Hasbro is the current owner of Micro Machines, but has licensed out the brand to Wicked Cool Toys (a subsidiary of Jazwares) who makes the current toys. Some images have popped up of Transformers themed Micro Machines and, oddly enough, they are all from the Revenge of the Fallen film, including Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Sideswipe, the Arcee sisters, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Starscream. We can see some faction insignias. It is also the underside which shows us that these are from the latest offerings of the Micro Machine line and not from another line.
We don't know when they will come out, but we will let you know as soon as we get more info. These images are from a Chinese purchasing company Instagram page.

2021 was a big year for Hasbro's mecha toylines. The ever growing Transformers toylines gave us a lot of product (Kingdom, Studio Series, Cyberverse, MP, MPM, Shaterred Glass, Netflix, Buzzworthy Bumblebee, Rescue Bots, Generations Selects, Crossover) and Hasbro finally released the first Power Rangers zords developed under John Warden, the man who got the Transformers brand where it is now. For those curious as to how Hasbro's other transforming/combining robot themed toyline went, we have an update.
For a quick recap of the Power Ranges toyline, when it first got to North American shores, the toys were based on the same toys previously sold in Japan and as time went on, there were more and more differences between the Japanese version of toys (done by Bandai) and the American version (done by Bandai of America). It wasn't like with Transformers where the Takara version would have a slightly different deco, it was far more extensive. For the past 10 years at least, the toys in Japan for the same mecha were bigger and had electronics. To sell at a lower price point, Bandai of America would literally make a new mold, usually smaller and with less parts. There was even one time in Power Rangers Samurai, where the Japanese version of the 5 animal combiner had 3 modes (limb mode, animal mode, and geometric shape mode) and the American version scrapped the shape mode for 4/5 animals, which made it look ridiculous (Japanese on the left, American on the right).
Now when Hasbro bought the brand, they would do the same, remake new molds for their Power Ranger toyline and hired John Warden as the head of the design team to make these new molds. The first toyline fully developed under John Warden was Dino Fury and fans finally got to experience the zords in the later half of 2021.
And it turns out that for the first time in the history of the brand, the American versions are on par with the Japanese version, or even preferred by fans. While still a toyline for kids, Hasbro went for a more collector oriented mindset in what they favoured. It did not have electronics, and the zords are slightly smaller, but they have more articulation than their Japanese counterparts and the main zord has better proportions, a more detailed sculpt and greater show accuracy. Yes, the American version of the toy is more show accurate. It is also more dynamic and works well as a mecha action figure rather than being a brick (which all Power Ranger/Super Sentai mecha were in the past). So congrats to John Warden and his team on that, it is no small feat (Hasbro on the left, Bandai on the right).
Of course, it does help that Hasbro's mecha came out well after the original series aired in Japan, so they could replicate any show detail the original Japanese toys didn't have. Also, Hasbro's combining system for the zords is not as kid friendly as the Japanese version since it requires more force to connect and disconnect. The original Japanese toys had ports similar to lego bricks with similar ease of building but that also means connections on the Hasbro versions are tighter and less likely to undo while posing the figure (something the Japanese toys never had to worry about). So far, 5 zords have been released with more on the way in 2022, and all can combine together in various ways. Below is an example of combining 4 of them together along with using an extra head that comes with the villain action figure.
What does have to do with both is Hasbro upcoming collector oriented Megazord line. This is the stuff of dreams. It's basically Hasbro creating a Masterpiece Megazord line (something similar to Soul of Chogokin) in the west. The price is along those MP level prices of course, being $165 USD for the original Dino Megazord.
This has a lot of fans excited, not just for this release but for what they will do next. Although the fan enthusiasm for the black repaint was not great, since that purchase was behind an NFT wall.

We had images of upcoming Generations Selects toys the other day, which included Nightprowler, a redeco of Cheetor based on a redeco of the original toy that was planned but was never released. Those images obscured the head and while it wouldn't leave much of an enigma for most redecos, the Kingdom cheetor mold has 2 designated heads, a robot head and a mutant head. And the original Nightprowler was only ever shown twice, one with his robot head and another time with his mutant head (image shown below). So, it could have gone either way. Well, now this image below shows that Nightprowler will come with the Cheetor robot head. Is that the head you preffer this toy to have? Or would you have preferred they go for the mutant head?
This toy will be coming out sometime next year but won't be exclusive to any store, although it will be more easily accessible through online channels.

Transformers Kingdom deluxe Pipes and Slammer have been found at Canadian retail. Seibertronian Matrix Holder found these at a Gamestop in Ontario. They were $30 CAD after use of the platinum edge card. And that means that all deluxes have been found in Canada before the literal year end.
These had initially been found in the US half a month ago.

Matrix_Holder is reporting a sighting of Shattered Glass voyager Megatron and Starscream at GameStop in Burlington, Ontario, in Canada! They came out to $40 CAD with use of the platinum edge card.
So this means that this exclusive line from Hasbro Pulse in the USA will be in Canadian GameStop just like for the Kingdom Ravage set! The Shattered Glass deluxes are then likely to appear too.
If the trend continues, Canadians may be able to get most of their Pulse exclusives at GameStop instead of importing them at very high cost. Ordering anything from Pulse costs between 22$US to 30$US plus they charge ALL the Canadian taxes. So being able to get it locally is a boon for Canadians.

