How does crow taste to all yo naysayers!?!
I haven't read a single negative review since this film opened.
As I've kept an open mind throughout all this I feel justified in saying "HA"
However I do wish more Decepticons had bigger rolls, StarScream seemed kinda null(no pun intended), and Devisatator(it's how he anounced himself) and BoneCrusher where nothing but fodder.

It helps to not only read reviews that agree with you. ; )
Every review I've read, even the positive ones, have reflected my exact feelings on the movie. The special effects were cool, but the lack of a good story really killed its potential.
I kept an open mind about all the changes, but I was still disappointed at the lack of proper character development and all the plot holes. It was rather poorly written. Most of the Decepticons were one-dimensional, even Starscream. Megatron was almost completely out of character. Three of the five Autobots had very poorly defined characters that only featured one personality trait, and they all had nearly the exact same voice, even Bumblebee. It was hard to tell who was talking at some points.
The robot designs I can live with. The Michael Bay stamp I can live with. However, it would have been better if they took more time to flesh out the story and the characters like the first two Spider-Man movies or even the first two X-Men. Hopefully the sequel will have better writers and really do the property justice.

I can see alot of your point. I do think it was a good one shot story though. I do wish the Decepticons were elaborated on more. It just seemed like there was Frenzy, then at the end everyone else just showed up. That was a let down to me, but TFs have(sadly) always been Autobot/human heavy, so I wasn't to suprized about that. IronHide didn't sit to well with me though and seemed more Grimlock-ish.
I would have loved to seen more Cybertron, but again, that was to be expected as well.
My only real quam with the effects was with all the fine detail in the designs and the speed in wich they moved caused to many things to blur rather than stand out.
Still overall though, great movie!

rotten tomatoes is a communications tool used the world over where people can come together to bitch about movies and share pornography with one another, this is a site populated by militant movie buffs, sad pathetic little bastards living in their parents basement, downloading scripts and what they think is inside information about movies and actors they claim to despise yet they cant stop discussing.
