Video Reviews for Scout Ratchet and Shadow Striker and One Step Wheeljack and Hot Rod from Cybervers

Thanks to the In Demand Toys Facebook page we're getting our first look at stock photos of some of the highly anticipated Cyberverse Spark Armor figures. Under the Power of the Spark subtitle we're looking at three of the four figures found in wave 1 of the new Battle Class.

Starscream with Demolition Destroyer
Sky-Byte with Drill Driver
Prowl with Cosmic Patrol







Not seen is Jetfire with Tank Cannon. It should be noted that In Demand Toys is a UK store and wont be stocking these figures. What do you think of these new stock photos? Sound off in the Energon Pub forums

I actually will probably get some of these if they have actual articulation, the armor part is what's really getting me, I just love that gimmick

All three have arm articulation, Prowl will likely have knees due to his transformation, not sure about Starscream and Sky-Byte though...

I think previous images implied that they have knee articulation as well.

Yep, they all have at least 8 points at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. I'm not positive about neck articulation, but some do have waist articulation at this scale.





I think the figure I might be looking forward to the most is Elite Optimus Prime with Sky Turbine (the jet). It appears to be the best version of the character yet, he has lots of extra articulation not found on the smaller figures, and even has heel spurs so the armor doesn't make him fall over backwards.





He does have a butt flap, though.

If these are like the RID Armor figures these will be the best articulated figures of the line. Just wish they came with weapons.

I think Sy-Byte’s drill tank looks a little more like Drillhorn from the Victory Breastforce

In this day and age, everybody needs some proper butt coverage.

I was right about the size, these look to be around Scout/Legends size and I don't think the larger figures will be bigger than Voyager.

Thanks to a Facebook post by In Demand Toys, we have some new images to share with you today of the upcoming Transformers Cyberverse Warrior Class Gnaw!

Cyberverse Warrior Gnaw is a brand new mold that takes some inspiration from the previously released Titans Return Gnaw figure, though they are not the same mold. He also features a "Mace Mash" attack, where he swings his arm and his mace comes flying at filty Autobot faces!

Gnaw is set to be available later this year alongside the Battle for the Spark figures that include the Spark Armor gimmick. He will retail at $14.99.

Not only does gnaw have mushroom pegs for elbows, but his shark arms seem to be one piece with the head halves. I know the partcounts are tight for this line, but ouch.

I can see getting one or two of these to repaint.

Why do they have the shark head parts hanging off the legs again? It was clunky on the Generations toy and looks clunky here. Why not simply have it as a backpack like the G1 toy?

Glad that what I thought was a peg hole dead center on his torso is really a square, and therefore doesn't really look like a robo-navel.

But for some reason, all the unpainted grey makes him look a youngbot wearing one-piece Sharkticon sleeper PJs in robot mode. So I guess I won't be buying every single toy I see minus-1, like I did with TR Gnaw...and like I may end up doing with the Scraplet.

Oh well, my 20-or-so Prime Wars/Legends Sharkticons, and BotCon Sharkticon and Shark Sentry trios, can probably cope with fewer new playmates this year. But they'll still ask me every day when the Quintessons unique to Dweller in the Depths are going to finally get their toys...

“Inspired by” TR Gnaw? The transformation engineering looks exactly the same to me. Right down to the lazy-butt “hands stuck to the back of the foot” thingy and the monster arms just hanging off his shins.

Currently I have 10 takara and 84 versions of the Power of the Primes mold. I am excited to add many more of this version to my growing army of SHARKS

Thanks to a listing that has cropped up on Amazon UK, we have some new images of the forthcoming Transformers Cyberverse toy, Spark Armour Ark Power Optimus Prime!









The images show the figure in unarmoured robot mode, alt mode, alt mode towing the ark, and of course, the combined robot mode in all its glory.

The figure is the largest out of the Spark Armour subline, and was revealed at New York Toy Fair 2019, click here to check out our coverage of this figure, it's related toyline and more!

The listing itself seems to be a placeholder for now, containing no new information and listing the item as currently unavailable.

Those non-transforming legs make that truck mode look like trash. Still, it may be a nice idea for Optimus to be able to carry the mini Ark. The only fault I see on the bot mode is the unpainted hands. Easily fixable. Way better than the huge truck panels in front of the fists that the other Optimuses have. And the armored mode? It look totally bad-ass. So overall, I think the good far outweigh the bad. I may consider getting him if found on sale.

I'd much rather the figure be able to bend it's knee's than have legs that 'transform', remember, this is cyberverse, where knee's aren't even a given anymore

The head on the Optimus looks a bit small. The min-Ark is the main draw here

its still a halfway decent robot mode and the truck mode despite the legs not compressing is still a better cab than the ultra class version and the Ark Armor looks cool

Knees, shmees...

I'm way past the acceptance stage at this point.

I want this set just FOR the ark itself hope it hits stateside soon

With Toysrus gone from the US, it's been interesting to see how exclusives have gotten into the hands of Americans. Entertainment Earth took the lion's share, but there was one toy that still had no retailer in the US, Transformers Cyberverse Warrior Thundercracker. That is, until now. Exclusive or no, they're not tempting me with anything from the Cyberverse line. I've pretty much written the whole line off as kid stuff, barely a step removed from the "Rescue Bots". And that's cool - if there's a kid-friendly line the more the merrier. But it's not for me...

The price is somewhat higher by default because of the stores being located in proper (outlet) malls, not in standalone buildings or even open strip malls (Toys 'R Us Express actually charged more for some toys than the regular one ). Gotta pay the rent. Go! Calendars is a bit... unusual I must say because that chain focuses more on games, gifts and (of course) calendars, but some stores do have a toy section from what I've seen. My nearest one used to be in an outlet mall my wife works at (Crocs if you must know) a stone's throw away, now the nearest is in a mall that's a 45 minute drive.

If your local mall has a toy store (*GASP*), or even a store with a toy section, check it out!

That Thundercracker is a shelf warmer at TRU Canada.

Well... I don't think this figure is an exclusive: I've sighted it many times here in Italy, even in supermarkets...

When we say "exclusive" we usually mean the U.S. market, even if the item in question could be general retail elsewhere, like in Europe.

Not sure how new this is, spotted Cyberverse Hot Rod at a Walmart north of Richmond, VA. Pretty cool looking, almost bought him. I don’t collect this line but it was tempting.

Transformers costing more in the USA than in Canada. That doesn't happen often.

Transformers costing more in the USA than in Canada. That doesn't happen often.

That' cuz calendar stores upsell toys at really high mark-ups, like absurdly high, I wouldn't look into it any further than that
