Love this figure, glad I got him. He kills papa sixy!

Really ?

For me it's the weakest of the set. (I love all the others)
The amount of paint to cover the diecast completely eliminate the details, which made him gross on all bodies I tried. (all with sculped details etc.
I agree he works well as standalone titan master, but as a head.. meh, at least.

I'm using him as a standalone, which is probably why he works so well. He'll either stay with Laser Prime, or go visit with Kup

Not up to date but has that "Chaos" boxset been found in Canada yet? (Within all the chaos of distribution lol).

I would much rather find the set in store then have to order it.

So first it was just Vangelus, but apparently quite a few other people are reporting in saying they got Top Spin by finding him as the only Titans Return figure left on the peg/shelves. What do we even call this oddity?

I'd love to have some of that luck...I did find Brawn though. Beggars can't be choosers and all that.

Speaking of which, Brawn is a fun little dude. He can strike quite a few poses and doesn't have any inherent flaws. He might be the best Legends of the line, but that might just be the new toy sensation.

Makes perfect sense, this is the latest wave and he is the only non shortpacked figure that wasnt on the show. So yeah, he would be the only one left.

Out of the 2 stores I've seen this wave at, Kup seems to be the one that is left. Shame though, because he's the best figure in the wave.

Agreed!

As for me, the wave sells out pretty quickly but it was always Krok and Quake which were last to go.

I dunno. Hasbro-Kup is kinda ugly (in my opinion. I don't like the blocky arms, colour scheme or weirdly stretched looking head...all of which I find 'fixed' on Takara's) so maybe he just looks boring to a younger collector compared to the other figures and some older fans like myself are ordering takara's figure instead.

I got Rodimus Prime by himself from eBay. I like it, and placed him on the Hot Rod body, while putting the Hot Rod head in the cab. Also, going back, I am just now considering buying Galvatron. Is that figure worth it? I like the colors, and he looks like he could be a decent G1 homage.

I'd say yes he is. The flip up face mask is really the only stupid part of the toy (the titan master is unpainted grey, but it doesn't bother me), but he has decent articulation, is nice and beefy and looks good in robot and jet mode (except for the mentioned face mask). Take some good looks at that mask. If it doesn't bother you, go for it. Of course, there are helmets that have been made to replace it if it really bothers you.

His jet mode is eh. It's fine as some starfighter type craft, but mine will rarely ever go in that mode.

I'm getting both. With Kup, seeing him in person he looks way better. And the more I messed with him the more I liked him.

He`s the best Galvatron figure we have ever gotten in terms of likeness to his G1 self. The only problem with him is that face mask, but I am still glad I own him.

I agree with "yes, get him". My only complaint is the flip up mask, and I like the Arwing mode!! I know he's been in that mode more than tank mode, maybe even more than robot mode. He's in it right now waiting to fly around the house!!

As Insurgent mentioned, there are plenty of options on Shapeways and other outlets for a different head/helmet. He's one of those figures I never get tired of playing with.

Depends on your priorities.

If you want a good figure, you may be let down by a few of his negatives.
If you want a good representation of the character; he's the best you've got (aside from much more expensive third party products) and you might be fine working around his negatives by either shapeways/third party upgrades or going "ehhhhhh this isn't the worst thing ever I guess".

And yes ideally we want both, but it depends on what matters most to you.

It's odd because the only wave 4 deluxes I've seen to date are Krok & Quake, and supposedly there are only one of these per case, and two of all the others. Either there is no love for repaints outside of this forum, or I am just in some weird toy twilight zone, which I've actually suspected for many years based on what I find, when I find them.

Well, they are the more obscure characters of the bunch and the only new molds, and one could easily argue the molds don't fit the characters. To most collectors those two are likely the easiest to ignore.

I just got Topspin and Sixshot a week or so ago and they are both fantasticolisious. Topspin is so sweet looking with that shade/colour of blue and is a perfect update from his G1 self. Really cool transformation as well. I understand the people who say Sixshot is basically a better articulated version of his G1 toy self, but that is great to me. He is one I never owned as a kid so I'm happy to have him now. Love his robot, wolf, truck, AA tank modes. Jet mode is decent too but the gun mode is the weakest of the 6.

To the person thinking about getting Galvatron, I say go for it. Best Galvy we have ever gotten and after fixing the mask problem, by either shapeways helm or snipping off the mask, redoing it slighty and gluing it on the face, he is perfect. Oh I also took off the nosecone/cockpit of mine and snipped off the part that he always has stand up behind his head. There happens to be a hole u can use to put it on his back. Looks awesome.

Fellow Seibertronians, I need a little help.

I thought I hit the jackpot today when I came across a case of wave 4 deluxes on the rack at Meijer. I had a coupon for $5 off $20 of toys and grabbing Perceptor and Kup was a no-brainer for me, especially Perceptor because I had him back when I was a kid and I love the G1 toy head on the Titan Master.

Then I opened them up and my world came crashing down around me. Here is why:

The only Titan Master that fits in Perceptor's head slot is Convex. I don't care how good this representation is, I'm buying this version in a large part for the "Cross On!" gimmick and I can't do a "Cross On!" with Perceptor's body. Convex fits fine in other slots, but none of my Titan Masters fit in Perceptor's slot.

So my question for anyone else who has Perceptor is do I have a defect or is this a problem with the mold?

As for Kup, his hips are ridiculously loose. As I used a coupon on the these figures I intend to return both due to both of these problems.

My Question for anyone else who has Kup is do you think I have bad luck or is this a problem? And no, I don't just fix toys with floor polish. If it's a little loose I can deal, like with Galvatron, but this is Baltmatrix bad luck wobbly so this figure has to go back. But if this is not a widespread problem should I look to exchange or wait for another store to get the figure and hope for the best?

Thanks in advance for your feedback! ;)^

If it's a little loose I can deal, like with Galvatron, but this is Baltmatrix bad luck wobbly so this figure has to go back. But if this is not a widespread problem should I look to exchange or wait for another store to get the figure and hope for the best?

Thanks in advance for your feedback! ;)^

My Kup also had some loose hips. I fixed them with some napkins on the ball joints. I don't know if it's a widespread issue.

My Perceptor can have different heads other than Convex.

You realised that bit that sticks up behind his head has enough hinges to swing down flat against his back so it doesn't stick up?

My Kup's hips are sort of loose, but they are not enough that he flops around. Just a smidge loose, nothing more than that.

As for Perceptor, I think that is sort of based on how much stress you are willing to put on the head swap, and some luck. My Perceptor is pretty good, but Rodimus Prime and Diac are troublesome with going on any body, even Prime's own body.

I think it's likely to do with how Perceptor's headmaster gimmick is apparently the most difficult to do. Can't remember if it's the slot's fault or the headmaster's head shape fault tho.
