If you've been confused about the availability of the Power of the Primes Nemesis Prime figure, you're not alone. He's popped in and out of availability for preorder on Amazon's U.S. site where he's set to be a Prime Day exclusive, and some people have even been able to place preorders, with delivery expected on Prime Day, which falls on July 17th this year.

Then, to add to the confusion, notice was received from Amazon by those who'd ordered him, that he'd be shipping and arriving earlier than that, on July 11th.

Well, either Prime Shipping is just that good, or Prime Day has come early, because fellow Seibertronian yours truly (Bounti76) received the sought after figure on the morning of Monday, July 9th!

Below are a few pictures showing him in hand, including the packaging he came in, which is slightly larger than the standard Leader Class box from the POTP line, as well as comparison photos with Combiner Wars Toxitron, who uses a headsculpt originally intended to be Nemesis Prime in that line before the decision was made to turn it into Toxitron.

And so the saga continues! Have any of you who were able to preorder him received your Nemesis Prime figures? Please let us know, and hopefully, those who still want the figure will be able to pick him up on Prime Day.

Glad you got yours Bounti! Haven't opened mine yet but was very happy to have him arrive this early. I'd assume more people will be getting theirs this week before Prime Day

I'm rather pleased as well. I passed on the regular Leader Optimus in POTP, so this is my only experience with this mold. Other than the feet being kind of hard to pose, he's very cool looking- I'm a pushover for a Nemesis/black Optimus deco.

And yes to the organization for this. POTP distribution for the entire line can best be described as a hot mess. :lol:

Did any of you want to wait until SDCC to finally see what Repugnus and Punch / Counterpunch were goint to look like? Well for those who couldn't wait, we have some images for you. And not just some blurry pics or part of the leg, but full on official images of the toys (and not renders either). These were uplaoded to the internet by Squigsquasher and also Tweeted by General Tekno.

As presumed, Repugnus shares the Twinferno and Grotusque mold with some remolding of his own. He does end up similar to several digibashes of the past year but with a much more prominant head, as we would hope.

Punch / Counterpunch is a true enigma since not only is it a new mold but while he represents the Power of the Primes portion of the Prime Wars, he does not appear to be able to combine. He does come with a special edition clear Prime Master.

These should be amazon exclusives and we will be sure to tell you when they will be available for order.

I'm both impressed and letdown at the same time. Impressed that they both look really good, mold-wise (save for Repugnus's unsightly abdomen). Letdown because Punch isn't a combiner and Repugnus looks like his robot head has no paint.

And couldn't the photographer be bothered lift up Punch's helmet to show his eyes for both of his robot modes?

Gotta admit. I'm impressed by Punch. Maybe because I was just expecting a hokey repaint.

Repugnus is sadly along the lines of what I was expecting although it's still nice to complete the trio.

I agree. As cool as it would be for him to be a combiner, I'm fine with leaving it out if it means that his individual robot modes aren't compromised by the peg.

I'm glad Punch isn't another pointless combiner. The car and Autobot modes both look good. And the only combiners I want moving forward are REAL ONES. Seacon's, Takara version of LioKaiser, Trainbots and Monstructor. I'd give DJD set that combines a pass (if done right) but that's it! I don't need 5 or 6 Bumblebee's merging to become Bumbleslator to singlehandedly kill Unicron.

Repugnus looks completely bad. So unless it ends up with a clearance price somewhere I'll skip it.

Yeah, he was gonna be a limb for Elita Infin1te. But now I can't do that, so I gotta swap out one of the CW Autobots to give to her and then replace that one for a different CW limb to give to the CW combiner(s) who would lose (a) limb(s).

Before this was announced, I grabbed Combiner Counterpunch because I needed a Punch for my shelf and this was better than nothing.

Still, I can pretend he's the original Counterpunch, before Punch stole his identity.

Punch looks pretty good, I love the car mode especially.