Yesterday, we had an image of upcoming Generations Selects Buzzsaw, Nightprowler and Guard. Today, we have more images that seem to be taken from the same spot but all focusing on Buzzsaw. Buzzsaw is a redeco of Waspinator with a new head. It is the same head found on the original toy's packaging and it represents the Robot head of the mold (the head on the Waspinator toy reflects the Mutant head instead). This being a Generations Selects release, it will not be exclusive but will be predominantly found online.

Everyone knows what to expect in general from a reissue of the original Beast Wars Tigatron mold, so what I thought would help more than a review is a heads up to the painting defects that you may get on your copy.
This toy is a reissue of the Takara version rather than the Hasbro version, meaning the white is far brighter than the off white chosen on the original Hasbro release. The face is turquoise rather than silver along with other paint app differences which you can see in the gallery contrasting the two original toys.
This reissue, at least my copy, suffers from paint issues in two areas. The face is not properly painted with the paint not covering the entire face and leaving it unpainted as it gets nearer to the eyes. You can see below how the original does not have that problem. There is also an issue with the legs but this one was also found on the original. There is a gap where they are supposed to come together flush. However, this gap is further highlighted by the seam not being properly painted, leaving a white line going down the legs.
But aside from that, the toy feels fine, similar in quality to the original Beast Wars toys and all the joints are nice and tight.

If you are worried the upcoming Blaster will be hard to find, don't be. We have images here further confirming he will also be part of the first wave of the upcoming Legacy toyline due out in a couple of months. He will be Bulkhead's wavemate. We also have images showing that the Galvatron repack will also be in the first wave of the Legacy leader class, with G2 Optimus Prime. The leader class packaging can be seen in the images below, where we see that it is closed, like with Masterpiece releases and commander class toys. With a toy like Galvatron which has a possibility of missassembly, that's unfortunate. The stock images show him missing several paint apps, such as the ones used to convey battle damage and the extra paint app on the clear plastic orange. These stock photos should not be taken at face value though since we can see from the Buzzworthy Cliffjumper stock photo, also shown below, that those photos do not show us the final deco (Cliffjumper's windows are clear in these photos and we know they aren't). So we'll only know the truth for Galvatron when he's released. Wave 1 of Legacy will have three repacks then with Hot Rod joining the aforementioned two. These images come to us from In Demand Toys.

That didn't take long. We wrote just the other day of upcoming figures in the Generations Selects line and now we have a shot of them. What you will see below is what we are guessing to be Generations Selects Bluestreak, Buzzsaw, Guard and Nightprowler. Of those, only Nightprowler was previously never seen but it does give us further assurance as to the release of the other ones and it's our best look at them yet. Guard is the black Ironhide redeco which is based on his Diaclone release (and subsequently/coincidentally, his Bayverse deco), Buzzsaw is the Waspinator mold with the robot face rather than the mutant head, Bluestreak is the latest Datsun style mold and Nightprowler is based on the Kingdom Cheetor mold.
Most of these are not exclusve to any one retailer but they will be predominantly sold online rather than in stores, as is the case with all Selects releases. If any of these turns out not to be a Selects release, then it can be exclusive. Of course, this could all be fake so take it with a grain of salt just in case.

Yes, that title is indeed a mouthful but that's because there are two stories here. The first being that the Beast Wars reissue Tigatron is out in North America. We had heard that it was already in cargo ships off the North American coast a little while back and it is finally getting to Canadian stores. A few Americans were worried that the ton of reissues taking up a lot of the available space would spell doom for new product, and that's the other news element here. It seems Walmart is gearing up for hosting a lot more Transformers product than in previous years. Along with their Transformers section, still filled with Beast Wars reissues and overflowing to nearby random shelves (as can be seen in the images below), they have an aisle standee set out to accommodate all the latest product. In this case that is this Tigatron as well as Kingdom wave 4 deluxes, wave 2 of the Cyberverse Roll and Combine figures, and the Studio Series wave 14 deluxes. That's the wave where the only new figure is ROTF Sideswipe.

