Saw that and thought that they might have retooled that mold for the Darth Vader/Death Star figure. Looks very similar.

Actually, yes. I'm just really twitchy because I've decided to wait until it comes out at Costco in Canada.

Yup, only showing secondary sellers now.
Considering it's still not the originally announced release date I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back in stock again.

For those still trying for one just keep a short cut link to the Amazon Unicron figure, and check it every once and a while. That is what I did, and caught it in time to grab one.
I am almost sure Amazon will post some more soon. They are selling so good, they gotta figure it's a money maker.

Dood... srsly, DOOD... that is so right on. It would need an overhaul, but completely doable. Hold on, let me get iGear on the phone...
"Hey, iGear, you know that whole Masterpiece Seeker thing you got goin on... wait till you hear about this money grab opportunity. All you need is a Darth Vader Death Star Crossover... yeah the one that was on clearance..."

BTW that BWneo Unicron would double as Cybertron itself, would it not?

I think you misunderstood what I said. I meant it looked like Hasbro might have ALREADY retooled it to make that Darth Vader/Death Star figure. To me they look very similar. #SarcasmFail...

Still amazed at how cheap he was to import.

Must be one of those days... your clarification is beyond my current comprehension. Info simulated. Yet, what's stopping them from de-tooling back to proto glory? It's okay though. If 'Neo 'Cron ever shows up for sale, I'll be the first in line - paypal account at the ready.

Why does this thing only go in-stock when i'm at work?!
Seriously, are they releasing it like this on purpose? Are they only getting like 25 at a time? It looks like it sold out in 3 hours

I got my 90$(shipping included) original Armada M.I.B Unicron last month and I'm perfecty happy with it. No need to shell out the big bucks for a random repaint.
By the way, the 2010 Primus is nicer looking than the original and was ironically just around 20$ more for a brand new one.

Yeah. But it's still a bit of an annoyance. I'll wait patiently, but they really should be handling this better.Counterpunch wrote:It'll be back.
As for all the people talking about Beast Wars Neo Unicron, I do see some hints of it in both Primus and Death Star Vader. Though, I dunno why so many would want this Unicron over the one we got. There are two things keeping me from liking it better than the Armada Unicron mold.
One is its size. This prototype was said to be as tall as Optimal Optimus, which would make it about half the size of the Armada Unicron mold. It'd be only like a tall Ultra or a short Leader by today's size class standards. Disregarding the Cybertron Unicron toy, that's pretty short for the planet-based Chaos Bringer.
Two is its enormous load of planet kibble. While the Primus figure does have a similar amount of kibble as this Unicron does, the Primus mold arranges it so that very little is actually "hanging" off of his body and is instead sticking out from it like believable armor. Whereas the kibble on this Unicron is very much hanging onto his back and legs like some giant backpack shell clustermuck. There's little organization to it aside from "Put it all on his back and leave it there", leaving it look very uncreative and somewhat half-done. And from what I'm told, he doesn't even look like that in the Beast Wars Neo cartoon.

EDIT: those are the ones that are being scalped to be resold. Kinda sad that Amazon is offering to re sell their own product at a scalped price.
