Transformers Studio Series Wave 3 is slowly tricking in the US but it had not been found in Canada yet. That has now changed since fellow Seibertronian Kanrabat has found this wave at a Walmart in Laval, Canada. This is a rather particular wave since it is the first to incorporate toys from the current Bumblebee film in this line centered around toys of previous films. The new toys in this wave include Volkswagen Bumblebee, Dark of the Moon Ratchet and Shadow Raider. Thsese were priced at $29.99 CAD. The case contents can be found below:
CROWBAR X 1
BUMBLEBEE X 3
RATCHET X 2
RAIDER X 2

Uh I wouldn't. I frickin' hate all those lazy repaints of seekers. Especially Acid Storm, Sunstorm and all those other colouring error ones. I like how it is now with Starscream and Thundercracker being completely different figures.
Anyways I've had to give up on my £33.99 VW Bee I ordered well over a month ago from eBay as it never turned up and I have to wait til Oct 4th before I can try claim my money back. I've now ordered one from Amazon.co.uk for £23.97 cos they're more available now and should be here by Saturday though my enthusiasm for the figure has decreased somewhat because my ethusiasm for the film has decreased a LOT (and if they start putting blocky G1-style bots into Studio Series I will be extremely annoyed, that's what all that Titans/PotP/Siege stuff is for that I generally don't bother with).

Same, especially since it would be the ideal alt mode to form their chest.

Yep, I've moved on from trying to figure out the plan. I'm just happy when I get stuff I like and keep my mouth and wallet shut when I don't.

To be honest, while I want toysof all these bumblebee movie characters, seeing the Bumblebee makes me think its better we wait. At least now Hasbro has the full CG models and has a line where they can release these characters later. In most cases, the second toy of a character is better than the previous (Knight Optimus Prime, Hound, Crosshairs, Leader Prime from the early films, ect).

ZeroWolf wrote:That is true, still feels like a marketing misstep, but as long as we do get them eventually.
To be fair, all the marketting is going towards the toys aimed at younger kids. This film is aimed at them (more so than the previous) and so is that film's toyline. Hasbro is basically using us (fansites) as the marketting outlet for Studio Series and getting the word out.

That, and I’d still prefer word of Bonecrusher and Hatchet to complete the teams.

I wouldn't count on it, we never got proper Triple-changing toys for the movie, with the two modes split between two toys.
Also, Devastator in the movie has more components than the 6 or 7 that ended up being released as toys. At the very least, the crane arm has an additional component for the "fingers". And let's not bring up the vehicles that form his... you know...

Except combined modes are usually not counted for a Triple-Changer name, but I will admit your point. Even then, we need more (named) components for a proper movie-accurate Devastator... tho I think we all can live without... that...

This is true, and it's also worth noting that you see several components of devastator fighting at the same time you see devy climbing the pyramid.

...okay, I swear there was an Amazon listing for a voyager Bonecrusher at some point that everyone got excited about, I think I even saw it (although I think it shortened his name to Voyager Bonecrush), so unless I'm just insane which I might be for all I know, Bonecrusher is coming, don't worry about it. In fact, I think that Bonecrusher listing showed up in tandem with a listing for the second Prime we're just now getting a picture and number for, so if Prime's SS-32, Bonecrusher's most likely SS-31, as there has to be SOMEONE between Crankcase and Prime and they pretty much have to be Voyager class given the progression of the numbers in correlation to the price points.
Now that that's out of the way...
Cogman: Already got TLK Cogman online months ago, I doubt I'll get this one.
Drift: No thanks.
Scrapmetal: I just mentioned yesterday that I wanted a SS Trench, and the next day a listing shows up for an obscure Constructicon with the same body type. If they actually make this and retool it into Trench, I will be shocked and amazed and buy them both, but regardless, Scrapmetal is on the purchase list now.
Hightower: If we're actually getting a proper scaled/non-Legends class figure of Hightower that actually turns into his insane robot mode design, that's going to be hilariously amazing and I need it.

Oh, we saw the Bonecrusher listing. But it's the fact that we've had reveals we didn't even have a leak for that has caused some impatience

I completely forgot about that, bizarre. Slightly off but same deal with Optimal Optimus, I think he's the only PotP figure that hasn't had an official Amazon listing pop up - he's still $100 on there.

I wonder if they got burned by earlier waves not moving fast enough.

Rysquad wrote:If not just a repack, I hope that Cogman is still Titan Master compatible.
I don't see why he wouldn't be. That would require retooling to remove a decent non-intrusive action feature and technically the Titan Master is Cogman himself being that he's human sized. And you have the Titan Master compatible Thundercracker (being that he's a new head of Nitro) already in Studio Series. I still kinda hope they add a tiny Anthony Hopkins this time around. I mean... I also don't cos it would mean I'd end up buying the figure twice but come on they should have done it the first time around seeing as how Cogman's car seats two!
Waiting to see what SS32 actually looks like in figure form all decoed out before I consider buying it. I wanted a gun with the original one (and probably get the Dr Wu gun for him) and I'm happy with the paintwork and toyhax stickers I added to my figure but yeah let's see if they at least improved the factory colours this time around. Don't suppose he'd be a bit bigger this time to look a bit more imposing next to Ironhide?
