Video Review for Rise of the Beasts Wheeljack

I still find that Wheeljack toy to be almost perfect. My only beef is the scale of the vehicle may be too small. But that ain't a dealbreaker for me and he will be a sure purchase. I hope Toyhax will come up with a cool Reprolabels sheet to turn him into a new character. Maybe even with a beard we can clip on for the full hippie look.

Wheeljack continues to look great, I eagerly anticipate him.

If they used him as a base for Canopy, I would be OK with that, even if I think SS Long Haul would be a better base, maybe as a selects repaint.

Also hoping his alt mode will lead to Dreadbot finally getting a figure.

I don't believe you at all. If that character would have been presented as Larry Robotson instead of Wheeljack, you would never had taking it as a "personal insult" and hated it. At worse you would just have been indifferent.

I agree NOT Wheeljack looks okay, unfortunately I simply don't need some bizarre looking bot due to space issues. I've passed up many a Transformers that I have a passing like for due to that fact.
While neat it just doesn't have that "must buy" vibe for me. Then again none of the live actions Movie bots have.

What about ROTF Mindwipe? Random question, I know, but while movie bots were never my Forte, that one was must buy when I first learnt of its existence.

Honestly don't recall ever seeing Mindwipe, then again ROTF was very forgettable.

Looking at the toy the alt mode looks pretty cool, the bot mode though is way to spindly. But I will say he's not the worst movie TF design I've ever seen.

I actually really like movie Hot Rod but I just don't have a big enough interest to justify the space, I'm already running out and I'm not even finished with G1.

Oh man, that SS Hot Rod is a great toy. Really nice Evolution of the traditional G1 hood of car as chest design. And if you like lambos, well this one's for you.
But I'm easy to please. I even like the SS crosshairs for the simple reason that his trenchcoat is well integrated into the alt mode.

It's a movie aimed at nerds that also has a strong Black culture vibe. Urkel was both a nerd and Black. That matches up nicely. I see nothing wrong, here.

We haven't actually seen Wheeljack in the ROTB so accuracy and representation is up in the air at the moment.

Just pointing out that culture has no color.
There's black people all over the world. the world have hundreds of countries. Those countries can have dozens of provinces/counties. Those provinces/counties can have dozens of cities and villages. Those villages can have dozens or hundreds of neighborhood. Those neighborhood can have thousands of families. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE STEPS CAN HAVE THEIR OWN CULTURE AND SUBCULTURE.
Now repeat this for every single "races". And consider that many, so many of these cultures can be shared and mixed, no matter the color of the skin.

When someone associate a culture to a color, it piss me off to no end. Because that's saying "All of those of the color X are the same." That's textbook genuine racism.

The producers saying "celebrating black/hispanic culture" are either clueless about that fact (like too many others) or they may have been coerced into claiming that just so they can earn their ESG money.

Also, Eckel wasn't the only one who had the "Nerd look". He just had the classic Nerd look like so many had before him. But to be honest, I think it's a case of "chicken and egg" here.

Technically just ignorance for the vast amount of people simply because they don't know anything beyond their own borders. And actually you can attribute color to some cultures because they've never interbred with anyone outside their race. There are plenty of culture on this Earth who are still only one color due to the fact they have no interaction with the outside world.

A lot of people want to blame racism on everything it seems maybe because they need to create a villain to overcome as their life lacks anything of real substance. The Prime we've seen in trailers in both robot and truck mode is just a slightly recolored Bumblebee movie Prime.

I expect he may upgrade to the chunkier alt mode we got in Cyberverse at some point in the movie, so the other figure will be likely following that in what should be an entirely new mold.

The phrase "Beast Mode" will probably be used in the movie, so its use here is likely just for marketing purposes and brand recognizability.

Seriously though, these are all really cute, I may see if my nephew would have any interest in one or more of them when they're out.

The Battlemasters are my favorites right now.

Even if the combination is reminiscent of the clunky Spark Armor Cyberverse toys, any dual combining in TFs that small speaks to me.

Add in the Battlemasters, and this line is going to add up to me spending a lot more than I thought just a week ago.

That Skullcruncher battlemaster looks pretty sweet

25 new reveals and you'd think statistically one would be good, but no, they're all dogshit for 6 yo's. We've reached the period of time where mainline iconic characters are now shelfwarmers. The only company profiting off this is Ollie's.

These look great. Kids from all ages will be able find something to like.

Rhinox and Rhinox Gattling gun battle master look awesome. Would like 2 pair those 2 up.

Cheetor Sword is also pretty cool. As is Chainclaw chainsaw.


So there's Skullcruncher gun and armor figures.
and tigatron Crossbow and Armor figures.

Interesting that Rhinox is both a full figure and a battle master too.
And one would assume Cheetor will get a figure in the same size class as Rhinox.
Does that mean there's gonna be a Battlemaster Primal?

The little animals that changed to weapons look REALLY neat, very reminiscent of the ones from Siege. As for the rest, Im not the target demograph so not much disgruntlement here
