Since these are remolds and redecos, we know you'll want to see the originals these figures are based off of, and you can see the origin molds in all their glory in our galleries, located here for Jetfire (Thundercracker) and Optimus (Huffer).
We've mirrored the images below:

I think I like the Gen Prime mold better as Huffer than Prime.

Combiner Wars is looking solid. Can't wait for Superion and hoping we get a stronger Bruticus

As someone who does not read the comics, please tell me; is this a comic accurate depiction of the character? I just don't think of him as towering over his fellow cons.
What about the other seekers? I really do not want to drop the cash on a full set of leader class seekers. (because seeker molds always get repainted)

In terms of design, it's pretty close to the current IDW design, minus the air scoop shoulders:

Size-wise, the Seekers aren't really bigger than the average (deluxe) size. You might argue a voyager, but not a Leader.
Still, it's kind of cool to have Seekers of appropriate size for a jet.

Huffer is an unfortunate victim of mold overuse and it's just the wrong mold. Alt mode isn't bad but altogether it's still a bit too optimus. could do without the roof scoop/shoulderpads altogether, and maybe retool the legs but you're pretty much stuck with that opening/closing chest that just doesn't cut the gravy.

but that thundercrackes is very good, a lot of real re mold going on there

Well, the Aerialbots are a cheaper alternative to TFC's version, saving HUNDREDS of dollars, but on the flipside, we have to have a 3rd party finish the set for us now... (I'm sure Hasbro will come along with a G1 accurate set to milk the molds dry.)
The Aerialbots do look a bit...off. Still, they're quite serviceable.
I have FansProject's Menasor and nothing tops it for me, so Hasbro's is out. (Ugh.)
Optimus still looks bad. BAD. Zero interest in him and I see now that my money spent on ToyWorld's Orion was the right choice. (Probably my favorite Optimus mold, ever.)
I'm surprised by the packaging and it's darker tone. I'm impressed that Hasbro went that route and that they even show Autobots and Decepticons forming a combiner, that's pretty cool.
That said, Combiner Wars is a mixed bag for me and probably not one I'll be opening much.
Now, onto Thundercracker... I like the shoulder and chest remold, I really do, but to make a redeco/repaint out of a Leader Class mold? Wow. I can't imagine it's going to sell well, at least not to kids, so I kinda hope they made it in limited numbers.
2015 isn't a complete mess, though.... Robots In Disguise is coming and it's showing promise.

durroth wrote:thundercracker... wow, that is a *heavy* remold. Really he'd be better as a voyager, and I would have loved to have this version of the seekers in voyager clas, but I love thundercracker so I might end up with this figure. I'm not sure however that I would buy three of this remold however, because 50$ each is steep candy for the seeker trio, so it'll be awkward if that's in their planning. I'd ditch the leg guns though, and maybe mold 5mm ports onto the upper arms.

I have two versions of that mold and the chest bit doesn't work right on either of them. FYI to those wondering, it was said at BotCon that Prime/Motormaster have a front/back thing going on so you're right there.

Thunder cracker works well, tho he is perhaps one of the few iterations of a a size appropriate to his jet form, i think I'll be sticking with my deluxe seekers. Jet fire was at least meant to tower over the others. The retool works very well though and took me a few seconds to realise it was a jetfire retool when I saw the thumbnail. obviously the cost is a big issue cos...
I know I'll be spending a lot of money on those frickin combiners. Even prime looks tempting there,

3rd party to the rescue!
Posted by megatronus on October 9th, 2014 @ 4:04am CDT
(1) Generations Leaders are closer to Universe Ultra in size (i.e. shorter than the ROTF Leaders)
(2) We are also getting a Generations Leader Megatron, so TC should fit in with Megatron nicely
That's not to say I'm super happy with the fact that TC is Leader-sized (I would have rather seen a healthy voyager that could more directly compete with iGear's Raptor Squadron), but I am saying that the size is acceptable, IMHO.

Well yea, except one of the voyagers is Optimus... so 3 combiners, plus Optimus Super Mode?

I wonder who the 4th Voyager will be.

And Huffer... I'm...not sure how I feel. It looks good, but it also looks like somebody put Huffer's had on Optimus's body.

Would have preferred Skywarp but oh well.
Huffer looks pretty cool, I might very well get him.
