We have rumours for some 2025 exclusives coming from WreckGar and JTPrime. As stated, these are
RUMOURS and may not all come to pass.
Target will have a 2 pack with Animated Nemesis Prime from the Legacy Animated Optimus Prime mold ( the image in the thumbnail is a
digibash) and Horribull from the Titans Return Skullcruncher mold. The code for that set is G1374.
There will be NFL crossover projects but very little is known at this point.
There will be a selects G2 Dinobot 2 pack of leaders Slag and Snarl.
The upcoming Micronus Prime figure will be inspired by RID 2015, where he was most prominent.
There wont be a new Vector Prime mold to go with the other Primes for Age of the Primes, Legacy Cybetron Vector Prime is it. We should see a poster for the new line soon.

This week on the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast, host Scotty P is joined by Aaarnhide19 and Kuhlio to provide a relaxing soundtrack for your Thanksgiving weekend. Or at least some point around it, maybe even thereafter. Heck, listen to it for your week-after-Thanksgiving-return-to-work, that's fine too. This 90 minutes or so of Transformers talk is waiting here for you whenever you're ready.
Episode #364 “Headless Observations” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- More images have surfaced of Prima Prime in robot mode and even some alternate mode leaks. We deep dive into the body of these leaks- hoping the next leaks will be a-head of our next recording.
- Armada Red Alert opens our discussion to how deep the Unicron Trilogy homages will reach.
- Hasbro will no Longer Finance Films of their Products. We discuss if or when this will impact Transformers returning to the big screen.
- The recurring "40 for 40" segment which takes a look at all 40 years of Transformers takes us the the year 2021 - even if some choices were paid for in 2019.
- Finally, bragging rights finishes up this episode.

We have some sad news to share with the Seibertron community tonight. Morgan Lofting, who voiced Moonracer in the G1 cartoon, has passed away at the age of 84, as reported by the
Hollywood Reporter. Ms. Lofting unexpectedly passed away at her home in California on Wednesday November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), said her agents.
While she was known to the Transformers community as the voice of Moonracer (and possibly Firestar), one of her biggest roles was that as the voice of the Baroness in the GI Joe cartoon.
She leaves behind her family and friends, to whom we give our sincere and heartfelt condolences. Thank you for being a happy part of the childhoods of so many, Ms. Lofting. Rest peacefully.

Cybertron Con 2024 will be happening December 6th to December 9th at the World Expo Creative Show Club building in Shangai. This is where we are expected to get quite a few Transformers reveals. Apparently, there will be exclusives too, though everything is very vague right now. The hint at exclusives are all due to images popping up of new exclusive packaging for SS 86 Commander Optimus Prime, Masterpiece Brawl and Legacy Magmatron. It is unknown how much the figures themselves are different from the previous releases and if they will be available just at the show or not. With Optimus, for instance, we do see different chest windows that are cell shaded, but it's also a set of stickers. So everything is unclear. We'll keep you updated when we get more news on either of these releases.
The images you see below come from
Twitter and
Weibo.

Reading any message board will show that while fans love the Transformers brand and celebrate it, they are often unhappy with how certain aspects are handled. And what usually follows is how it might be better if the brand was handled by someone else. Well, how about Elon Musk? On one of his recent rants, he
showed major displeasure towards Hasbro's apparent disregard for the creators of Dungeons and Dragons in the 40th anniversary making of DnD book. He then followed that by "How much is Hasbro anyway", hinting that he'd buy them out of spite so that he could own Dungeons and Dragons.
Now, were it literally anyone else in the world, a comment like that could and would be completely ignored. BUT Elon Musk is the richest man in the world and has bought massive corporations out of spite (Larry David style). Probably nothing will come of this, but it was interesting that the richest man in the world was at odds with the company that owns our beloved Transformers franchise.
If you want more details,
Dexerto compiled a comprehensive timeline.

After getting images of headless test samples of Transformers Age of the Primes Prima, we finally have a test shot that includes the head. It first showed up on
on Baidu. Unlike the body, which was inspired by the Alligned Continuity design, the head is an homage to a character from the G1 Episode, "Five Faces of Darkness, Part 4". This character was known as "Powerful Robot" and shared Cyclonus' body, but was later retconned to be "G1" Prima.
Now we know that there are at least 2 different heads on the same spru when making the toy, so with this being a test, we don't know if this is the head Prima will have at retail or a second head to be used for a G1 inspired redeco.

