TRANSFORMERS: THE JAPANESE COLLECTION – Super-God Masterforce -- Following their victory over the DESTRONS (a/k/a DECEPTICONS) at the end of Headmasters, the CYBERTRONS (AUTOBOTS) depart Earth, leaving behind only a small group to protect the planet from any future menace. But when the powerful DESTRONS return to an unsuspecting planet, the CYBERTRONS must come out of hiding to defend their human friends once again — only this time they’ll be unable to do it on their own!
TRANSFORMERS: THE JAPANESE COLLECTION – Victory -- Victory is the third and final installment of this Japanese trilogy— introduces four new factions to the TRANSFORMERS universe. Each group comes equipped with its own unique power and the ability to combine to form much larger, more powerful TRANSFORMERS, making each and every battle even more epic!

Though it's a bittersweet feeling, I've been waiting for this for a while.
I kind of find it a bit hypocritical that they keep using "Cybertron" and "Destron" on the packaging when the subs use "Autobot" and "Decepticon".
I still wanna know the retail release date (not the online release date, which we know is 1/10/2012).

Darth Bombshell wrote:That's great, but when are Masterforce and Victory going to be available individually?
I don't know man, since this set was announced, I have not heard anything about individual releases. I have a copy (DVD) of the Masterforce series with the UK english dub, and the new Headmasters box set. Victory is causing a problem for me too.

No kidding. Going by the price of Headmasters alone, you'd think it would be less expensive to get them individually rather than the whole set.

According to this, it was supposed to have been released this week, but unless the stores near me didn't stock it, it wasn't. It could have gotten held back when this did, but I never heard about it.

Shortly after that was posted, that statement was retracted (though this was mostly for the Complete Collection, but since there's been no such announcement for Masterforce I guess it's safe to assume the same for it).Darth Bombshell wrote:GetRightRobot wrote:I don't know man, since this set was announced, I have not heard anything about individual releases.

Look at the list of DVD contents near the bottom of the page. There's a ton of typos and other weirdness all over!
These episode titles seem to have been taken from a bunch of sources such as the Metrodome/Madman DVDs, TV-Nihon's fansubs, and TFWiki's episode lists.
"The Master Sword Is In Danger" is missing the word "Sword"
Goshooter's name in Masterforce episode 6 is parsed "Go Shooter".
The term "Godmaster" is consistently used when Hasbro said that they would be using "Powermaster" instead.
"A Fierce Battle!! The Autobots Are In Trouble" mispells "Fierce" as "Pierce".
"Expose The Decepticons’ Dark Trap" is missing the word "Trap".
"The Underground City Of Terror" should be written as "Big City - Underground Terror" since the city itself is neither underground nor terrible.
All six clip show episodes (minus the fourth one) that were broadcast in Japan are listed here, in spite of them not being included in the Metrodome and Madman DVDs (because they aren't necessary).
Though, if they were gonna include these, why leave out the fourth? If it was done on purpose, why not leave them all out?
"Assemble! Combiner Warriors" is written as "Transformer Warriors Assembled".
"The Strongest! Victory Saber" is missing its first half, reading as only "Victory Saber".

Neither of these places I'm afraid. I'm in Singapore, S.E Asia.

Heh heh. Funny you mention that, since Singapore was one of the places that got these shows broadcasted in terrible English.unicron nemesis wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Where you at? Both Europe and Australia got these series on DVD first.unicron nemesis wrote:If only they ship outside US...darn...

Just wait till it comes to retail. Sheesh.kirbenvost wrote:Great, so it's exclusive to Shout Factory's store, and they only ship to the US. F U, Shout Factory, F U.

There's actually no place to buy these locally for me now, since our HMV locations are all going out of business, and I doubt Best Buy/Future shop would stock something so obscure... Well, I'd gladly buy it on Amazon too, so if it's not *only* available from Shout Factory, I don't have to worry.

The Beast Wars complete set started off as an exclusive to their site, yet it came out to retail many months later.kirbenvost wrote:I thought exclusive to their store meant it's not coming out at retail at all.

IIRC, Darth Bombshell told me that this set will also be coming to retail much later on as well.
