AMEN Brother! And I can understand the concern about the audience not being able to understand soundwave's dialogue, but why not use subtitles then?> They did it in the first movie when the cons' spoke in seibertronian and that worked just fine. lol,..sorry I know I know not a good gripe, but Soundwave and his trademark voice were always faves of mine.

I have to say Soundwave's voice is pretty unique, and why is it that he only laughs like twice or something in the G1 series?

I really wish a new G1 cartoon would be done, and with many original actors, just like Frank reprising his roles! It's really great that Frank enjoys it and would do it! Come on Hasbro, can you imagine the greatness of a new G1 cartoon done with current technology?
BTW, it would be awesome that the DVD, etc. ROTF release would have an extra to activate the vocoder effect for Soundwave to have the same effect as in G1 in his speech . Although I loved the voice as it was in the movie, the voice with the G1 vocoder effect in it would have been awesome, I was hoping it would be that way. Unfortunately Bay decided not to add the effect . Still excelent anyway, and it's Frank, so I don't want to complain too much since it was actually Soundwave speaking! And the Soundwave parts were some of my favorite from the movie .

Convotron wrote:Great interview! Frank IS a legend in the industry. Look at his extensive resume of VO roles! I still can't get over the fact the man is both Megatron and Fred Jones!
and Nibbler! As for Fred, it's been 40 years of Scooby Doo.

40 years for Scooby Doo who have thought it would still be around. Nah I love watching it whenever it's on TV. I'll even watch Curious George (bfd if it's for little kids) just to hear Frank's unreal vocal abilities.

G1 Soundwave does laugh twice. I love it when he does too.

Convotron wrote:Soundwave laughing is pretty funny. I'd love to find some sort of voice modulator that would change my voice to Soundwave's. I'd answer all my phone calls with that on. Oh, I'd love to speak to telemarketers in Soundwave's voice!
You just need a vocoder. I used once the one included on Magix Music Studio 2005 deluxe, to say a sentence on the beginning of a song, and my voice got pretty much like Soundwave .

Very cool! I'll have to look into vocoders.

You can check that sentence at the beginning of my small live performance of that song, which I have on YouTube. It's right after I speak and before I start playing. Only the guitars are live.
