Transformersasia has updated with a new promotion for the upcoming APS-03 Decepticon and Barricade 2-pack. Select stores in Asia are giving away a free mini boombox with purchase of the set. The boombox is not transformable. The promotions start 1-23-2015 while supplies last.

These feature characters that were previously revealed through previous clips and the Tiny Titans line, such as Hammerstrike and Thunderhoof.

Fellow Seibertronian Sabrblade has spotted a series of screenshots from the Chinese airing of upcoming Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series, as captured and shared by Weibo user megatronus. The image below can and should be considered as minor spoilers for people interested in the story of the series, so tread at your own peril!


What we do get to see are the character designs in animation context of the main cast of Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Strongarm and Grimlock, plus Optimus Prime, what looks potentially like Drift and a couple of unknown characters - but no Decepticons yet. Check them all out mirrored below.

Thanks to some detective work by fellow Seibertron.com Sabrblade, we know that France will be airing the new Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series at some point in February 2015. The news, copied and translated below, is from French website Les Accros Aux Séries,and includes a synopsis for the show.

Animated series in non-Anglophone European countries are usually dubbed, rather than subtitled, meaning that the series must be ready for broadcast in English already - what do you think, will we be seeing Bumblebee versus the new Decepticons by the end of January?

Original French wrote:Canal J diffusera la nouvelle série d’animation de la franchise Transformers intitulée Transformers:Robots in Disguise en février 2015, pour le moment aucune date de diffusion n’a été annoncé mais la série sera diffusée en février prochain.

L’histoire débute avec l’écrasement sur Terre d’un vaisseau de prisonniers Décepticons.
Optimus Prime missionne Bumblebee de mener une équipe débutante d’Autobots qui aura pour mission de capturer les prisonniers échappés.
Mais Bumblebee devra tout d’abord apprendre à diriger une équipe !

Canal J will air the new animated series Transformers: Robots in Disguise in February 2015. There is currently no actual date, but the series will air next February.

The story begins with a spaceship of Decepticon prisoners crashing on Earth.
Optimus Prime gives Bumblebee a mission to lead a new team of Autobots to capture the escaped prisoners.
But Bumblebee must first learn how to lead a team!
The new heroes will quickly realise that their mission is not an easy one, and will need to work together as a strong team!

Function: Crack Patrol

Profile:
Windbreaker has never met a joke he didn't like, and of course, fart jokes are his favorite of all. Nicknamed "SBD" (Silent But Deadly), Windbreaker is very popular among his allies. His jokes keep his comrades loose on the battlefield, and entertained when off duty. Windbreaker is a lover of anything that can be called retro, so much so that he upgraded his alt mode to a classic 1970's Trans Am and installed a record player and a mini disco ball. Can often be seen speeding down the highway at night, his disco ball shining through his windows. Tends to overuse some classic words and phrases, especially exotic terms for, and relating to, flatulence; "Barn-Burner," "Booty-bomb," "Fire in the hole," etc.

Abilities:
In robot mode Windbreaker carries an incendiary acid rifle whose explosive blasts can dissolve the strongest materials on contact. In vehicle mode, the noxious fumes given off by his malfunctioning catalytic converter can interfere with other bots targeting systems and incapacitate most organic life forms. Windbreaker is among the fastest of all Dairycons. On flat terrain his speed can even create a sonic boom...of sorts...disorienting his enemies and occasionally his allies.

Weaknesses:
Human allies have been known to faint or feel lightheaded in close proximity to Windbreaker. His robotic brethren often disable their olfactory sensors around him due to his catalytic converter problem, leaving them vulnerable to certain types of chemical attacks that they would otherwise detect. His disco ball occasionally gives away his position during battle. Calling out different code names for his 'lethal weapon' don't always win him friends. "Hey! I got yer Target-Moo-ster right here!"

Takara Tomy Transformers Legends Gel Shark And Jetfire In-Hand Images

Thanks to Seibertronian Shakaji providing us the links, we now have two new Alfes2010 galleries to share with you. Up first is Legends (Generations) Voyager Class Gel Shark (Sky-Byte) who is sporting a metallic and show accurate deco, whereas the Hasbro version deviated but still homaged the original. (You can see the Hasbro version of this figure in our galleries right here.)

Alfes2010 also posted a gallery of Legends Jetfire, which you'll also notice has a few different changes to it to differentiate from the US version. No chrome on the weapons/fastpack, the weapons are painted like the promotional images we were shown almost a year ago, and new paint/different paint apps on the figure's body itself. (You can see our gallery of the US version here.)

We've mirrored a few of the images below, and you can click on each figure's images to be take to their respective page entries over at Alfes2010's blog.

Thanks to TWO submissions, we've been alerted to Combiner Wars Wave 1 Voyagers and Deluxes (!) being in stock and shipped from Amazon themselves. One slight wrinkle, one possibly big wrinkle: Slight is an extra 1-2 days to process on the limb bots themselves, while the big one is that they're now priced the highest on the market right now at $18.99 per limb!

If you want them, you better act fast before Amazon sells out, even at those prices.

Thanks to the Polish retailer Merlin, we get a small in-package image of the Transformers Robots in Disguise 3-step Hyperchange Optimus Prime. The image also reveals what Optimus looks like in his robot mode and gives you a peek as to what his transformation is like. Previously, Hyperchange Optimus Prime was only seen in his vehicle mode.

Combiner Wars Deluxe Class Wave 1 Sighted At US Retail

Longtime fan artist Cheetimus has provided a sighting, but not just any sighting, oh no. He's presented, with photographic proof, the first US retail sighting of Combiner Wars Deluxe Wave 1, at his local Target in Maryland.

He tweeted about it, which you can visit by clicking on the image that we've embedded below:

Wave one consists of three Aerialbots (Firefly, Sky Dive, Alpha Bravo) and one Stunticon (Dragstrip), all of which combine with Voyager Class Optimus Prime to form Ultra Prime, which you can see in our galleries here.

It may seem odd that an East Coast store would see a sighting of these first, but I was the first to find Energon Leader Class Galvatron all those years ago and in PA no less, so it's not unheard of, just rare.
