Cyberworld has arrived in stores in the west with not much fanfare. That wasn't entirely unforseen since the show is very much a short ad for toys that are very clearly meant for younger kids. Then again, the boxes indicate 6 and up, but after handling them and seeing reviews, the toys seem more akin to 5 year olds, like a slight step above Rescue Bots. Nothing wrong with that as a toy but they seemed marketed towards older kids. My review below compares them to Beast Wars basics, which have similar easy transformations, similar price points (when taking inflation into account) and the same target audience, and the result of that comparison isn't pretty, showcasing a major downgrade in 30 years time.
You can derive your own conclusion from the reviews. The larger toys seem to be faring better, with our own Kanrabat writing a nice review for Grimlock and G2 Megatron. You can find it after the various video reviews. Enjoy!
Balmatrix reviews Cyber Changers Snarl, Megatron, Optimus Prime and Skybyte
Long's Toys reviews Cyber Changer Elita-1, Starscream, Chop Shop, Armored Optimus Prime and Wheeljack:
TRDQ reviews the massive Scorponok toy:
Finally here is Kanrabat's written review for Grimlock and the Walmart Exclusive G2 coloured Megatron:
-Kanrabat- wrote:I recently got my first Cyberworld toy with that big Grimlock. It is way, WAY better than I expected. Sure, the bot is flat, but it does look awesome. Plus the dino mode isn't bad either, once the legs are properly transformed. I didn't expect all that FLAT black paint. Usually, it's always glossy or metallic paint. To see flat "powdered" paint on a toy is a refreshing change.
The one feature I like the most about that Grimlock is the pilotable "mech" mode. I tried 3 riders:
First, the authentic "scout" one. He cannot truly sit, but it works.
Then, the Classic deluxe. Nope. It doesn't.
Finally, the G1 Pretender. He cannot sit at all, but the fit is PERFECT. Pretender Grimlock's feet fit snugly on the seat, and his height is tailored to him. Bonus points, his gun can be pegged on almost all ports.
For around the price of a deluxe, this big Grimlock is a ton of fun!
Compared to the original, he have a new head (with the mask gimmick removed) a new chest part, and 2 new accessories. I have no idea if that original Hound came with a gun of some sort.
Armed up, this new Megatron looks fantastic, but I just wish he had more paint. Especially on his feet and under (where the vehicle's missile pods are) and on the vehicle's windows. I understand that it was to keep his G2 colors as close as possible to the original, but it does not excuse the lack of windows paint.
Despite the no-windows of the vehicle, it still look great and it rolls perfectly. The overall colors are also great. Plus, the new accessories give a basket to the vehicle so that he can carries his baby to school!
Overall, for the price of a deluxe, this new Megs is very, very worth it.

Walmart has been improving on distribution this year for their exclusives. In the US, they got a massive collector oriented display for all collectible brands, and that includes Age of the Primes Transformers. And in Canada, well not only did they stock those same Age of the Primes exclusives but also the latest Retro figures, Brawn and Seaspray. Seaspray has been highly coveted since this exclusive release is a fully new mold to complete our minibot collection at this scale. And lucky for us, everyone who got him is raving about it. Below are video reviews along with a written review by fellow Seibertronian Kanrabat. Let us know if you'll be getting yours.
-Kanrabat- wrote:I got the Seaspray. As expected, it is a mini masterpiece. The vehicle looks perfect, and the bot looks perfect. Without any obvious gaps. However, I find the transformation difficult simply because of some fiddle factor and the fact that EVERYTHING IS SO THIGHT, it's hard to tell if something should move or not. Sure, I would have an easier time if I had looked at the instructions, but I love figuring out the transformation of my new Transformers. Also, there's a huge missed opportunity for the gun to be able to store in the huge gap under the vehicle mode. Overall, it is still a worthy buy.
So, how the new Seaspray hold up VS the old versions? It takes the crown for cartoon and G1 accuracy, but my personal champion is still the old 2009 HFTD voyager (with his son, Breacher.) This old voyager is just a genius design all over. Plus, even the vehicle is perfect looking, even from the underside! I would love a Leader priced 2 pack reissue in "cartoon accurate" colors of this voyager Seaspray and Breacher.

Sideways, a descendant of the manipulative Liege Maximo, returns with a design inspired by his original Cybertron appearance and comes armed with his signature weaponry. Excellion channels the legacy of Amalgamous Prime, the ever-adaptive member of the Thirteen, with a streamlined look and bold colors that harken back to his earlier incarnations.
Both characters carry with them a strong connection to the mythos of the Thirteen Primes, the first Transformers whose actions shaped the fate of Cybertron and beyond. These new versions honor that heritage while reimagining the characters for a new generation of fans and collectors.
Our galleries feature each figure in both modes, along with close-up shots of their sculpted details, accessories, and nods to their original designs. You will also find comparison images with earlier releases to show how each character has evolved over the years.

