We had shared images previously of the upcoming warrior class figures from Transformers Earthspark and in there we could see that both Twitch and Bumblebee had these black prongs that hinted at a combining gimmick. Well there are more images now on Amazon and they show us exactly what we get out of that. It's, well, you'll see. Below you will see all the images of these two upcoming toys along with the combining description from Hasbro. They are in the 5th wave of warrior class figures. If you are wondering, the 2nd wave was the one with Thrash, the 3rd wave had Jawbreaker and the 4th wave had the Cyberverse shockwave redeco. It's being found in target stores now. A full breakdown of waves 4 and 5 can also be found below.
Wave 4
2x Optimus Prime
2x Thrash
2x Shockwave
Wave 5
1x Megatron
1x Jawbreaker
2x Bumblebee
2x Twitch
Ride and Combine description:
COMBINE WITH WARRIOR CLASS TERRAN TWITCH: Warrior Class Bumblebee can ride and combine with Warrior Class Terran Twitch (sold separately, subject to availability) to create super battle vehicles and reveal weapons

Skullcruncher is cute and fun. I am amazed he has now ended up in 2 modern cartoons back to back no less.
Thrash is pretty decent, though i still think the warrior is the better toy. This one can pose nicely, but his transformation is a smidge soft and fiddly for the feet in alt mode. Plus he can't actually have a sidecar. But he still works nicely.
Prowl is hilarious, I actually like him a lot more than Hot Rod from Cyberverse. Amazing what better color choices do for a mold. It is still subpar, but it at least looks the part better. I kinda wish he had a new head, but otherwise, its strangely somehow works.

Also, warrior Jawbreaker is still a lovely little guy

The more interesting reveal is that ESD-10 DX is Prowl. This time the Cyberverse Deluxe Prowl is getting an incredible repaint rather than the Cyberverse Deluxe Hot Rod repaint Hasbro released.
Both figures are listed for 3,850 JPY ($24.00 USD) and are set to release on June 29 ,2024. Images and Amazon.jp links can be seen below.

They also use "R" sounds for "L" sounds, so any machine translator is going to instinctively misinterpret "Thrash" as "Slash" since the latter is a more common word than the former.

Sabrblade wrote:His name is still "Thrash". It's just that the Japanese language doesn't have a proper "Th" sound, so it uses "S" sounds to approximate it.

@Sabrblade- Thank you for letting me know this- I seriously had no clue!

Stormshot_Prime wrote:That’s a great Prowl, the proportions in both modes are spot on for the style of EarthSpark, I hope he shows up in S2 like this. A good mix of cartoony and realistic.
You know what undermines his realism? He's a two-door car. Almost every incarnation of Prowl or Barricade is supposed to be a police car, but has no real back seat.

It would be perfect if they included the blast effects which are really, REALLY good.

Apparently in Japan Fire and Police commanders use sports cars that are only two-door. I guess Prowl and Barricade were based on the vehicles of higher-ranking officers.

We know what Earthspark Prowl looks like thanks to the Hasbro Packaging (and it's not a reuse of the Cyberverse design):

Definitely going to pass on the Hasbro version since Prowl and Thrash don't come with Mandroid parts so I have no need for them.
May as well compare Thrash:
Hasbro

Takara Tomy

And I would still recommend Hasbro Prowl as a cool Checkpoint.

I've got Warrior Thrash, it's great, but not particularly accurate color-wise. Maybe I should just grab the Japanese release, too. I'll only get Hasbro's Prowl if it's on sale or clearanced.

I know that and have Bumblebee. Outside of a few early international eBay listings and a seller going by AmazonUK on Amazon NO ONE has seen or gotten Warrior Twitch to go with Bumblebee. Crap, I never published Bumblebee here and it hasn't been newsed yet. It's a really good figure but without Twitch you're only getting half the fun.

Very curious about this “Chaos” version of Twitch, the second season can’t come soon enough.

william-james88 wrote:The latest warrior class figures from the Transformers Earthspark line appeared in Canada a little while back. However, no one posted a video review addressing the combination aspect of these toys, until now. While it isn't a mind boggling combination, remember that this is just a third mode for either toy, and a child still has a complete Transformers toy experience with owning just one of them as either can go from robot mode to vehicle mode as traditionally expected. The combination is just a bonus if you get more than one, and it will be cross compatible with the Hashtag figure that was just revealed.

I have my own internal transformers universe I made up, so I don't need to get characters based on media, or limit interest based on media. I just get the characters who I think are cool, learn about their personality through play and research, and see where they fit in my own universe. Everyone has a story to tell.

It appears that only the Prowl release (ESD-10) has been cancelled because Thrash(Slash) (ESD-11) is showing available on the Tomy-Takara Mall site currently.

Of course the one Earthspark that everyone wanted to import over any other gets outright cancelled. I bet they offer it again with the Hot Rod mold.

In story it probably easier for her to to blend in this form than the GHOST van.
They toy reason, its probably easier to design this vehicle into a toy and easier to sell.

It might not have helped that every episode of the Japanese dub has also been split in half to make every episode 11-minute-long 2-parters instead of the full 22-minute episodes that they are in the English version.chuckdawg1999 wrote:In the new issue of Figure King, there is a note that the entirety of Earthspark has been canceled in Japan. I don't know if that means after the release of what we know as Season 2 or that the sales and response have been so poor already that Takara is pulling the plug. Still, it is telling that something that had to be close to rolling off the production lines or sitting in warehouses already is pulled. I'll be honest, if anything that's caught your eye from Earthspark, especially the Japanese version, grab it now. I hope the Wheeljack, Breakdown, and Starscream Tacticons make it out easily.

At the beginning of May I went on AmiAmi and ordered nearly everything they had for Earthspark except for the one steps since nearly all of it was on clearance. I used the slowest shipping method and it still hasn't been shipped yet, probably won't see it for another 2 or 3 months.

I got the Prime with trailer and wanted that Prowl but didn't get a PO in and well, I'm SOL now. Might go for the Warrior Thrash if it hits clearance but won't loose sleep if I miss out.

And the toy lines too.
