Color images of 3rd party Megatron with Size Comparisons

Why yes, I would like one on my shelf please.

I have to get this Megatron...I am afraid of how much its gonna cost me....saving up for TFCON is going to be very difficult.

I will get this, no matter the cots. (Ok, maybe the cost)

Is he a lot taller than classics Prime? Still not sure about the handle in gun mode, actually I am sure that it looks awful. Nice bot mode though.

Why do these third party things have to be so pretty?

OMGOODNESS this is awesome, its greatness at its best! That looks like it could replace the CHUG Megatron & does that easily! I'll take one for my collection, then I'll gladly give away my nerf gun Megatron!

I believe Classics Prime is about the size of Exgraver, so ... this guy is much taller than he is. How tall would that make this guy? Ultra class?

"Hegemon" (LoL!) robot form = much improved over the Classic/Takara D-01 version (not even gonna go into a nerdrage over the hideous coloring of the Hasrbo version...UGH).
And, He is just as accurate as the MP version due to the "pipe" section that extends up over his right shoulder, just like the cartoon...and his robot form seems a bit more "filled out" than the MP mold...something I always hated about both the G1 and MP versions...he seemed rather emaciated and "Callista-Flockhart-ish" for the mighty leader of the Decepticons...eat a sammich for cryin' out loud, Megs!

And his alt form...BOOYAH!. I hated the classic/takara version (not to mention it left Megs with some nasty wings in bot form...freakin' WINGS!?).

And based on the convenient photos posing him next to the Herc bots...he looks roughly on scale with classic/Takara Prime...also cartoon accurate, as Megs was often depicted being slightly taller (technically as the "more powerful" brother), if I remember correctly.

And I don't know how "preliminary" this mold photos are, but even his FACE looks like a decent reproduction.

FULL OF WIN...I am preordering one as soon as I see the button available.

Still think I prefer United megatron ( I took the 'wings' off mine and covered the sculpted decep sign) but the main reason I prefer United Megatron is because he doesn't have transparent upper arms

The figure looks amazingly cartoon accurate and keeps the scale with other figures quite nicely. I would imagine it'll cost well over 100 dollars though. If it stays under that mark it'll definitely be a great buy.

gonna sell hardcore. hate the transparent parts and that stupid sword though.

As I posted on the facebook version of this article, this Megatron would be the one I want to fill out my Classics collection. This Megatron looks solid in many ways even if the legs/gun handle looks a bit tacky.

That is pretty awesome, aside from the transparent upper arms. I'm probably fine with the Henkei one I already have though.

Ok, This WILL be mine... It's what a masterpiece should be! give me some QC reviews first though...

These are beautiful images, I will preorder as soon an announcement is made. It's like Classics engineering with a keener eye on the G1 aesthetic.

Size comparison: Classics Megatron (Voyager) seems about the same size, but it looks like this version has a bit more heft to him, so maybe closer to Ultra scale.

2012 - the year of larger scale 3rd party figures? Sixshot, HoS Shockwave, & whatever prototype FansProject showed before.

Keeps scale with which other figures? Looks good with Herc figs, but seems a little big for standard Classics and a little small for MPs or even Faith Leader. Looks quite nice, but their choice of size I find a bit odd.

This will be ordered with such ferocity that my wife & my bank account won't know what happened. He will look great next to the other 50 or so Megatrons in my collection.

This is what the masterpiece version was supposed to be. I hope those panels to free up the arms don't get in the way. Yeah, they fudged the alt-mode's grip, but better that than make the robot mode suffer. Hasbro themselves did it with the RTS Megatron.

Everyone apparently hates the upper arms. I'd rather solid colors too, but I'll take it if I have to (and no "translucent free" edition for at least a year, that's just being a dick).

Is that sword supposed to be a giant shard of crystal or flaming? The former is actually pretty badass. Either way, it could use a proper guard instead of... more crystal/flame. I hope those can come off.

Very nice indeed! Now with this 3rd party leader I wonder what the latest is that 3rd party Galvy? So even if it turns out to be a total bust if the makers of this Megs prove to have a quality fig they should consider putting Galvy on their list...I'm just sayin'!

Looks good, would like to have seen some color on his trademark "uni-brow", a better sword, and a red that wasn't translucent, but he still looks good.

I am definitely not a "3rd party guy" but after years of waiting for a decent Megatron, I might just have to pull the trigger (pun intended) on this one!

I had thought that if I only plumpled for one 3rd party toy this year it would be Hexatron. Looks like I'll be buying at laest two high tag items after all. Have we even heard anything about this previously? To get in from work and have this much awesome come at me out of left field is not something that happens every day.

there were unpainted prototype images floating around some weeks back.

I dunno, I like him, he is cool and all, but I have Henkei Megs, He's good enough. I'd rather spend money on characters I don't have (good) versions of.

It took me a reeeealllly long time to notice that, but apparently the elbow connectors (not the entire upper arms) look like they could be clear red plastic. I think I could live with that

that is awesome, but its going to be way to expensive to justify buying. Ive said it before and ill say it again, its sad that 3rd party companies are doing better work than habro in both quality & design/functionality.

Plus Hasbro's doing it for a much larger audience than the G1 faithful junkies... They're trying to appease us, but they want to make it desirable to those that have never heard of G1 Whats-his-nuts. How about we compare this to the next MP Megs which is done specifically for the G1 junkies...I have my $ on that being more impressive than this, but we'll see.

Looks like Hegemon will be dead-on the same height as iGear's Faith Leader, will tower a bit over Classics Prime (in comparing both figures to Dr. Crank).

They might be referring to the fact that the term "chug" is a highly derogatory term for Native Americans and First Nations people.