While it had been rumoured that Michael Bay was developing a new Transformers film, we now have confirmation of this rumour from Deadline. This was stated in a recent article of theirs as one of Bay’s current projects after he left production of a Will Smith film over creative differences.
So now that we know the rumour to be true, let’s get back to what was initially reported, since some clarification is in order:
Michael Bay is developing a new Transformers movie that he wants to direct. The film currently has Jordan VanDina (The Binge) attached as a writer. The report notes that it was Bay who sought out a Transformers return instead of the studio luring him back.
It is very important to note that Michael Bay is not confirmed to direct the next Transformers film from Paramount. Instead, Bay is putting together a package to sell to Paramount, for them to greenlight. There is no official confirmation from Paramount that they are going forward with Bay’s project.
It can happen in the future, that’s Bay’s goal, but it’s not greenlit as of now.
Also, fans seemed skittish about who the writer would be but we know it’s Jordan VanDina who wrote « The Binge » and not much else of note.

Are you having trouble putting your bots into CR after a battle?
We're aware of a bug in the game that's preventing the submit button from appearing on the CR page when you try to send bots for repair manually. While we wait for a fix, please see this guide on the forum for a workaround so you can get your bots back in the fight!
We recommend setting your default CR option to Automatic on the Options screen for the time being, so that your bots will be automatically repaired after battle.

After a long wait and lots of Japanese toy show appearances we're finally getting a pre-orders for Adamas Machina AM-T02 Predaking! This version of the Predacons is based on designs by known Transformers fan Akira Amemiya who did many of the designs for Flame Toys' figures and models, further solidifying the connection between Adamas Machina and Flame Toys. As expected from the more traditional arrangement of a large torso bot and four smaller limbs this combiner will be roughly the same size as the other combiners, coming in at roughly the foot tall mark. This take on Predaking with certainly be more complex than the other combiners out there, short of MPG Raiden. For accessories they'll come with non-integrated hands and feet, an arsenal of guns for each bot, and two giant swords for Predaking, but sadly no swords for the individual team members. On the plus side all of the accessories can be attached to the figures (except for the swords, though it does seem Predaking might be able to clip them to his waist) so there's nothing to lose or hide in the box. It is a little strange that hey haven't done full galleries of each figure. One thing is for sure, this maybe the most articulated Combiner released by Takara Tomy.
So here's the painful part. Japanese MSRP is a whopping ¥59,400 or about $400 USD. However, nearly nobody pays the tax inclusive Japanese MSRP, especially people outside Japan. AmiAmi is currently asking about $325, which is certainly better but not great. Amazon Japan has a listing, but at least for Americans it isn't available for order just yet. Release is expected in March so you've got a little time to save up if you plan on picking one up.
So now that we know the price has the excitement worn off or are you planning on still getting your hands on the big guy? Let us know in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

Recently Takara Tomy teased an upcoming Nemesis Prime repaint of Missing Link Convoy only for a Taiwanese store to offer it shortly after. But now Amazon Japan has begun taking pre-orders along with a full gallery for the latest Missing Link repaint. Takara Tomy is selling this as a sort of "what if" for G1 collectors, for a time when Nemesis Prime didn't exist yet (instead favoring Autobot Black Convoy in 2000). Nemesis comes with all the same accessories that C-01 Convoy came with, but with some clever renaming. The Energon Axe is now the Executioner Axe, Roller is now Giza (like his previous transforming swords), the Matrix is now the Heart of Cybertron, the Ion Canon is now a Fusion Canon, and the repair drone is being called the "Proton Scourge", a nod to the alternate name for Nemesis Prime.
Nemesis Prime is set for release at the end of February with Amazon currently listing a price of ¥17,380, though that price will certainly see a drop over the next few weeks. Like with our pair of Arcee releases coming up soon this is the sort of release that will fit in easily with strictly G1 collections. Will you be adding this latest addition to Missing Link to your collection? Let us know in the Seibertron Energon Pub forums!

When speed meets spin-dash, and Energon meets Chaos Emeralds, you get one of the most unexpected mashups in Transformers history.
Released in 2025 at Target stores in the U.S. as part of Hasbro’s Collaborative subline, this unique set brings Sonic and Tails-inspired bots into the Transformers universe with deluxe-class engineering, slick accessories, and plenty of nostalgic crossover appeal.
Blue Booster is modeled after Sonic’s Speed Star racer and transforms from robot to car in 27 steps and includes ring shield plus jewel accessories that nod to his SEGA roots. Wingtail is based on Tails’ signature Tornado biplane and converts in 32 steps to a prop-powered flyer with a detachable engine-thruster weapon. The packaging leans heavily into Sonic’s world with vibrant graphics and eye-catching presentation.
These galleries feature over 200 high-resolution images showing every angle, mode, and transformation step. You’ll also spot a few surprise cameos from across the multiverse, including comparisons with Revenge of the Fallen Ransack, Dead End, Sega Genesis Megatron, and Studio Series 86 Optimus Prime and Blurr.
Whether you're a fan of classic platformers or just love seeing wild crossovers brought to life, this pack delivers more than meets the chili dog. Spin up. Roll out.

