It's OK, but it's really going to depend on the price. My WFC CJ head currently on my Classics was only 9 bucks, and came with a hand gun and a sweet model car

hopefully will get price and availability soon

Nice !!! Too bad I missed out on Cliffjumper. Maybe Henkei will reissue him again without the annoying graphics like the new United Bumblebee. But then theyll probally create a new head mold and this guy will be screwed. Anybody know a company selling Cliffjumper at a reasonable price ???
reasonable price no cmdstore.com selling theres for 70. theres one on amazon going for 42. its nice set that head makes him sauraish looking very screen accuate.

It is strange, the lineart pic of the head on the back of the box looks absolutely fine, bigger eyes and just a neat line for his mouth.
I guess if it is cheap enough I may be willing to take that job on, but otherwise I may just get a Generations Cliffjumper and paint the head to match.

Though, FP takes the cake here because their set modified the robot and vehicle mode to differentiate him from being a mere redeco of Bumblebee.
It's a shame this company didn't do the same. It didn't have to be a replication of FP's work, but along those lines would've been nice.

As for the grey guns, it amazes me that people are considering full-on makeovers of the head sculpt, yet no one is willing to say that they can just paint the dang guns black if they don't like the grey.

Aside from that minor nitpick which I had to make on account of I'm a Taurus, all I have to say about this set is Sign Me Up!

You do know a Ram or Goat's head is a satanic symbol, right?

Since I don't know the tone or intent behind this, I'm refraining from being over reactionary and going into a**-hole mode. I was only trying to have a bit of fun when I made my Zodiac reference. Something to offset the negative stuff I've been spewing about DotM lately and maybe restore a little Karmic balance. I could care less about the Satanic iconography, of which I am not at all ignorant. I prefer to think that the horn reference is more in line with his recent TF:Prime incarnation but hey, it's a relatively free planet. If someone wants to throw old CJ in with the the Satanist's, that options there. (not saying that you are in that camp JelZe, I'm just trying to not step on anyones toes and probably failing miserably).

ALL.
Satanic imagery this and that and blah blah blah, lolwhut?
No. Buy it, don't buy it, but don't make it out to be something it's not.
It's going to be an overpriced accessory set, that's all.

Haha, I dont think anyones making any big deal at all about it, they're just saying whatever.
Its just the creator's styling for his box art, I think its cool (and it is sorta satanic with the pentagram and such), but then again i'm a metalhead. It really has nothing to do with the world of transformers other than maybe the horns.. even then, CJ is way too much of a good guy to have any connection to satan, or my TF version of satan, which is Unicron.

Your arguments are dead on. I would submit that it's more about availability and price than anything else. We must also remember that the FansProject 300 limited run was a garage kit made out of hardened resin opposed to plastic (not to mention one must superglue the alt mode kit parts to the figure). I would prefer those kind of parts like the spoiler and front accent kit to be snap on - allowing for resale/trade of the original figure. I think Renderform's Venksta might be on to this - not to mention a few extras that might follow the engineering gimmicks of other transforming toy add-on manufacturers. I buy transforming 3rd party add-ons at a premium price because they are inspired by the facet of the transforming gimmick. Artwork on packaging and insert trays are nice, but if it tacks on an extra 5 bucks and possibly more on the shipping - I'd prefer cheaper packaging and lower shipping rates. This Devil Horns Kit is great for those wanting a minor upgrade to the Cliffjumper character in the classics aesthetic. I would prefer at least some kind of transformation in the weapons, if I'm dropping more than $20 on a few pieces of plastic. This is what makes/made FansProject's Sidearm so successful - price, aesthetic, and gimmick.

FPs set for $300 or so vs. this set for about $20? Count me as one that would choose the latter. All things being equal? Sure, gimme the FP set...but that's not really an option at this point.

I agree. Though some of us should go together, group buy the FP set and repro it for cheap prices. We'd make our investment back, and fast.

It's been repro'd to ill effect. It looks like carved Velveeta. Honestly, after doing some info searches and reading reviews of the FansProject kit, I was disappointed but relieved by what I read. Apparently, the paint can be pretty fragile. This new one looks like molded plastic rather than paint. Sure, I'd like some of the other upgrade bits from the FP set too but this one will certainly work for me at this cost. I really only require the new head, so this works. The weapons are a nice bonus despite my wish that they were black.

This kit is a more than serviceable upgrade to Cliffjumper. It looks to be of quite good quality, and does it's job of differentiating CJ from BB. And I would not at all be hesitant to hit those guns with a quick coat of a good quality black spray paint. This appears to be a great alternative for those without the $300 for the FP kit, and no shame in having this as opposed to the FP one.

I would think that krylon fusion would work well. The FP kit was originally $30 through TFclub. The problem was that most people on these forums can't read the site so it was difficult to order. The price seemed to go up by $10 a week for a while. By the time I figured out how to get one it was up to $90. It continued to go up for another couple weeks and then sold out.
