On the positive side, she is about the same height as Classics Rodimus.

I get the feeling that somebody is laughing and rubbing their hands together.
Hate to think that these will cost by the time they get to the UK. Shame as I was really looking forward to a decent G1 Arcee.
I really do think these 3rd party companys are taking advantage of the Transformer fans. Nothing wrong with making a bit of money but deliberatly pricing them so high....or are these a limited production run? If they are then ok I can understand the price.

Hopefully the rumors of Hasbro releasing Arcee and Kup as a part of the Generations line in the future is true.

Third party items are always much more limited runs than if it were Hasbro or Takara. It costs them a lot more per unit to make the things. It could also be the retailer as well, they need their cut as well, as with any product.
The price could definitely better, but compared to Defender, this is acceptable. This month seems really soon, so I'm not sure how much truth the release date holds, but as long as FP doesn't pull a miracle and release the Bruticus set at the same time, I'll be okay. If Valkyrie is indeed released soon I think I'm going to ship my loot, I don't need to pay a boatload of duties when the Bruticus sets get released.
She's going with my classics, I think, though the box will be displayed with the G1s. If Hasbro does do a Classics Arcee, Valkryie goes with the G1s.

That's true considering that its still only a rumor/hint? If I were to guess, it'd probably be based off of her War for Cybertron design in which the robot mode and alt-mode are both really on point. I'm not sure if this pic is okay to use, but I stumbled upon this a while ago. Hope I don't get in trouble.
She's on the lower right. Concept is just a thought though.

I don't collect animated, but I got animated Arcee because she does fit with the classics universe line. This figure does not appear to be $60 better than animated Arcee.

Hard to compare the two IMHO. It's the proverbial "apples to oranges" comparison. Animated Arcee is more of a niche figure thanks to the aesthetics of the show. She doesn't fill the niche for most G1 and classic fans. I'd guess you fall in the minority of classics fans that bought Animated Arcee.
There's also the issue of 3rd party company versus Hasbro/TakaraTomy. I know that point has been repeated numerous times, but it still holds true. In a perfect world, this Valkyrie figure would cost no more than $20. But that's not the way this 3rd party stuff works.
Piece for piece, is this Arcee worth $60 more than the Animated one? Probably not. Yet the value hardly hinges on the amount of plastic or the gimmick here. For G1 Movie fans, this piece is darn near perfect. Those poor fans (myself included) have waited 24 years for this. Unless the quality is utter crap, this Valkyrie/Arcee should be worth every penny for that audience.

The problem with Impossible Toy's Arcee is that Animated Arcee JUST came out. They should have brought this out years ago, when they first announced it. Plus we're saturated with Fansproject's kits, those of us who've preordered them anyway.
And now there's rumors of a Generations Arcee. It's a triple hit!
Terrible timing.
Well, I might get this too, eventually.

Add the item to the shopping cart then update the amount with some outlandish number, it will automatically update the amount they currently have available.

Put it in the cart, put in a ridiculous number like 1,000 and click refresh. It'll automatically adjust it to current stock levels (their words) and show you how many are left.
Just make sure to empty the cart or turn it back to one, or you'll end up buying all of them.

OT, AutobotJazz87, thanks for that concept pic, I have never seen it before. The character designs for this game are awesome. You can really tell the creators have a lot of love for the game. Please, please, please Hasbro, turn them all into toys especially Omega Supreme. I didn't realise Sentinal was in it. I thought the previous prime was changed to Zeta Prime.

I agree that the designs are great and show a lot of love for the characters, but if that's the figure Hasbro's considering producing, I'm glad I went with IP's figure instead. That Arcee doesn't float my boat, and just wouldn't fit with FP's stuff.
Animated Blurr actually looks quite nice with the FP stuff, and should look great next to Arcee.
...now, how the heck do we get a Kup? Because if he doesn't have a G1 look and goes WFC in terms of design, he's gonna be a sore spot for me.
Wheelie, I'm not too worried about, because he's being made with a new design from PerfectEffect, and Masterpiece Grimlock will fit in just right with these, but Kup? I dunno.

UM, you realize that Movie Slapdash will do the same thing?
@earlier poster: Actually, I bet the number of Classics fans who bought Animated Arcee would be higher if they could actually FIND her, and not the remains of some sadistic ebay seller who took off with them all... or maybe I'm just bitter.

