So much anticipation and waiting has gone into this long awaited story arc, it's no surprise that everyone wants to know what's going to happen.

Comic Book Resources got a chance to talk with Transformers writing master, Simon Furman, and poked to get more good spoilers out of the author from the upcoming MAXIMUM Dinobots comic series. Remaining true to his tease but don't spoil modus operandi, Mr. Furman gave some info that doesn't kill the story, but may make alot of readers happy.

“You really can just pick up issue #1 and jump right in,” Furman confirmed. “Everything you need to know is right there in the five-issue series. Honest.”

This comment comes from the question of where this story arc ties into. Yes the ground work was laid in various Spotlights such as Shockwave and Grimlock, but this series can stand on its own for those of us who didn't get into all those prior arcs.

If you didn't already know, MAX Dinobots hit comic store shelves today.

Shane McCarthy, the writer of IDW Publishing's series All Hail Megatron, has updated his blog SMAcTALK with an update on his character DRIFT.

Drift was a character I cooked up (with design by Guido Guidi) so it’s a lot of fun to shed some light on just who he is and where he came from.

The initial spark (pardon the pun) for Drift’s creation came about due to two things. Firstly I wanted a character in AHM that had a particular element to him that I didn’t see readily available elsewhere and secondly because, frankly, I thought it would be a great idea for Hasbro to have an Autobot Drift racer.

Shane also reveals that the covers for Issue #10 have been completed, and posts up the two All Hail Megatron #6 Drift covers that have been reported on earlier.

What's the first thing you do when you get a hold of a pre release Transformers figure from a movie that hasn't even furnished a trailer? Well if you're eBay seller katier9297, you have it customized by kitbash artist Frenzy.Rumble and auction it off.

Below are pics of a custom Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Soundwave figure in all their high res glory. Included in the images is the rumored Ravage Missile that, according to the auction, is very rare.

It is very interesting to see a custom done with a figure that hasn't even been officially announced yet, let alone released. What will be more interesting is to see what our Transtopians think about it and how they plan to top it!

HASBRO- I know you have been patiently waiting, salivating for the answers, and good news, our submitted questions have been returned answered! We are privileged to be able to participate in the HASBRO Question and Answer, and we as collectors should be happy to know HASBRO hears our questions, and offers us answers.

Our Questions and Answers for December.

1.) Since the Universe toyline spans TF history, is there any chance of seeing a Transtech figure, or another "figure that never was"/"Lost Figure"? A "What Might Have Been" segment of the Timeline could be interesting to say the least.

HASBRO- It would definitely be interesting to see some of those concepts that didn't make it off the drawing board as a real toy, and the Universe line would be a great place to showcase it. In the immediate future we've got a whole list of other characters that are a little higher on the priority list, but you never know. We like to revisit these old concepts from time to time and if there's a great design we haven't used there is a good
chance it will see the light of day eventually.

2.) Any more Universe Ultras in the works? Are there any particular character(s) that you have been thinking would be a great fit for that particular size?

HASBRO- The team is really concentrating on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen product right now. Because of that, we have not been developing any further Universe Ultra items. However, there are members of the design team who would like to find space for more tanks, but currently nothing is definite.

3.) Most characters in the TF universe are male, but there were a few fem-bots in the 1980s cartoon as well. Will we be seeing any of them in the universe toy line?

HASBRO-For 2009, there are currently no "female" bots planned. However, we do have Arcee in the Animated line and you never know what could appear in Movie 2!

4.) Can you explain the typical pipeline for a toy from concept to finished product, including time & constraints, how many are produced, planning for repaints, etc.? A book illustrating this subject (with many images ) would be a very sought after collectible in the community.

HASBRO- Most items take 12-14 months from concept to store shelf. Hasbro does not discuss numbers or processes, however you can be assured that Hasbro and Takara/Tomy put a lot of love in each design.

5.) What is the hook for on Universe Galvatron's shoulder (the piece is gray and unfolds from another purple folding piece) ? And the fold out shoulder 'legs/feet'? Can you show us the conceptualized use of these features?

HASBRO- Initially, Galvatron was being designed as a triple changer and was actually going to be in a larger class. But once the decision was made to put Galvatron in Deluxe, his third "walker tank" mode was dropped. Because of molding reasons we had to leave some of those extra pieces in there. Here's the initial sketch and idea for the third mode. (see attached)

This second edition shows the IDW made character in both modes, with a backdrop reminiscent of the Japanese "Rising Sun", accentuating the ninja mystique that follows Drift.

Seibertron.com member Cryo Prime has posted a mini review of the MP Optimus Prime/ Convoy upgrade Battle Rollar figure. Check out what he had to share below:

"An insignificant droid." You might make this definition when you look at Battle Rollar firsthand. You might even call him a coward considering his inaction against the raid at the energon storehouse. However, things might change... You cannot imagine such a tiny 'bot will have an opportunity to reformat his body and prove himself by saving his big friend and leader. Maybe you should change your mind and respectfully call him -- Battle Rollar!

This is the bio of Battle Rollar. I thought I would show some of you the things that Battle Rollar can do that no one really mentioned. For instance, he can combine with Optimus Prime's gun to form a Super Blaster and also combine with classics Prime, Movie Prime and Masterpiece Prime to form jet packs. So here are the pictures I have.
