While NY Times is citing anonymous sources that talks are in "advance stages" and the deal would include a combination of stocks and cash. This deal with Hasbro would forge a family entertainment powerhouse to be called DreamWorks-Hasbro. With Hasbro already owning 40% of Discovery Family, they are making it clear that they want to be the leader of family entertainment, using this media to promote their games and toys including Transformers.