I thought we would have to settle for Animated Arcee for a very long time. Though I'll still get one if/when I find her. And I'm very glad to hear that Hasbro may finally be making a Classics Arcee...which had better be a car. But even so, after the news of DriftBlurr, my expectations for her alt mode are not very high. And I'm fairly certain that Hasbro will never get around to making an Arcee that's as accurate as this one from IT. Only FansProject could do better. Yeah the price is high, but I just can't pass this up, despite my very limited budget.
In other words, SOLD! to all three.

Well, so do I (especially for the movie), but the $10 Classics Wheelie fit my Wheelie slot perfectly. And, if PE's not-Rumble is any indication, this will be even smaller and cost a whole lot more.
Well ... i guess there *is* a market for that guy.

Yeah, I got Animated Arcee as a "Classics" Arcee. To replace the Energon version. Hot Rod needs a full sized lady, you see. Although, even though I got her, Valkerie
tempting. But I have too many preorders, so ... it's a pass. For now.is

I had forgotten about Classics Wheelie, considering he never made it to stores around here. I've never seen him in person once, so out of sight, out of mind.
That said, what's the big deal all of a sudden about the one from PE? A lot of people sound angry about it...I just don't get it.

That said, what's the big deal all of a sudden about the one from PE? A lot of people sound angry about it...I just don't get it.
Angry? No. Shocked? Yes.
Typically, 3rd party companies fill a void in a collection. Take Springer. HasTak has not offered us a triple changing, unique mold of Springer. And he was in the movie ... he's pretty popular. Since they likely never will give us a Springer a costly 3rd party figure is a given.
Even a "Classics" Rumble / Frenzy. Most aren't satisfied with the headphones, so again, the popular characters who'll likely never get done, are filled by a 3rd party.
Well, Wheelie has been done. And he's actually the best out of all that line of Legends figures. So, not only has he been done well, and he's cheap, but he's also not a very popular character.
So, naturally, when PE announced Wheelie most of us are like ... why bother?
With all that in mind, I'm surprised anyone would want PE Wheelie. To me, there just isn't a market for it. But, clearly you want it, so I'm surprised.

Ravage XK wrote:Heres a thought, what if Hasbro did a KO of this Arcee? What would be the legal standing on that? It is a Hasbro character after all isn't it? Even if they changed it a little?
If I remember correctly, it's a matter of "You snooze, you lose".
While they own her original design, all logos and names, IP was the first to make a mass production toy of said design and since it doesn't use Hasbro's direct designs, they may not have much of a leg to stand on.
I might be incorrect on this, but I think Hasbro said they may not have a recourse.
IF anyone does, it might be Rabid Squirrel Productions because their design is close to this one (at least in terms of vehicle mode, robot...not quite) and RSP claimed to have records (with photo proof) that Hasbro wasn't seeking legal action over their A.R.C. robot.
So, I doubt IP will have much of a problem, especially since the figure is under $100.00 and that's the supposed cap.
Now, back to the other replies about Wheelie...
1.) I had forgotten about Classics Wheelie.
2.) I had forgotten about Classics Wheelie.
3.) I had forgotten about Classics Wheelie.
4.) I'll wait for pictures of the finished product before I make a decision, and it's my money, so what does it matter?
Geez.

It's the Paradron Medic from the old G1 cartoon Episode Fight or Flee. In the episode, she was basically a green Arcee.
At this point, someone should really give her an official name.

Currently 483 valks, 88 medics and 239 of the sets left.

Well they already have 2 videos of what looks like a real production toy, so I'm not worried.
I'm really suprised that Medic is selling a lot better than Valkyrie. So many people want a niche character that only showed up in a single episode? Odd.

It depends a lot on the company. Fansproject makes very good figures, both quality- and design-wise, but Impossible Toys' reputation isn't as perfect. I believe this is their first attempt at an actual transforming toy. That said, in the video where they showed off the figure and its transformation, it did indeed look like it was of decent quality.

I've been told several times that IT has made quality products when it came to their Kremzeek and Quints. As stated, this is their first foray into transforming figures, so we really don't know.
Someone asked if this was vaporware? No. The Nightbird remold/repaint is being produced in a lot of 1,000 for TFCon in Toronto in July. They absolutely must deliver on the product or there would be legal battles and IT would lose.
So, if they have the molds fired up for that product, the most certainly have Valkyrie and Medic produced as well, not to mention we've seen the video of the finished product and BBTS has in package pictures of it.
It's coming, and we probably will see it by the end of the month.
Whether it's a rush job or not, I guess we'll find out.
Here's to hoping for the best!
