One area Transformers has not enjoyed much success in is video games. Over the years there have been more games then you may have thought. None of which were that good up until the release of the Transformers Armada game for the PS2.

They forgot about the Beast Wars II fighting game for the Game Boy Color in Japan. I've never played it, and it's probably not very good, but there are so few Transformer games in exsistence that it's a miracle it came out at all.
Seeing that article makes me hope that there will be more Transformer games in the future, since the movie's probably gonna be a big success. After all, there's so few games, and most of them aren't very good.

i dont understand why they cant make a good TF game. its just like no1 can make a good DC Comic game. JLA was HORRIBLE......Marvel comic games have always been decent or amazing with the exception of Spidey 3 the movie game, which was a huge dissapointment.

Hehe, I used to have the Ocean Transformers game for the ZX Spectrum. That brings back some memories! As it says in the article if you drove off the edge of the roadway you died, if you rammed one too many Decepticons you died (they fired coloured lines at you ;-P, too many of which killed you as well
), you could fly in robot mode (!) but if you hit anything you died. But it was great fun, for a 6-year-old at the time! It was my favourite game on the Spectrum, followed by Frogger. It's what caused my Spectrum to give up the ghost eventually; I was playing Transformers for 4 hours solid and the motherboard burnt out!

It's a mystery...
I haven't played the new movie game so I can't comment on it. I thought Armada and Tatakai were fun games but far from an "ultimate" G1 game.

I now they sucked, but I'd love to find a compilation release of TF games from past systems.