@CsbiaoO_ again, here are some new pictures of the AOTP Armada Red Alert test shot, giving us our first look at the figure in robot mode (still minus the head).
He's shown standing next to Legacy United Silverbolt (Voyager) and next to the AOTP Prima test shot, so this also gives us a relative size reference for them. Quite a difference given that they're both listed as Voyager class in the waves leak!
The original images come from Baidu.

@CsbiaoO_, we have even more images of Prima, this time focusing on their alt mode. The view from the side shows us that it is more functional than some fans thought, with rolling wheels. It ends up being more along the lines of what we’d see from a Cybertronian Ironhide or Ratchet alt mode. The front of the truck appears to be mistransformed though with a panel for the bumper not properly lifted. But that’s just a guess.
Now that we have a better look at the altmode, let us know if you think it looks good or not.

Hasbro is going through massive changes. Brian Goldner’s vision was of Hasbro becoming a multimedia company, big on brand content, like Disney. However, the corporate vision has changed since Chris Cocks became the CEO. Since the film division was not working out (several of their bigger investments were not profitable, including Transformers One), it was sold and now we have confirmation from Bloomberg that Hasbro will stop investing in films, Transformers or otherwise. For us fans, that means the future of our beloved franchise lies entirely with Paramount now and what they want to do, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura as their main creative producer to the franchise.
Back to Hasbro’s vision, the article states that it will shift its funds into financing video games. Chris Cocks happens to come from Microsoft and he brought over that tech angle as a way to ensure Hasbro’s future, along with it’s brands. We’ll see if this means a new Transformers game is in the works.
Below is a link to the Bloomberg article along with the relevant quotes:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... m-business
Movies Hasbro co-financed, including the recent Transformers One and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, received critical praise but underperformed at the box office. Last year, the company sold off most of its film and TV business, and longtime rival Mattel Inc. passed the company in annual sales.
While studios such as Sony Group Corp. and Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. will continue to make movies based on the company’s products, Hasbro itself won’t co-finance the films. It’s part of a larger strategy to invest more in video and other games, which are popular with kids and adults, and have been taking a greater share of consumers’ leisure time.
“We want to reach fans where they want to play, and increasingly that is through digital expressions of their favorite brands,” Cocks said.

@CsbiaoO_, we now have images of the colour version of the Prima prototype we previously saw. Now we see that the chest does indeed open up to store a matrix. We also have a shot at the alt mode (kinda), which would be a cybertronian vehicle truck similar to Kup.
We also have an image of a test shot of Armada Red Alert, coming within the same line. Unlike what many fans feared, it is a fully new mold AND it has a minicon port, which can be spotted around the back of the vehicle.
We thank Glyph and Overcracker for letting us know of these images.

Rassoul Edji was one of the lead VFX designers on Rise of the Beasts, and is responsible for, among other things, the head face and battle mask of Optimus Prime.
He took to Twitter to discuss at length about the process and studio notes he received from Paramount, including how the film was meant to be a soft prequel to the 2007 movie. Read on for all the info.
I modelled the head, face, and battle mask for Optimus Prime for #Transformers ROTB.
I also designed his new "centurion" open battle mask look along with it's animation.
The director wanted the face to resemble the face from the 2007 Transformers film as ROTB was a soft-prequel to it but also wanted it to be tweaked to fit the new design and for us to give it some new unique features.
This is where we came up with the new mask design which doesn't get entirely hidden when open. Instead, it gets stored on the side of his cheeks, like a Roman centurions helmet.
The head design is derived from his model from the 2018 Bumblebee film to keep some consistency with that film too as ROTB was also a soft-sequel to Bumblebee. There are new pieces, adjusted proportions, and reworks to detailing in ROTBs version.
The face proportions are modified from the 2007 face to be a lot wider and beefier, matching his new head shape and look.
I redesigned and built the eyes from scratch using our kitbash pieces like I did for all the Maximals and Mirage. The studio decided against going for the holographic eyes look from the 2018 Bumblebee film but rather wanted a more simple look in between the 2007 and the 2018 eyes.
I added a lot of small mechanical details to his battle mask animation which we unfortunately never get to see in the film. For example, I designed a fully functional mechanism which pushes his chin piece back when his mask closes. This was very cool when it was visible, our Animation Director and VFX Supervisors were super excited about it, but unfortunately no shot showed it off in the final film.
It was a lot of fun to help model and design Optimus Prime for this film. I'm happy I got to contribute to such an iconic character.