Repugnus is derpy but he should be- his original toy was hilariously adorable (especially considering his bio). A bit annoying that he and Grotusque are exclusives but if I can get them (and Twinferno/Doublecross) it's be awesome to have a matching trio of Monsterbots. I actually really like them all using the same base mold for some reason. The Headmaster looks a bit weak but I might try and nab the TR version for him.

Tell me more of this bumbleslator. I'm very interested. Can he only combine with other bumblebees? Do they have to be from the same continuity or do they all have to be from different continuities. Is he a multiversal agent of kid-appeal and destruction?

I'm thinking his primary color should be yellow, but the chest should be black. Maybe the head should be gold and blue for a goldbug representation? This combiner is going to be awesome! :KREMZEEK:

Or maybe he'll be able to combine with cj, hubcap, bumper, and glyph???

Yes, and I am glad to have it. I'm a bit sad about the new one not being a combiner limb, but now that its not, I don't have to get it. It is an impressive toy to be sure, but I think in truth, its probably something that was planned for TR, but the idea of having a removable head for 2 bots was too complicated so they saved it (or perhaps a precursor to WFC?). My guess is that it may be engineered from some pre-existing TR toy, but I'll leave that for more savvy fans to figure out.

In fact, the more that I think about it, it would make more sense. Punch/Counterpunch would have been a great way to introduce the War For Cybertron line as a SDCC exclusive, if they removed the Prime Master, there would have been no pre-existing expectations of being a combiner limb.

So basically now we will have 3 Voyagers (Starscream, Elita-1 and Inferno) with 2 limbs each. So here's to hoping that we get at least 6 deluxe limbs in WFC to finish those off, then all the other deluxes can be new original bots (we know Mirage and Impactor at least are coming) that don't have to be bound to any specific gimmick.

About the only thing I can see for remold/reuse is that it uses the Breakdown/Wheeljack wheels. Otherwise I cannot pinpoint any old mold use. That is shocking for a Special Edition.

Agreed. I think many of us are still puzzling over how to complete our half-finished gestalts after these reveals.

And seeing Wreck Gar against all those bright colors, I can't see attaching him to anything we have so far. Best to just set him aside till I can make a custom out of all Junkions. :-(

BUT I do have a lot of hope for finishing out combiners. The new line is supposed to be cybertronian alt modes, and that's exactly what the femmebots are. I could also see the rainmaker tetrajets being limbs for Starscream. Mind you, trying to work out that transformation accurately AND working around a big combiner port violate the laws of physics. :-(

Still wondering about Sideswipe. He seems to be the only missing first year car. Still holding out hope for him, Hoist, Cliffjumper, Huffer, a silver Bluestreak...

Some wet blanket will no doubt respond and say how it's not going to happen, but I can still hope. :michaelbay:

Surprised that Punch-Counterpunch is an original mould, I may actually try getting one now. The robot modes don't impress me that much, but I like the vehicle mode. Hopefully it's out on time for TFNation and I can get one there.
I've been contemplating getting Repugnus for a while, because Twinferno is still quite common at brick-and-mortar in my region and it looks like getting Grotusque won't be as hard as I thought, but I have no personal attachment to the Monsterbots, so I don't know if I should really bother.

Eh. Repugnus looks pure ugly crud in both forms (one of the worst looking TF's I've ever seen). Punch looks nice in car mode but neither robot mode does it for me (but I never liked the original toy/character(s)) but hey it's not another silly combiner limb retool so there's that. And I kinda like how they even bother to switch hand colours too though still an easy pass on both of these.

But yeah, starting to really scrape the bottom of the G1 barrel at this point.

I was debating whether or not to mention it, but, yes. I feel like I've seen that vehicle mode before on some other figure.

I can see some similarities with movie Drift, but it isn't accurate. I feel like this isn't a new mold, it feels as if I've had this figure before & transformed it into its car mode.

Wonder if it is based on a movie figure, or maybe even some other figure.

