You know on this show outside of the first episode he's just been a cab. He's blocked up so I can't tell if he comes with any type of atachments, but they realy should give him some.
It's not like there's no room to fit more stuff in there!?!
Oh, and for the $20 price mark on what looks to be a $10 sized figure, PASS on pricipal alone!

However, the other Earth Prime we saw looked much better.
Posted by Nekoman on February 2nd, 2008 @ 12:07pm CST
Also guys, he might be much bigger in robot mode like classics Prime (who also had lots of room in his box).
Posted by Liege Evilmus on February 2nd, 2008 @ 12:13pm CST
A little faction symbol like the 3 inch titanium guys have, something like that would make nice filler, and you know they have tons of them boxed up somewhere.
Posted by Nekoman on February 2nd, 2008 @ 12:18pm CST
Maybe I didn’t mind classics prime being small because I only paid ten for him.

Or a weapon. I don't know, I'm just saying. It'd be much more useful than a crappy faction symbol.
They could just put the axe in its open position in the box. I'm sure that would look cool.

I'm excited to get him.
Posted by Jazzz on February 2nd, 2008 @ 12:47pm CST
he sorta has it. except it's all squeezed up.
I like the deluxe Cybertron mode the most now.
The deluxe Earth mode isn't that great either, so i'll still get this guy. But he's really not show accurate compared to figures like Prowl that have lots of different clear plastic(red, blue, yellow, green while prime has... blue), a good alt mode(cab over truck doesn't need to have a cab that much over).

Yeah, yeah, you did, but you didn’t title your thread Auction for TFA voyager Prime, you titled it “Check this auction I found”, someone wouldn’t know if that’s a funny KO or voyager prime unless they take time to actually look at every thread they haven’t already read, which would be a pain.
Next time you find something you should PM a news mod or use the submit news function.

Couldn't have put it better (or more politely) myself.

From this, we learn that there will be THREE Optimus Prime toys and THREE Megatron toys.
Optimus Prime will consist of: A DELUXE Cybertron mode, a DELUXE Earth mode, and finally, a VOYAGER Earth mode with a small trailer. He is small in size, as was Classics Prime, but may be tall in robot mode.
Megatron will consist of: A DELUXE, gray, Cybertronian mode, a VOYAGER, pearl white, Cybertronian mode, and a, most likely Voyager, Earth mode, which should be an Osprey I believe.
Thus, the previous news of the Voyger Prime was indeed the scaled down Deluxe version with no trailer.

JDD01 wrote:Maybe the one they shown on CNN was either a prototype or the third leader-class figure
as of yet there is NO evidence whatsoever of a leader class prime circulating the public domain. the cnn report visuals made it very difficult to determine relative sizes of the toys, the earth megs looks small but when the reporter puts his hand down towards it the size distortions become apparent. evidence suggests the 3 leader figures are earth megs, bulkhead (and headmaster??) and ultra magnus.

Why is he facing that way?
I wish they gave him light blue and red lights.
And blacker windows.
hasbro used so much plastic for Prowl, but they use so little for Prime?
but he's not my favorite character in the show, so I'm okay.
are you saying that prowl has more plastic than voyager prime? i can guarantee that is NOT true.

Mr.Bond007 wrote:Rather small, there's an awful lot of empty box in there
theres probably a reason for that. Habsbro is using a standard size voyager box that can accommodate the largest voyager toy in alt mode which is so far probably starscream (he may have the longest single dimension) prime in his alt mode is quite compact, i'll be suprised if the robot mode isnt around 7.5-8.5 iches tall.

you are most certainly talking nonsense, when voyager prime is released compare his size to that of the $10 toys and you can bet he is as proportionately massive as any $20 is to any $10 that weve seen since BW>cybertron/movie.

I couldn't agree more, weapons are always fun and the more the merrier!
I was just saying for the sake of argument though in the case of say Classics Prime, I understand they want to keep the figure with weapons self contained, so I mention random filler.
Still, load these guys up with gear, I can't see to many complaining about that!

Sorry if I came off sounding like a jerk, mate. That's not what I intended to do!
I'm not really sure what you're saying about Classics Prime, seeing as how his shotgun was seperate from the cab to fill space.
Just being a smartass! I understand what you mean.

sorry I didn't make that clear.
Prowl has got black, grey, clear, clear red, clear blue, clear yellow, clear green, and kinda tan color.
While this Prime seems to consist of:
red, black, blue, grey, clear blue.
lazyass hasbro.

I know what you mean. Hasbro looks like they were kinda lazy on this figure.
No big firetruck mode.
His alt mode looks just a little bigger than Bumblebee.
Weirdass axe weapon when the deluxe version's was pretty cool.
Theres also a gun but Prowl is a deluxe and he has ninja stars that go into his wheels AND a traffic light nunchuk that has 4 plastic types and string. All that engineering used in a deluxe's weapons while Prime has... a fugly axe and a little cannon.
DX
good thing he's not my favorite character.
P.S. Nice new sig. Liege!

ah, ok. im not sure i understand your point though. The number of colours on a toy has nothing to do with its size class, it depends upon the individual design specification, more is not necessarily better.

I tried though, which is mor ethan I can say for Hasbro here.
I mean realy, why not just position this heap so the die-cut doesn't cover the bot?

well I know no more than anybody but a combination of bits and pieces of evidence in no way suggest that voayger prime is the same size as a delux figure. we'll only know when we get em out the box!!

Thanks for the pic. And this isn't towards you, I just need to reference...
To microclone, I wish I had my camera here, but any one with these figure can testify that Voyager Classics Prime is conciderably shorter than any of his AEC class counterparts.
In the pick that ScaleFace posted Rodimus is in a squated position. I mention this because more than a few Deluxe class bots near and rival Voyager Classic Primes size.
With this figure looking to be similar in scale, and half way between Voyager and Deluxe, wouldn't a half way price point based on size instead of class be more precident?
After all, a MiniCon in a Voyager box is still a MiniCon!
Then agian, as I said and you agreed, we won't know till it's in hand. Hell maybe it'll even be like Leader Metroplex who shadows Supreme Primus
However I doubt it...

Scaleface wrote:Hasbro has stated before that the "size class" isn't as much about size and number of parts and detail and such. So some figured will be smaller, but have lots of moving parts or gimmicks, while others will be larger and be simplistic. There are some tall Deluxes like Night Slash Cheetor and short ones like the RiD build team. They are all Deluxes.
They also said that a 15% retool constitutes as a new mold.
Hence I call a profitering cop out, or in other words...

Declaring that size and parts do not determine class brings a sad truth to the MiniCon statment I made earlier.

Far as the voyager Prime, I don't like how they displayed him in the box. He should have had his side facing the window. Also the axe is kind of a dissapointment. At Botcon they said thet the Axe was like half of his trailer and looked amazing. Looks to me like they only met half that expectation.
I will still buy him though, take him out of his box, and give him the more detailed axe that comes with the 2-pack.
On the plus side, at least the painted version looks better than the solid red version that we all saw a few weeks ago.

I for one, like the smaller sized Primes. he may not be a mega or a leader but the voyager sized Classics Prime is just the right size for me. I can only hope that the TFA one isn't super gangley when he's in 'bot mode.
