Yahoo Japan has auctions for five minibots molded in clear plastic. Information from Ricochet at TFW2005 may clear up the origin of these toys:

According to the description by the seller:
this is a prize sample given from Takara in the past. Sample was made, but pure clear-white plastic lacks its toughness, so it was never produced. Surely copyrighted by Takara, molded on the toy. |
I cannot confirm, or deny that the translation of the description says that, but if it does these are some very rare pieces of G1 awesomeness. What do you think, are these awesome very rare pieces of Transformers history that were unproduced or not? Would you like to own them, or would they be a skip for you? Cost too much anyway?