Punch\Counter-Punch reminds me of Pointblack when in Decepticon mode and (perhaps strangely) Nightbeat when in Autobot mode.

Certainly looks like the toy was intended to be two different characters with the same alt-mode at some point, with Punch\Counter-Punch being the 'bonus' figure.

Anyway - its pretty awesome. I'm sad I'll have to miss him.

Okay, where in the HELL did this Punch/Counterpunch mold come from? It vaguely looks like an impossibly heavily retooled Titans Return Hot Rod. Oh man, why is this thing going to be impossible to obtain. :-(

We have had new molds be exclusives in the past. I know the RID line was ignored by many fans but the fully original mold of Legion Megatronus (shown below) was a special exclusive and never reused:

Punch/Counterpunch looks great. I'm glad they focused more on getting his Autobot & Decepticon robot modes right than trying to force him into the current combiner gimmick. As for the other guy.....he looks OK. At least now I can have a third full sized Monsterbot to replace that miniature stand in I have on my shelf right now.

How is it genius? I thought the original toy did that but had much less hollow looking bug arms.

I currently live on a knife-edge student loan and have to pick\choose my figures wisely. When I see the preorder, I can balance it up, but all I keep seeing in my minds eye is that shiny,shiny MP Prime V3 on the horizon... :BOOM:

Yeah, I’m going to need that Punch/Counterpunch. Sucks because I’ll be at Fort Benning in he middle of BCT/AIT when he and Blast Off are released. :-(

Repugnus, eh. Good for those that want to complete the Monsterbots but I don’t have them nor feel the need to have them.

WOW!!!! That Punch and Counterpunch are even more than I expected, and I had high expectations. All 3 modes look awesome and I also think a Nightbeat and Pointblank repaint could work. Plus he isnt comprimised by some gimmick jammed into him. So excited to have a chance to finally get a good modern Punch/CP. Been using my old G1 figure as stand-in for my CHUG/Generations collection forever. Its one of only 3 G1 figures I have left from childhood( Punch/CP, Hot Rod and Gnaw, if anyone was curious) and one of my very top fav Transformer characters. Even though he was only shown a couple mins in Rebirth, I thought he was cool as a kid. Then later I got to watch TF: Headmasters and loved all the Punchingness it had. Another great thing I had said I wanted in this new figure was for him to have his Headmaster head/face styles, and he does! Really hope I dont miss him at retail, cant afford aftermarket prices. If u cant tell I am pumped, :DANCE:

EDIT: Oh also good luck Mindmaster. I did my basic at Fort Benning as well back in 2003.

Oh, I see. I was looking at the art wrong all together. I was thinking it was Punch and Repugnus together. That's what happens when I get over excited....

Still can't see anyone fooling for Punch/Counterpunch's disguise though. I mean he still looks so similar in both modes I'd at least think he was the 'brother' of his other self like Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. Animated Shockwave did a little better but still think the best at that whole concept I can think of was G1 Doubledealer by having totally different modes for Bot and Con (just still stuck with the same general colour scheme with a fair bit more purple in Con birdy form due to the wings).

Pro: That punch/counterpunch is the best looking figure I have seen from Hasbro since before Combiner Wars.
Con: It's so good it's gonna sell out everywhere and be impossible to find.

I'm pretty sure you are the only one. This appears to me to be a completely new mold. The robot mode is basically the same for both bot and con with just the arms/shoulders reconfigured, so all the rest of the car kibble has to tuck into the legs or the torso. The middle of the torso is where the head is stored for car mode. The middle parts of the hood have to fold up and tuck into the area where the head is stored. The whole back half of the car plus the roof and windshield become the legs.

This is nothing like TR Hot Rod or anything else Generations I have seen yet over the past 10 years. I don't collect the other lines, so I couldn't say if either of those lines touches on something similar.

Punch/Counterpunch only comes with one gun? EPIC FAIL HASBLOW!!!!!!! Seriously though that looks really awesome! They took the original toy design and really tweaked it!
