This coincides with the recent reveal of the new entry in the Cyberverse toyline, Spark Armour
Please take a look at the trailer below which we have embedded for your convenience:
Here is the press release accompanying the trailer and gives us hints of what we can expect to see in the second season!
Hasbro wrote:Season 2, titled CYBERVERSE: POWER OF THE SPARK, is set to release fall 2019 with Cartoon Network USA.
In CYBERVERSE: POWER OF THE SPARK, the AUTOBOTS are closer than ever to finding the ALLSPARK, but completing their quest will be tougher than they could have imagined. They’ll face new enemies and be challenged by Earth’s roughest terrain, and along the way they’ll discover that, when near the ALLSPARK, they are imbued with incredible new powers.
Using one of these mysterious new abilities, the AUTOBOTS will convert Earth vehicles into Spark Armor: the battle-ready gear they need to defeat the DECEPTICONS and continue their mission. They’ll convert boats into mech suits to battle Sharkticons in the water. They’ll change planes into jetpacks to take on the Seeker Squadron in the sky. Any Earth vehicle is a chance to instantly level the playing field, turn the tables, and win the day. With the power of the spark in their circuits, the AUTOBOTS will complete their mission on Earth and begin the perilous journey back home, where that same power holds the key to returning life to their planet.

And by that I mean Lugnut.

WHY IN THE EVER LOVING HECK DID THEY MAKE LUGNUT A GIRL? I mean, if it had been a new, random Decepticon Femme named Lugnut, fine, but that is clearly Animated Lugnut. Lumbering, brainless, barbarian, deep voiced, Punch-Of-Kill-Everything Animated Lugnut. With a girl’s voice.

Does beg the question of why it’s not Strika, the long-standing resident big-girl-on-the-block Transformer.
For that matter, if added cameos are on the docket , I wonder if Ovveride or Thunderblast will ever make an appearance.

Strika is land based? Memory isn't always reliable but have there been any land based 'Con in Cyberverse yet?

strika may be land based, but changing her to an aerial vehicle is much less crazy than gender-bent lugnut.

ah yes, forgot about her (which is shameful on my part because I liked her).
But even adding the blokes in, 'Cons seem to be more air based. Maybe that's the explanation for Lugnut.

Unless I'm wrong, I think Shadow Striker was a Seeker (or maybe just a Seeker Commander) before 'Bee done blew her up and Shockwave patched her back together. Which would make her "land-mode" a special case. Even so, ol' Megs turns into a tank, which is a decidedly land mode.
Also, how do we know this the femme-Con will be named Lugnut? Maybe she'll have a different name! Strika even! (Doubt it, but you never know!)

Actually it's not Lugnut. Similar look, new character
https://twitter.com/RandolphHeard/status/1096143593897512960
There were some reservations about changing Lugnut so instead we were allowed to invent a new character who is pretty awesome
https://twitter.com/RandolphHeard/status/1096144183612428288
Honestly, it's because we loved the look of Lugnut. The character is new for Cyberverse but does have a friendship with Lockdown

Character has a great name, but we want to let it come out when she premieres

What is up with this timeline? Blurr is alive here, and Bee has his voice. Is this going to be done ins flashbacks too?
Cheetor got me all pumped up. Love how our kitty cat has continued to evolve from rookie (BW) to capable commander (BM) to tribe leader (IDW) to wise sage that succeeded Alpha Trion (Botcon) and now the guardian of the Allspark. I love it! The character choice was spot on (heh, puns)

Can we just get a new Beast Wars show already? Yeah, it won't be as good as the original but I'd just want to see something other than GEEWUN being rehashed for a change. It's what, 20 years old and more now? Surely it is old enough to not only milk my generation but also to be new and fresh to the kids (and store shelves). Just going to have to deal with BW Megatron being fluffy and fuzzy now.

I think Dinobot would be the one you should be more concerned with! He will find feathers suitably unfitting a Warriors honor!

Also nice to have Bumblebee talking normally again. The Movie-esqe audio sampling was kinda cute, but it'll be nice to be done with it. Also wondering if we'll see full on Maximal/Predacon ranks, since we have quik boi and Sky-Byte.

Though Slugnut would be funny, as it would reference the ALF cartoon.
"I didn't know slug nuts were this sticky." "They are when they're packed in their own juices."
And I know we just had similar energon (-ish?) armor in RID '15, but for some reason this allspark armor just makes me think of the omni-enhanced aliens in the Ben 10 reboot, which is sort of a watered-down version of the Ultimate Alien gimmick, which turned out to be a bad idea in practice because no one bothered to spell out what the rules were as far as the dynamics of the show, and...I'm just not sure how I feel about it, is all.
What excites me most about Cheetor being the Allspark guardian is that they might actually have put some thought into this gargantuan 65 million+ year time gap that so far seemed to have been introduced for the sole sake of Grimlock's alt.

You know, I don't know if you're joking or not, but here's some interesting (by standards) ramblings.
Most of us "GEEWUNNERS" were still in school or college when G1 died in the butt. We had little or no disposable income. The internet was in it's early days and bulletin boards regarding TF's were few and far between.
So they tried something new, they appealed to a new, younger audience and went back to fleecing parents.
Once Hasbro realised "GEEWUNNERS" had disposable income, their focus swung back to G1.
Hey guess who has disposable income now? Beast Wars fans! So don't flatter yourself, Hasbro are just seeing you as cash cows, like those mean GEEWUNNERS that upset you so. You're just a statistic like the rest of us now.
P.S. I liked Beast Wars and Beast Machines and have a near complete collection of both. Oh and I'm one of those "GEEWUNNERS", so maybe don't be so quick to generalise hey?

I dont think is fair to expect kids that were growing up and interested in various other things in their teenage years that they stopped caring for transformers. The truth is Hasbro stopped making the brand relevant to new fans until Beast Wars came around.

What would be hilarious is if the next ancient guardian in this trend turned out to be Rattrap.

I think it is more just to get BW characters used again. The same could be said for IDW, [Jerry Seinfeld voice] What's with all the BW characters working for Unicron??
Speaking of IDW

Something else IDW failed to deliver on in the end. Though I was labeled as "boring and cliche'" for wanting Op & Megs in a final fight to end IDW, well, at least this show as that going for it.

Thanks to Sophia Sycamore on Artstation, we have a bunch of new concept art to share with you today. The concept artwork shown here includes some looks at Grimlock's dino mode, which compared to previous series has taken on a little bit of a pointier look, but still comes with some great dino mode expressions!
Next up, we get some nice and cute little organics, starring an adorable little pupper dog, the billy goat Bumblebee befriended and played headbutt with, and a little human boy, the only human to appear so far in the series.
Returning to our bots, we get some line art for Hot Rod, some facial expressions for Maccadam and Deadlock, and a look at the multitude of Seeker skin options the show has given to us.
Check out all out below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
