It stands to reason that sooner or later one would surface somewhere, and if it is true, imagine the guy who found it. Knowing what its worth can you imagine your excitement.
Must agree that this is a god-damn hideous colour scheme and you have to look at it for what it is, an ugly lump of plastic that someone is going to spend an inhuman amount of money on.
I'd like to bid on this but have rent, food, holidays and other things that I'm sure would suffer if i did....

i still stick to my guns that somethings fishy about it. After spending 20 years unattended to in a warehouse in china, the thing still looks good as new. definitely something is up.
the people who are bidding for it certainly aren't risk averse or risk neutral, lol....

It was the 90s, if a toy wasn't garishly neon, then it wasn't good enough. Most of the G2 recolors were hideous. G.I.Joe didn't fair any better during this time either.
While I agree that the price tag is insane, if this is indeed real, then someone will get their hands on a piece of near mythology. But then, it is a prototype, and the back of the cards for the rest of the G2 Stunts show a motormaster was made.

I agree that this is bordering on mythology here, but remember the publicity shots showed one in vehicle and one in robot mode and editing techniques were alot tougher all those years ago, where there is one there is liable to be another.
IF this is genuine and IF this was found in the warehouse where the rest were shipped it could lend some clues as to where when and who owns the other prototype, you never know we could be seeing a national treasure movie in the making here
The search for motormaster....
As for the comments this is in too good a condition to be real, I worked for a famous cosmetics company years ago who used to bottle Giorgio fragrances, years after the contract ended we kept coming across the odd box of perfumes that got stacked on a the wrong shelf etc by someone who was out to finish his shift.
At $80 per bottle and with 100+ in a box these finds were uncommon but by no means unheard of, and the person who found it was allowed to buy it (as the contract ended we couldn't do anything else with it) at a $10 a bottle, so these kinds of finds all depend on how the luck of who was stacking stuff in the warehouse at the time.
I'd guess that whoever did the G2 stuff didn't really see a Green neon lorry as being that important to keep track off after it was used for some photos.
I'm guessing this thing is liable to top the $6000 mark giving the current insane bidding, would that make this the most single expensive and sought after TF ever???

Are the colors really that terrible? It looks like the King of All Cosmos went on a Royal Rainbow bender, but I like the blue and I don't mind the purple. The green is overkill, but I'd rather have some outlandish neon color than some of the drab olives, tans, browns, and grays Hasbro likes putting on toys nowadays.
In those colors, I wouldn't pay for a Motormaster toy seeing as how he's so small, but I'd definitely pay for an Optimus Prime or an Ultra Magnus (who I think has one of the worst color schemes of all TF's, at least compared to the original Diaclone version).

EDIT: it was G2 Breakdown at the 1994 Botcon.

Now at $6000 with a little under 2 hours to go, I'm keeping an eye on this as I think we can see this going to stupid levels.
As an after thought, be funny if after spending all this money it gets damaged during shipping and he comes missing an arm etc...or am i just plain mean?
