eBay seller tfctoy has posted an auction giving us our first look at an individually-packed battle-damaged Arcee figure from the Transformers Movie toyline. The figure had been previously available in a Sam's Club exclusive 3-pack with Starscream and battle-damaged Voyager Prime seen here. Now the figure is available seperately. No word yet on what retail chain will carry this exclusive figure.

What point do they have (other than to milk everything for all it's worth) for making this figure? Especially after it was an exclusive elsewhere...
I realize they need filler to keep the line going and they weren't expecting demand to become what it has, but this is beyond good taste.

There hasn’t been any pics of Prime yet, now has there? Plus you get a better value buying them in the three pack rather than individually.

THIS! the pink is just horrid. and this "battle damaged" is just dirty pink. the black will be brilliant. hell she was black in the movie too at least the bike that was slid under Blackout was. eh but then again Hasbro seems to almost never do the oblivious and best option. eh i think i'm just bitter about waiting for Animated to release.

Wait someone doubted that
They must not know that TFs are the second class red headed step daughter of the Hasbro family. It doesn't matter how good they do, it'll never be as good as the shelf warming other lines they produce.
Now I know it's good busness to belt out product with as little effort as possible. But the constant repaints of figures that are far beyond tired is rediculious.
At least give us a retool, but no, that would be work, and they why should they have to do that
So long as there are parents, grandparents, and other people that'll unknowingly buy whatever for junior, and collectors who need to have all 57 variants of Jazz, and 300 Strongarms all MSIB they'll keep turning profit instead of new product.
There was an old saying it went something like "The easiest way for the villanious man to prosper, is for the just man to do nothing"
Voice you're opinion and hope to educate as apose to berate, and hopefuly voices heard will bring either change or sweet death quickly.

All the stuff Autobot32 just said.
Well, wait a second. Did you hear the news from, like, last month, that Universe/Classic 2.0 actually WON'T have straight repaints, that the repaints WILL be remolds, etc.?
So, yeah, I think Hasbro is milking the Movie for all they can, but things will be different next year.
Now, of course, they could milk the 2nd Movie for all they can, too, but maybe Hasbro won't go back to doing so many straight repaints, and will continue to do even slight remolds in lines other than Universe/Classic 2.0. Here's hoping, anyway.

It wouldn't be the first time Hasbro's plan didn't work out as well...planned.
I'm hoping for good news in the C/U 2.0 and Animated lines. (even though I won't be collecting the latter, I'd still like to see the fans of it not get a bum deal like all of us have with the Movie line...)
I'll admit, anything is possible and Hasbro could be 110% honest here and they'll actually come through, but why not milk it if they can? (and they will)
I know, it sounds like I'm ungrateful (and I swear I'm not. I do appreciate everything they've given us) but it's ridiculous at this point. Repaints, remolds, repacks, etc....
That's not a toy line, that's a business model that unfortunately works all too well. (otherwise they wouldn't continue to do it.)
Everyone wanted Big Daddy (I'm not one of those, btw...) and I'm glad they got him. Beyond him, however...this is ridiculous.
Battle damaged Arcee (who wasn't even in the friggin' movie!)
F.A.B. repaints
Deluxe Class Allspark Power/Premium line repaints (I'm still scratchin' my head over the Premium line being repainted with horrid blue paint, yet it's not actually part of the Allspark Power line....)

Considering how long they've stretched this out, the repaints, remolds, etc...not a lot of new molds. Especially when compared to other lines of the past.
I didn't include Unleashed, Robot Replicas or Heroes because they don't transform. I also didn't include remolds such as Thundercracker because a remolded head or limb just isn't enough to classify it as a new mold.
I finally decided to start listing my collection by each individual mold (because it's starting to become quite big and I'm losing count...) and I noticed that if you count every Mini-Con, Basic, Deluxe, etc...Armada alone has over 75 individual molds.
Energon and Cybertron, the same.
The Movie line has gotten the shaft here (especially Bonecrusher...) and well...it sucks.
Filling it up with repaints (from long dead lines, no less!) and remolds (crappy ones I might add!) doesn't make it the best choice. I realize they've got to make money on this, but if you count how much they've made on just the original molds of this line...I'm sure they made close to their initial investment. They've definitely made well over that by now.
US, UK, China, Japan, Australia, etc...all of them have Movie line figures and they're selling out left and right. By this point, they're just using those molds like the town doorknob. (everyone gets a turn)
Ridiculous.

Hey, please do me a favor and don't take something I said in on thread and post in in another.
That's twisting my words and it's not apreciated.
Now I do agree that the constant repaints have to be brought under control.
And yes, Classics 2.0 like Classics 1 should be pretty much new molds, but it's a filler line, nothing more.
Besides we should expect new molds in a new line, as apose to fell lucky to get them. This is a fact in any consumer market.
Now the movie has been repainted beyond any good taste, but does anyone also remember that nearly all of the second year of the Cybertron run was nearly all repaints.
Hell I can still find them on my shelves.
Yes repaints are cost effective, but they should never be a replacement for the work that goes into a retool or remold.
And again, please stop misquoting me. What I origionaly said to Autobo032 in this thread is statement enough for here.
