In 2005, TRANSFORMERS fans were introduced to the animated series TRANSFORMERS CYBETRON, the third installment of the rare UNICRON Trilogy – consisting of ARMADA, ENERGON and CYBERTRON. Unicron has been defeated, but his destruction has created a black hole, which is threatening the Autobots’ home world of Cybertron. It’s up to Optimus Prime, his team of heroic Autobots and their new human friends — Coby, Lori and Bud — to secure the four mystical Cyber Planet Keys, in order to destroy the black hole. Unfortunately, Megatron and the Decepticons are always lurking. And if the Cyber Planet Keys fall into their hands, it could mean the end of life as we know it. The race is on!

I coulda sworn I saw one on eBay and Amazon not too long ago.

I forgot who was putting out Transformers DVDs before Shout Factory, but they did a box set of Cybertron too.
I think at this point the only English-langiage Transformers shows that aren't on DVD are RID and the cartoon they made for the Playskool Gobots. I somehow doubt either of those will be seeing the light of day any time soon, RID because IIRC Disney owns it now, and Go-Bots because it's four ten-minute episodes that barely got aired the first time around.

You are correct.Skywarp64 wrote:Hold up, don't we already have a DVD box set of the complete Cybertron series?

In fact, every English-language TF cartoon that Shout! Factory has released or will release on DVD (minus TF: Prime and Rescue Bots) have already been released on DVD once before, making the Shout! Factory releases be the second time each has been released in the U.S.:
- G1: Rhino (2001-2004), Shout! Factory (2009-2010)
- Beast Wars: Rhino (2002-2004), Shout! Factory (2011)
- Beast Machines: Rhino (2006), Shout! Factory (2014)
- Armada: Rhino (2004-2006), Shout! Factory (2014)
- Energon: Paramount (2008), Shout! Factory (2014)
- Cybertron: Paramount (2008), Shout! Factory (2014)
- Animated: Paramount (2008-2009, minus season 3), Shout! Factory (2014)

Was Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection (2008) something different? I think this is what is throwing off Skywar74 in the first comment.
You can find this Ultimate collection on Ebay and Amazon but no where does it say if it's the 3rd in the series. Armada, Energon, Cybertron.

Already clarified about that above:Max_Prime wrote:I was looking online and saw that the 3rd series of the Unicron series is coming to DVD. (said above in post)

Separate releases of the same show.Max_Prime wrote:What you said does not state anything about the connection of the two sets in question. A simple "yes that is the same series" would have been a much easier answer. What you said was they all have been released before, which does not answer if Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection (2008) is the same or not.
Nemesis Primal also mentioned to him that there was an earlier release of the series before Shout! Factory's release.

Though, the menus are likely to be different, if that matters.Max_Prime wrote:Thank you. I just wanted confirmation that Transformers Cybertron: The Ultimate Collection was the same thing and not some compilation of other series.
