It's that time of year again Seibertronians - time for sale after sale, tempting you into buying Transformers product you may or may not have wanted otherwise. While many of our site sponsors will be sending in their own newsletters with various deals over the coming week, we wanted to try and collect as many currently advertised deals for Transformers products as possible as we approach the Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday gauntlet.
You'll find each listed deal listed in the following format:
- Title of item
- Related image (not necessarily of item in question)

Yup. It was $75 a month ago. Then Target had a 20% off sale while jacking it up to $82.50. I think they have it at 20% off again, but Walmart Canada still has it beat badly.

Izzat a joke? Jack up the price while offering a discount? It's misleading the customer at to thinking they are buying a discounted item when in fact ther prices are more or less unchanged!

That... basically summarizes (in a broad sense) American sales tactics at the moment, no company - or store - really wants to make less money on their product, so coupons are disappearing, big brands get excluded from good deals (Lego, etc.), and if there is a sale, you can be sure that prices were probably raised at some point recently to offset the sale. And 'sales' in general have disappeared, I remember going out to tru every time they had a bogo 50% on tf's, they were even 'fairly' priced for tru; that just doesn't happen (to my knowledge) anymore - anywhere

Looks like they pulled them. They were out of stock when I did the round-up post, but I put the link there in case they came back in stock. Looks like they instead proceeded on their way towards oblivion :/welcometothedarksyde wrote:Suhweet, I picked up those seekers but I can't find the dinobots on ToysRus' website!
Edit: forgot to post what I meant to!
Toy Arena put their Black Friday sale up. Some good stuff in here. Link to the entire listing.
Highlights include $40 MP G2 Bees, $70 Cloud Roadbusters, $50 Generations Takara Go-Shooters, and $35 Iron Factory Blaster/Steeljaw/Ramhorn sets (I highly recommend this one). I have no idea what countries they ship to overall, but for US residents there's free shipping at $150.

I've been waiting for a deal on this but actually think I'm going to pass and wait for the possible Titan class figure, assuming it wins the fan poll. Decisions!
UPDATE: Less than 2 hours to go, and this deal is only 35% claimed. It does not appear that this deal will sell out. Other toys (like Magformers) sell out in minutes. I wonder if this would still be the case if Trypticon wasn't an option in the fan poll.

I think it's only available from Amazon through other sellers. Maybe Amazon burned through their stock when they dropped the price to $109? Hopefully you can find it at a good price.
On a separate note, TRU has MP Bluestreak at $49.99. Is that a "steal of a deal?"

I'm hoping that's the case and he will come back and be lower in price again. I so want him.
And I think it was mentioned that Bluestreak was indeed a steal, so I'd jump if you want him

I dont get why one would have to pass or not depending on the result. These two toys are for totally different collections. Any modern fan who is used to articulation would probably not see the appeal to G1 Trypticon and any fan of the G1 toys looking for a G1 trypticon in their collection wouldnt be satisfied by the new titan. What I am trying to say is that these are two different toys for two different collections and I dont see why one would replace the other or getting one is dependent on another existing or not. Each will intereact with the toys of their own generations anyway. At least thats how I see it.
For me, the reason I am not too excited about Titan Trypticon is because his transformation wont be that interesting or involved. It's a very basic Transformer, just as Metroplex was. That of course can have tremendous appeal to some.

I hear what you're saying, which I agree with from a collector's point of view. But I consider myself more of a causal fan. My attachment is solely to the G1 cartoon that I grew up watching. I haven't seen 1 episode of any other Transformers cartoon and don't read the comics. As a casual fan, I'm really only interested in having 1 toy per character, and preferably an updated toy vs an 80s reissue. As long as it resembles the G1 character, I'm happy. I personally don't care as much about sophistication of the transformation.
So in the case of trypticon, I would hate to spend $120 + tax on a reissue and then learn that an updated version that I would find more fun to play with is coming out relatively soon. If i knew that a titan version would never come out, I'd be perfectly happy with the reissue.

Well in that case, you will never regret not getting this toy. Because even if they dont make trypticon next year they will the next. We now know that it is in their heads and at least past the planning stage (and probably design as well, since they have a 2 year productions schedule). So yeah, I would suggest you dont get the G1 toy, he's really more for nostalgia or collectors curious to experience older toys. Skylynx though is a rare exception where the original would be better than the upcoming update if the goal is for it to resemble G1 as much as possible (he was also re-released).

If we were a year and a half ago, I would have jumped on this, but with todays exchange...
