Has anyone ever confirmed the existence of a metal pin variant of starscream? Or was it all unsubstantiated? If they released a version of one of the other seekers with the pin I would definitely buy one.. as if I d the toy excellent except for the chest popping off all the time.

Yeah, apparently it was someone pulling eveyone's collective leg.

From what I've found it seems to have just been a hoax, but who knows maybe they'll pin Thundercracker.

I think I'll get him. Not really a fan of the mold, but if I get one or 2, he'll be one of them. That red is delicious

Well, if they don't, Combiner Wars should fulfill your desire for oversize Seekers.

This toy is currently available for preorder at Robotkingdom.com for $35.90 USD. The markup is because Robotkingdom is not the exclusive retailer.

But you know what? I would much rather have gotten this in the Classics mold. Yes I realize that toy is ancient, does not match the play pattern, and is too small, but for completion's sake, couldnt we have gotten it one more time?

I'm surprised that mold survived all the uses; 30 give or take.

There's not really anything going on, being such an obscure character born of misunderstanding between Takara, Hasbro, E-Hobby and Funpub. So I guess the appeal is 1) Hey, one more Siege seeker! and 2) Well, he's never had a toy before!.
Maybe add 3) Hey, we can actually buy an obscure-ass Seeker figure without Botcon these days! Hooray!

I would also add 4) His color scheme is very similar/the same as Armada Starscream, if you're into that, and 5) the fan involvement with the character's creation, as it's pretty much Powered Convoy's fault that Red Wing went from misunderstanding to obscure Seeker/actual character, and I at least think that's pretty cool.

Count me among them. HasTak obviously goofed and mixed up the face sculpts at the factory.

Yeah, he's basically just another distinct Seeker for the ranks. With the bonus of being one who has no prior toy

If the battle damage is the only issue, just wipe it off with some rubbing alcohol. I like the damage overall, but I might wipe it off of some figures after I add Selects characters like Smokescreen.

You can't wipe off the battle damage when it's paint on paint, though. Battle damage paint on bare plastic is no problem to remove, but when it's on top of already paint on detail, you're going to lose both paints in the process.

If you are referring to the 'Rainmaker' trio, then the yellow one is not Sunstorm but rather called Nova Storm. Their trio consist of Acid Storm, Nova Storm and Ion Storm. People assume Sunstorm is considered a Rainmaker (he isn't, its Nova Storm who is the yellow one)....except when his Botcon set is called that due to miscommunications. Oops.

So just out of curiosity, how do we tell the difference between Sunstorm and Nova Storm? Are they a different shade of yellow? Because when I see a yellow seeker I immediately think Sunstorm.Skritz wrote:ausbot wrote:Sunstorm or Acid storm please or even the periwinkle generic would be awesome.

As for Red Wing, I really like the sharp red paint, it pops. I bet he looks great next to Thundercracker, his blue is really sharp as well. Not sure if I will pick it up, I only collect Starscream. But the vehicle mode for this mold looks really good with a solid paint job, regardless of which color.

As for two similarly coloured seekers, they did that again in Cyberverse with Nova Storm and Slipstream and I sure couldnt tell them apart just based on colour.

If your Cyberverse reference is what I think it is, then what they did might actually be worse: they took Nova Storm, who is usually yellow and technically the only yellow named Seeker since Sunstorm is orange, and made them purple and a female character despite the show ALSO using Slipstream, causing possible confusion where there didn't need to be.

Yes excactly, and they kept that all throughout the show, making it very confusing in the final climactic battles.

Slipstream is purple and teal, though, and has a black helmet. Cyberverse Nova Storm is all purple (well, two shades of purple, but even her helmet is purple).william-james88 wrote:Nemesis Primal wrote:william-james88 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:So just out of curiosity, how do we tell the difference between Sunstorm and Nova Storm?
