Hello Everyone!
Non-Attending registrations now sold out. If there are any leftover attending sets we will turn them into non-attending sets (closer to the event) as we must keep those in stock for fans that want to travel to the event.
So, if you don't get a non-attending set now, we will let you know in the future when (if any) additional sets become available.
Please DO NOT register for an attending set and try to change it to a non-attending set later as we will cancel this registration and put it back in stock.
Thanks for your support!

I'm thinking only 1/3 to 1/4 of the amount for attendees.

I've heard last year wasn't a good year in comparison to other years. Which is hard for me to gauge considering last year was my first botcon, I loved every moment of it and it's the reason why I'm going again this year and plan on trying to make it year after year. Regardless of where it is in the U.S.

No idea what that's about. It was a very fun convention, a bit lower on people than usual and the dealer room was just so-so selection wise, but a great time.

I'll take a super-fun Energon mold compatible with a G1 Headmaster all day long. I'm sure PE will make a nice Scorponok action figure that falls apart into twelve pieces that kind of constitute an alt mode once you're done finessing them together for 8 days.

Is that what PE figures are like? I don't own much in the way of 3rd party. I spend enough on Hasbro/takara figures. I'd hate to see my bank account if I bought things like Giant, the Menasor and other 3rd party figures that looked realy nice.

Nah PE is pretty awesome (but on the expensive side even for 3P). ScottyP is just not a fan of Warden (which is the figure he is refering to)
PE is also known for parts forming.

This is why I can't do third party. Expensive as hell. I already drop too much money on Hasbro and takara.

Relative small fry are usually not worth going after if
1) the possible damages are less than the costs of going to court
2) it can't be proven that overall sales have taken a significant hit since a certain 3rd party product went to market.
3) the design is different enough to be distinguishable from another official product i.e. they do not infringe on current patents.
4) they're not using any of Hasbro's trademarks or names.
That's all I'm gonna say, and that's all that should be said on the matter. >:oP

Eh, I prefer the Tidal Wave than the Kalis' Lament, despite it's lack of feasibility as a space-faring vessel.

I agree, Tidal Wave is much better as a spectacle than the Lament

As he's "Cannonball the 8th", the issue also noted that Cybertron Cannonball is "Cannonball the 10th of Aurex 1107.23 Beta", and the new BotCon 2014 Cannonball is "Cannonball the 5th of Primax 509.28 Epsilon".
There's also mentionings of other Cannonballs in Tornado's Facebook posts.
- "Cannonball the 1st" was the Maraudicon leader who was a Decepticon Warlord back in the pre-war era.
- "Cannonball the 3rd" captained a voyage to the planet Toruin during which his crew nearly mutinied, wanting to escape to the paradise planet of Sperity (both of these planets were in The Headmasters anime).
- "Cannonball the 4th" had some sort of success in the Garyun Melee (whatever that was).

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Do I have to look up which franchises the streams refer to? Robots in Disguise having a Cannonball is pretty... weird, to be honest.
Had to grab my own issue to get the list. All it lists are the the tech specs the Cybertron two-pack of Cannonball and Downshift released on Black Friday that describes the story "Search for the Pirate Moon" (Aurex 509.28 Epsilon), the Robots in Disguise cartoon (Viron 901.8 Alpha), and the Wings Universe portion of Generation One (Primax 1107.23 Beta).
Also, I finally figured out what made up Robots in Disguise Cannonball: Generation One Action Master Sprocket with the legs and null-rays on Starscream and some bits of Mirage. I knew there was some sort of Action Master heritage in there!

LOL someone should do a context using these. You have to take a picture of the item on the bingo card, bring it back to the person in charge of the contest. First 3 people back win prizes. Like 50, 25 and 10 bucks or something ROFL! :p

Clever idea. Do I get to count my own fedora (which I expect to wear to the convention)?

No way! I won't get to count myself as a drunk person in the convention space so you'll need to find another fedora as well