While we did have some code name listings before, we finally get a full breakdown of the movie line with the characters in it. There is no Battletrap toy in the classes we know of but there is another character we had not heard of yet called Crescent. You will see which characters get a deluxe toy, and which ones are part of the more gimmick driven classes. The entire line seems to mirror the current Cyberverse line where most are toys targeting just kids (as we saw for the Bumblebee line) along with a deluxe class which can appeal to anyone, while not being conscious of scale. Anyone wishing for the ROTF line again can forget that, this is basically the Cyberverse line but for the next movie. Take that as you will.
Now the very interesting part of all this is that these toys were due in 4 months from now, same time as Legacy wave 2. So, will this toyline be delayed to be in stores when the movie is out in 2023, or will it still go to shelves as we saw with the Minions Rise of Gru film? This has been a growing trend with movie delays and associated merchandise and you can read more about that here.
Ok, so without further ado, here is the full Transformers Rise of the Beasts line meant to be out with the film:
There will also be one steps called 'Power Step' (5010993960736), and class for smaller figures calle Spark Racers (5010993983407), as well as Spark Chargers class (5010993983117) and Roleplay Basic Masks (5010993961238).
So a pretty big line with 10+ classes filled with Beast characters, "G1" characters and the Bad Guys Scourge and Nightbird. Also, the concept art in the Thumbnails is not indicative of final designs, just based on descriptions already given by the film staff, and they are courtesy of Lazlo Ven.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share you the news that Derrick J. Wyatt passed away earlier this month. While he has a mountain of accomplishments in the world of children's Television, we know him best as the art director and character designer for Transformers Animated. While the designs were very bold, they made for a memorable era in Transformers history, and were at the center of an excellent show and toyline, which fans still rave about to this day. Beyond his contributions to Transformers history, he was also very close to the community, appearing at Transformers events. Many among us have stories to share about meeting him and I hope you share them again now as we remember him. He was 49, and we learnt of his passing from Josh Perez who was contacted by Derrick's family.

Every month or so, Seibertron.com brings you a Top 5 list related to all things Transformers written by me, your fellow editor. These are my opinions (just like movie or game reviews hosted by sites are still just the opinion of one person) so what matters most is what you guys think of the topic or list, and I hope to see your own lists or comments on omissions and ranking. Let's have fun! All previous lists can be found here.
Top 5 Best Thrust Transformers Toys
While he might seem like just another seeker type bot in the Decepticon ranks, Thrust has become a legacy character with prominent roles outside of G1. He got quite the spotlight in Armada and thus eventually in the Legends Universe where that incarnation became part of the Grand Galvatron combiner. He was even in the Bayverse toyline and in Cyberverse (though only in the English dub since he is Red Wing in Japan). Now after over 30 years of Thrusting, let's check out the best toys out there.
I am way more lenient with the G1 seeker mode when it comes to the coneheads due to the added variety of the molding, with the idiosyncratic wings and weapons. Sure, they have double the partsforming of regular seekers but the way I see it, if you're gonna partsform either go big or go home. Thrust was a G1 mainstay, getting constantly reissued in the 80s and I can see why he was popular. He is afterall my favourite G1 seeker. I just love the addition of the VTOL fans on the wings, along with the burgundy colour scheme.
4. Transformers Masterpiece MP-11NT Thrust
The masterpiece toy does a good job at conveying the Thrust we all know and love though that mold makes the bot mode look too busy depending the angle. I do like that the MP conehead retool gives that extra transformation step of rotating the nosecone chest so that it is tapered properly. The retooling does lead to the unfortunate fact that the "real" nosecone kibble does end up between the robot's legs, so I guess it's a give and take with this dated mold. I do have an extra gripe with this release concerning Thrust, you can't switch his face out with an open mouth look to recreate the scene where Prime rams him (probably his most iconic scene). I almost felt so petty about it that I wasn't going to include the MP on this list. But there aren't that many Thrust toys out there.
3. Studio Series 76 Bumblebee Movie Thrust
While the Armada toy is not on this list, I do find it very interesting that he was the conehead to break through the pack and become his own character in that continuity. And it's had a lasting impact, as we can see with this toy that borrows the colour scheme from Thrust's Armada version rather than the G1 counterpart. And he is singled out again in the Bumblebee movie by being the only conehead to join the seekers in taking down the tower at the very beginning of the film. The toy itself is very good, much better than the Blitzwing mold, which looked similar at first. Everything connects in a very solid way in both molds and while the bottom of the Cybertronian jet is a bit more chunky than I would like, it does come together well in giving us a new type of Cybertronian alt mode for the seekers. And I love that extra touch of giving him that triangular design behind his head to distinguish him from the other seekers and refer to his conehead roots. Also, of many toys released today, he really has all I would expect from a voyager class mold, with greater complexity and mass (we tend to only get one or the other sometimes).
Does this mean that a combiner wars limb is better than an MP? Hell yeah it does! The deco here is just absolutely sublime. I really like the headsculpt which is a G1ified version of the Armada face and I think it looks better. He's a wonderful homage in one of the coolest combiner sets we have ever gotten. While I am not a fan of the Armada toy, I did like how Thrust distinguished himself as his own character rather than being just another seeker, so I find it a real treat to have a great looking version of that character.
1. Transformers Generations War for Cybertron Earthrise Thrust
The classics mold was good, and I think the Henkei Thrust (Japanese version of the classics toy) looked especially glorious. And while I do really give props to having the head actually be the nose cone, I admit it did mess with the jet mode, both by being too short and seeing a robot face underneath. This new version gives us the ultimate Thrust toy. We get proper proportions in all modes and makes the classics version feel obsolete (I mean, I personally sold mine). It's a shame he was tough to get for some but that turned out to be the case for most of the coneheads.
