Thanks to JTPrime17, we have confirmation of yesterday's Studio Series listings, including the EAN number and Product number. Now, please read this attentively: the designation of the characters is said to be erroneous at times. Meaning that "MV6" can reffer to "86" as we saw with 86 Wheelie which was listed for vendor sites as "Transformers Generation Studio Series Core Tf7 Wheelie 5010994112134". Also the WFC refers to the High Moon games. Please keep that in mind when looking at this list.

It's not rumored, I just wildly speculated and wishfulfilled because it says MV7 on the listing, which is Rise of the Beasts, lol. Could just be a 2007 misnomer or something. Megatron says MV6, so he's either based on Bumblebee concept art, or SS86 miscategorized, like it happened with Wheelie.
Or he can be something else entirely, like MV5. All we know is that we can't trust the "prefix" given if it's "MV". We don't know if it's automatically going to be SS86 instead. We can assume that with Sunstreaker, since there is no Bayverse alternative, but I wouldn't assume anything for Megatron yet. Also, I updated the full listings here now that we have confirmation of vendor codes.

Curiously, has Sunstreaker ever appeared in modern animation? I don't know much about any of these shows but what few episodes I've seen of each I don't recall ever seeing a version of Sunstreaker.
So it would seem to be ER version. However in the recent updated info it's listed as MV6, which I would take to mean the 6th Movie but I also don't recall a Sunstreaker in that either. Other Bots like sweep clearly indicate 86, so I'm not gonna get my hopes up and we've got a long time to wait.
There was also the rumor Sunstreaker may be packed with Hound, so if that's not the case it opens up that to more speculation as to who it might be.

Now that you mention it, nope, no Sunstreaker has appeared onscreen in any Transformers cartoon since the 1980s.Till-all-R1 wrote:Overcracker wrote:Please let that Sunstreaker be SS-86 and be using the Earthrise mold... pretty please....

Yeah that's something that came up with my Top 5 Sunstreaker list. Unlike other G1 characters, who I'd argue are as prominant as him, he didn't turn into a legacy character. No Bayverse nameslap, nothing in Unicron trilogy or Alligned, ect, so very few toys.

I guess Hot Shot kinda took over his role of "self-absorbed yellow Autobot sportscar", like how he also took over both Bumblebee and Hot Rod's roles of "kid-appeal Autobot" and "cocky young Autobot car with untapped leadership potential" for a time, too.william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Now that you mention it, nope, no Sunstreaker has appeared onscreen in any Transformers cartoon since the 1980s.Till-all-R1 wrote:Overcracker wrote:Please let that Sunstreaker be SS-86 and be using the Earthrise mold... pretty please....

Just like his G1 toy, the dino head splits in half when he's in robot mode. PvP's copy looks like it's got issues staying tabbed together.

Which altmode? Because Seige Shockwave have several.
No parts needed for the original G1 "submarine" (wink wink) mode.
Parts needed for that bad-ass Space Yamato style space battleship.

Well, that's what I mean. He does have an alt mode even without the armor. That just gives him a bigger alt mode but he doesn't need it.
This is all probably moot anyway because it's probably a Voyager of Bumblebee Shockwave

But having said that, I hope (based ON his review) that Hasbro takes some measures to make sure Snarl's dino head will tab together more securely. I have G1 Snarl still in my collection, and it has ALWAYS been a matter of frustration that his dino head just won't stop splitting in half. And I'm disappointed that the back plates, AND the sword, use soft plastic. None of the other leader dinobots used soft plastic on any of their parts, not even Slag's horns. It was all hard plastic. Why is Snarl suddenly getting the short end of the stick in that regard?
Hopefully Hasbro will at least use these early leaks to get feedback and fix those issues by beefing up the tabs to hold the dino head together, replacing the soft plastic with hard plastic, and using the same gold plastic for the dino head and legs. They could do all of that before the official release, seeing that Prime v. Prime has spilled the beans so early .

In case the TLK listing was wrong, I really wonder what will a SS86 leader Megatron will be?
Will they DARE make him transform into a gun?
Or will he still transform into a tank but this time around, ALL the tank kibbles will completely disappear from the bot mode?

Its highly unlikely to be BB movie, since he wasn't actually in the movie, not even in the scene most of these BB designs are coming from, and there's only a robot mode concept drawing for him.
It may be TLK, given that Mohawk is also a thing, and it may be SS-86.
Being SS-86, poses and interesting question. We know we are getting a Leader class Armada Megs in the not so distant future, and since SS-86 megs can't actually turn into a gun, he can be whatever they want. Could he possibly be a retool of Armada Megatron?

These early vids are being published openly, often months before Hasbro reveals the figures themselves. If Hasbro was at all concerned about these early leaks, one would think they would take measures to put a stop to it.

Honestly, I really try not to draw any lines in the sand when it comes to TF. I mean I understand why any Generations, or new toy line Megatron will usually be a Tank. It is his modern "standard" alt mode.
However for SS86. If they cannot find some way to market it as an online exclusive collectable for adults (I mean parents could purchase for kids if they wanted). Make it mandatory to be 18+ to purchase in North America (as Japan and other nations have no issues with Megatron being a gun). But honestly, if they cannot do SS86 Megatron as an accurate to screen Walther P38, then they just shouldn't do it at all. It makes the whole meaning of "Studio Series" pointless if Megatron has a different alt mode from what was shown in TF:TM.

Unfortunately there was no way of knowing back in 1983 how irrational the western world would become. I agree that a Tank is an awesome alt mode for the Leader of the Evil Decepticons. But I also appreciate accuracy to the original fiction. I mean in the "Toys that made Us" documentary, Yukisan himself stated the Micro-Change Gun Robo was a heroic character as well .

The other recent gun mode Megatron accessory we've gotten from Hasbro is the one in the Selects Centurion accessory set.
It does include the removable silencer
It was NOT included with SS-86 Coronation Starscream which would have made sense, except he can't hold him very well with the new articulated hands.

That's why I said a tank Megatron, but all the tank kibble disappear from the bot mode. No backpack either.

Maybe the instructions could intentionally mistransform the alt-mode so it just looks like some """Cybertronian""" artillery emplacement, hmmm?