Ruairidh MacNeill modelled the body for Optimus
Let me clarify that despite being a Lead on this show, I personally did not decide to do any of these changes. All of these decisions came from senior leadership in the VFX studio, Paramount, and the director. We are usually provided with concept art or at least references for what needs to be done and we have to do it that way.
The only bit of this design which I had creative freedom for was the centurion battle mask, which also had a few different versions which I showed to the director, Paramount, and VFX leadership team for approval.
I’m glad the teams work on breathing emotions into his facial expressions paid off, I remember how hard everyone worked on them!
My personal favourite Optimus Prime design is the Dark of the Moon one so I do agree with you. I pushed back on some of the studio notes but at the end of the day we have to do what the studio tells us to do.
It was decided by the leadership team to add a bit of deformation to the faces of the characters to help them emote.
The reason [to show his face under the mask] was because they needed him to emote and it’s really difficult to do that with just the mask. The 2018 Prime is more of a cameo than anything so it works, for this film they wanted him to show emotions through his facial performance.
Despite what the director has said online, we never got the note [to make the face look like Cullen] from the studio or from him. The official note we received from Paramount was "make it look like Optimus from 2007"
Perhaps the 2007 design was inspired by Peter Cullens face and that's what he meant.
[There are] Around 1,350 [pieces on the head alone] if I remember correctly.

Good news for Transformers fans and Hot Wheels fans. The final case assortment for 2024 (the Q case) has made its way to Walmarts in the US. This case includes the Bumblebee release in a gold deco, which fans have appropriately dubbed as Goldbug. It was found at Walmart by Manny. These gold Bumblebees are 1 per case of 72, but they will be repacked and more abundant in the case assortment following this one. It is not a treasure hunt item.
Also, there is a reported error where the wrong VW base is used (the original, rather than using the new base that shows BB’s head) so that’s another collectible to watch out for.
Manny’s post also said that he found Track Fleet Optimus Prime at Walmart, which many fans are still on the lookout for. The original post comes from the Botposting Facebook page:

It took many years of nominations, but Transformers has finally been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame for 2024. Transformers will be joined by My Little Pony and Phase 10, beating out other nominees Apples to Apples, balloons, Choose Your Own Adventure gamebooks, Hess Toy Trucks, Pokémon Trading Card Game, remote-controlled (R/C) vehicles, Sequence, stick horse, and trampoline. Organizers The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York now has the three winners on display as part of their National Toy Hall of Fame exhibit.
The Strong had this to say about Transformers:
About Transformers: Hasbro, Inc. first offered Transformers, a toy line of action figures that change their shapes, in the mid-1980s. Marketed with an elaborate backstory supported by a Marvel comic book series, a cartoon television series, animated movies, electronic games, consumer goods, and even its own cereal, Transformers have remained popular ever since. Their popularity has been fueled by additional movies, television shows, and comic books. For more than 40 years now, the appeal of Transformers is, in part, that the toys do what kids do anyway—change the toy to suit the needs of play.
Says Chris Bensch, chief curator, “Transformers enjoy such popularity, in part, because Hasbro has used tried-and-true marketing methods—the multimedia venues for toy-related shows, books, and movies; related consumer products; and new variations and characters regularly added to the line—to keep the toy in front of American kids. But the toys are also popular because they are so suited to the ways kids play. The toy line feeds kids’ imaginations and fantasy play.”
Congrats to the toys that have brought every one of us at Seibertron together!

One of the main obstacles with the Transformers Earthspark was that it was behind Paramount +, which is not one of the main streaming services a family has. Well, if you have Netflix instead, then we have great news for you. The first 18 episodes of EarthSpark are now on Netflix, and they're all normal-length. Meaning the two-parters that Paramount+ has smooshed together as double-length episodes are the individual versions.
Hopefully this is a much easier way for more people to have access to the show around the world and for younger fans to discover it.
