Unfortunately, the Alternity line is suffering more set backs. Just like Alternity Convoy, Megatron has been delayed. According to Rakuten and e-Hobby, the release date has been pushed back to May.

I hope that thing stuck to the back of Megatron's head is removable

I'm wondering if Takara got too ambitious with this toy line... it seems like it's plagued by delays. Perhaps trying to incorporate die casting and binaltech-level transformation and articulation in that small of a size is a bit more than the engineering can handle.

Agreed on both counts. Actually, I think a suitable mix of predominantly black with silver and purple in the right places for accent would have made an awsome alternate color scheme from the all silver model. Both of the versions pictured make for a bad-ass Samurai look but the all blue look would definitely have gone better with Prime. (Predominatly red for Prime, with blue and silver accents would be even better if they could do it without his alt. mode looking horrid, but I'm something of a traditionalist)

The color scheme and the armor layout would be enough for me. But add dual swords, flip out daggers, die-cast parts and a totally rad alt. mode. I MUST OWN
With the exception of the woody, I agree completely.

What do you mean? How small are these things?

You want him repainted into Skywarp?

Similar to what happened in Binaltech.

No, I definitely dont want a Samaruai Skywarp made out of this cool figure. Just a few accentend spots to break up the solid black motif.
Comparatively, Skywarp wouldn't have "accents", he'd have big "racing stripes". The only thing that would steer me away from an all purple choice, as was also suggested, is that that scheme is more associated with Shockwave and I think would detract from the Samaruai/Ninja feel that this figure has. "Soften" the bad-ass edge that this figure seems to come across as having.
Of course, it's Megatron! He can take whatever color scheme he wants and who is going to say jack about it, right?

These will be smaller than Alternators/Binaltech but bigger than a deluxe size...

Actually, I think I've seen them next to Movie-Bumblebee (deluxe concept Camero), and they looked about the same size... not sure where I saw that picture, though, so I can't back up that statement.
--EDIT--
Here's a picture on tf2005, that was linked on a prior news article. It shows Alternity Convoy next to some other Convoys... he seems to stand right up to the bottom of Classics/Henkei Convoy's chest windows.

I want this with Prowls head, he is the fairlady Z transformer afterall.
both G1 police white or animated ninja black would be fine.
A car version of Megatron with swords and no guns doesn't feel right to me.