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is back to discuss the latest news out of San Diego Comic Con and PulseCon 2025 panels. Your host ScottyP is joined by Counterpunch, Kuhlio, and Megatronus to drink from the SDCC firehose, and decide what collaborations are hot (wheels) and what's not MOTU be.
Episode #380 “SDCC 2025” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
We begin - and spend the bulk of our time - discussing the Age of the Primes and Studio Series reveals, including combiner team members, Primes, TF:One, and Bayverse. But one reveal in particular is SURE to please:
Beyond Titan Age of Extinction Grimlock, the biggest surprise came in the smallest package: a mini-con Star Saber team packaged in with an Armada Nemesis Prime. He seems a bit blue.
We didn't expect to love the freshly announce Hot Wheels collaboration, and the potential for new ideas this crossover represents. We did, however, expect the MOTU costume party to fall flat.
An honorable mention for the G1 Retro Brawn, and especially the new mold of Seaspray.
We wrap up the episode as we always do, with a robust round of Bragging Rights.

We've known for a while now that 2026 would see the main Age of the Primes line get two Commanders in exchange for Studio Series getting the Titan for the year (which we now know is Age of Extinction Grimlock). We new one of the Commanders would be Onslaught to finish out the Combaticons, but the second Commander remained a mystery. Thanks Jtprime17 over on TFW2005 we now know the second Commander will be Armada Jetfire! He'll be a perfect companion piece for the previous Commander Armada Optimus Prime. Time will tell just how well he fits the price point.

Below are the preorder links from Amazon and Pulse for the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker and Twin Mill Transformer Figures. The price is 14% higher in the US than in Canada, where they are sold at the standard deluxe MSRP, and it is unsure if it’s because of tariffs, which have also seen price increases for Lego sets sold to US customers, or if the Amazon.ca price is a fortunate mistake.

They’re tiny. They’re ridiculous. They’re hiding in your backpack, your fridge, your pencil case... and now they’re invading Seibertron.com!
We’re excited to announce the full gallery rollout for Transformers BotBots Series 2, featuring over 60 individual characters from Hasbro’s most bizarre and imaginative sub-line. Whether you're a hardcore collector, a curious fan, or just love seeing Transformers disguised as pizza, plungers, or perfume bottles, there’s something in here to make you laugh, cringe, and maybe even collect.
Series 2 of the BotBots line debuted in 2019, continuing the quirky chaos introduced in Series 1. These 1-inch PVC-plastic robots transform in just a few steps from household or store-themed items into tiny mischief-makers. Each character belongs to a team—like the Greaser Gang, Sugar Shocks, Spoiled Rottens, or Toilet Troop—loosely based on fictional departments of a mall or store. And yes, many of these bots look like things you'd find on a shelf at Walgreens or lurking in your kitchen junk drawer.
BotBots were sold in blind-bag singles, themed 5-packs and 8-packs, and special editions like the Surprise Unboxing sets. Hasbro intentionally included character repeats across multiple packages, encouraging trades and swaps among kids (or relentless completionism among adult collectors). And with Series 2’s new teams like the Swag Stylers and Techie Team joining returning favorites, there’s no shortage of oddball personalities to meet.
Every BotBot in Series 2 has now been fully photographed and added to the Seibertron.com Toy Galleries—complete with robot and alt mode shots, detailed poses, and high-quality images that show off their unique charm. From King Candyhooves to TP Itch, they’re all here.
Keep checking back as we continue expanding the BotBots gallery archive and documenting this wonderfully weird chapter in Transformers toy history.

Great news for Transformers Armada fans, Hasbro has revealed Nemesis Prime at SDCC 2025. And he comes with the Star Saber, which is made up of 3 minicons like the original. This will be a Pulsecon exclusive and sell for $75 USD. You can check out the product description and a slew of images which include renders, the prototype shown at SDCC and official stock images which should resemble the final product.
One of the sought-after action figures for Transformers fans will be a new Nemesis Prime, straight from the Transformers Armada series. This $75 Voyager-class figure comes packaged with his Mini-Con partners: Runway, Jetstorm, and Sonar.
Similarly to his previous incarnations, Nemesis Prime resembles Autobot leader Optimus Prime. Hellbent on destroying all Transformers, he appeared in several episodes of the Armada series and had the ability to regenerate from even lethal amounts of damage. This new action figure of Nemesis Prime can convert between robot and truck mode in around 21 steps, and his Mini-Cons can transform into an airline, jet airliner, and space shuttle modes. When combined, the Mini-Cons can also transform into a powerful saber weapon.
For accessories, Nemesis Prime comes equipped with two blasters and a cannon that can also be combined into a powerful weapon, and he has a Matrix of Leadership accessory that can fit inside of his chest compartment.

Hot off the heels of Bone Shaker yesterday: Twin Mill has raced ahead of the SDCC 2025 reveals for the Hot Wheels x Transformers Crossover figures.
Twin Mill was shown at Toy Fair 2025, however this is first official photography that has been shown, including an in package shot, which makes this figure look to be the size of a standard Hot-Wheel based on the peg and packaging layout.
Also rather than carrying a big stick, these photos seem to confirm that Twin Mill will include blast effects (your mileage may vary).
Twin Mill looks to be a crazy Hot Wheels concept car with dual engine intakes that double as wrist cannons.
