I'm liking the game. Cullen is awesome, of course. It controls a little oddly... not quite the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction meets GTA we were promised, but fun anyway. And for the money, yeah. Awesome.

First impressions:
The Good = Gameplay! Racing around town trying to beat the Decepticon clones to Sam, getting stuck in traffic, transform, jump three lanes, climb over buildings, jump and transform back into car in time to land and speed off... wicked cool!
The Bad = Controls! It might be unique to the Wii, but the camera control was a little wonky and I got frustrated trying to look around (still can't figure out how to do it). Also, I can crash into cars and Decepticons and send them flying, but I come to a dead stop when I hit debris or a fallen tree. ????
The Bottom Line = In my opinion, fans will love it and have a blast racing, transforming and fighting. However, there might be less appeal to non-fans simply due to the controls and physics.
I'll get the PC game and try that out.

By the way, just ignore the IGN reviews. I'm thinking they must have played an entirely different game, because they apparently don't know how to shut the hell up and have fun.

Also, ALL versions of the console and PC games are identical. That means G1 skins, bonus Cybertron missions, etc. are all available. Target gives you the code to unlock G1 skins, and the Cybertron Edition gives you the code to unlock the Cybertron levels without having to beat the game, but you might as well just get them online.
As for the Cybertron edition, you're basically paying for the bonus disc with interviews. The game disk is supposed to be identical.
The controls and camera still have me a little frustrated.
Does anyone know how/where to input the Generation One codes? It doesn't work during actual gameplay...

The camera is just plain broken on this game. I wish they had done a better job on controls, camera, and clipping. The combat also seems far too straightforward and easy. Also, enemies like to get trapped in the scenery. Anyone kinda sick of punching drones yet?
Still trying to figure out the G1 code input problem, too. Someone let me know if they got it to work.
*POSSIBLE SPOILER*
I finally got him by knocking him over by throwing a truck at him, then picking HIM up and throwing him into a house. Your experience may vary.

I bought the $399 version. It comes with more memory and the controler is wireless. The $479 (Elite) is hard to find but it comes with more memory than the $399 and it has an HD cord. I wanted to get the Elite but didn't want to wait until I could find one.
I hope that helped

GAMEPLAY: Simple. GTA-style play with your standard fare missions. For some reason all of Bumblebee's missions are harder than everyone elses. However, expect subpar collision detection
GRAPHICS: They are somewhere between Super Mario 64 DS and Metroid Prime: Hunters, but pop-ups and "fog" ruin the look most of the time
TF-FANDOM: Loads of stuff, from the Unlockable G1 Starscream (Must go to a download station to get) to Cartoon References (Chip Chase's Resturant?) to Character References (Wheeljack was mentioned early on...)
BOTTOM LINE: Your on a TF-Fandom Website, so odds are your going to buy this. One of the best movie based games EVER. Better than Spiderman 2, but nowhere near as good as Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay.
I, Maju Garzett, give Transformers the Game (DS) a 8.5/10

Um isnt the PC,XBOX,PS3 all the same the ds one is different.

The game seems really unbalanced: one minute you're breezing through bad guys, the next minute you're stuck for an hour on an impossible mission objective. Right now, I can't survive long enough for the Allspark to shrink, and I've almost gone through a very expensive controller trying.
I also kind of wish I'd stop dying due to game bugs. The game still feels very "beta" to me.
Posted by RichGarner on June 26th, 2007 @ 6:18pm CDT
Is anyone else having an issue with the audio repeating? Prime will say a line then repeat himself beginning in the middle of the line. It's pretty consistent.
Mimimap runs out of graphics... like they forgot to add on to it.
Objective screens are horribly pixelated and low rez.
But otherwise, it's a lot of fun. (Once again, I can't imagine non-fans taking to this game well.)

It's hard! I started out playing the Decepticon campaign, which may be a little tougher. Also I'm a little disappointed by the bonus CD because it's mostly content that they had already made available through download on their website or through Xbox Live. There is a spot for 'G1 Characters' to be unlocked, about 4 or 5 slots. We know one of them is Optimus Prime... it'll be interesting to see who the others are! So the verdict so far is that it is a good game but pretty difficult, and don't spend the extra $10 on Cybertron edition unless you are a completist.

DONT but the Elite, all games that came before it dont support 1080i, but 1080p only, meaning your playing all the old games in 720p while you can play any game in 1080i using the component cables(with a optical cord for better sound if you want)
Anyways I hate the More than Meets the Eye hub because I cant find 2 energon cubes finish off the hundred cubes and I cant seem to get the whole jump thing even with the ramp in the middle. Also does anyone know how the heroic skill is increased? It was sorta automatic on the first hub but on the second one it dosent show in increasing or popping up at all

The Allspark is in my possession. Did anyone else swear ALL THE WAY THROUGH the Hoover Dam allspark battle?
Posted by First-Aid on June 26th, 2007 @ 7:24pm CDT
So far I'm liking the game. I've started the Decepticon side now as well...not liking the first Scorp mish but Blackout is a freaking badass.
Posted by Dragonslayer on June 26th, 2007 @ 7:32pm CDT
Just as well though. I wasn't planning on playing it as soon as I got it, on account that I don't want the story ruined for me anymore than it is now

Yeah. Turns out Bumblebee's a Camaro.
Seriously, though, if you're one of us who started spoiling ourselves way back when the leaked script hit in... what, 2005... you probably won't learn anything you don't already know. If you're staying spoiler-free, though, avoid the game till July 4.

Us aussies are gonna have to wait for the game apparently. It seems that the PC graphics maxed out sh!t all over the other consoles. Hope its true.

I tell you, if the CE wasn't exclusive to EB/GameStop, I would have gone somewhere else. I have had nothing but trouble in dealing with them!
Posted by CInemastique on June 26th, 2007 @ 9:20pm CDT
-No there's no PC demo out, but the game's only $19.95. Pick it up.
- The PC graphics might be best, but they're still nothing to write home aobut. We've all seen a lot better. Don't expect Gears of War with transforming cars. (Wow. Pay attention, game industry, that sounds GOOD.)
