The new position created for the toy manufacturer is Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Motion Pictures. The person who now has the new role is Bennet Schneir.
Mr. Schneir served as Vice President of Creative Affairs for ImageMovers Digital prior to assuming the position. He will head up the creative team at HASBRO which has at least four upcoming feature films set to begin production based off of board games such as MONOPOLY, CANDY LAND, CLUE and MAGIC: THE GATHERING.
John Frascotti, Hasbro’s Global Chief Marketing Officer said this in the press release: “Leveraging what we believe to be the best portfolio of brands in the children’s and family entertainment business, our goal is to deliver more fantastic cinematic experiences, similar to what we did along with DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures with TRANSFORMERS. Mr. Schneir is an incredibly talented industry veteran who will collaborate directly with filmmakers and writers to create extraordinary motion pictures. Together Lisa and Bennett will help elevate Hasbro to a whole new level in the entertainment industry.”
Seibertron.com would like to congratulate Mr. Schneir on his new position and wish him luck on his endeavor.

They already made a Clue movie, and it's quite a good comedy to watch . The original producers tried to make six different endings for the six 'playable' charicters, but only three were made. You should check it out if you're interested

Clue: Been there, done that, have the VHS tape.
Monopoly: It's called Wall Street, Greed is good.
Candyland: Jumanji meets Willy Wanka
Magic: I'd rather not see this as a movie, but if Hasbro does it themselves, atleast it saves us from a lesser attempt &/or Dr. Uwe Boll won't be able to.

As someone stated already I was thinking the same thing...I bet it will be a willy wonk type movie only hopefully it will not suck like the Depp version did...it wasn't the worst but still.
