This has put HASBRO in a very favorable frame of mind for the second movie possibilities...
"'Transformers' has been a unique box office success. Our U.S. retail sales of [the new] Transformers toys have exceeded our expectations with 3 million units sold since the launch," Hasbro CEO Alfred Verrecchia said during a conference call with analysts to discuss the company's results.
Hasbro's "Transfomers" movie-related toys boosted the toymaker's profits and sales in the second quarter.
"It's too soon to say if there's a 'Transformers 2.' No date has been set as yet, but a second movie is possible," Verrecchia said.
Exceeeding expectations...Great job folks! We collectors are over-achievers now! I knew we had it in us.

I wondered the same... I hope it has.

But I also think that they could've sold around 4-5 million units. If only they could've done a better job of keeping a nice flow of shipping. But like they said, it was beyond their expectations, so they were maybe not ready for this. Not enough to please them all, you know.

leader class prime, voyager ratchet, voyager blackout, then the following deluxes... jazz, brawl, scorponok, barricade and bonecrusher
so i have all those and they're fine for me, no defects, nothing broken or anything...so what are these flaws and which figures are affected?

However, to everyone who said this entire line would be nothing but shelf warmer, I'd like to say...
"!!!HA!!!"
The stores around me can hardly keep these TFs in stock!

The only flaws I'm seeing are:
1) Jazz's lower arms, it's just a bad idea
2) Brawl's arms don't stay conected
3) Barricade doesn't stand or pose well and his arms are to heavy for ball joints.
4) 74 BB's feet are way to big, a hinge on those so they'd fold upright, would add some body and a nice G1 touch to BB's rounded feet.
Beyond that I have pretty much every movie figure, and outside of the FABs lacking articulaion, these are very fun toys.
I wish Optimus and Megatron were a little better armed, but otherwise these toys are fine. I also challange anyone to mention 1 TF line that didn't have some flawed bots.
Classics almost pulled it off but those MiniCons sucked alot!
I think alot of people are stilll dwelling on the unorthodox look of these characters in asociation with their G1 namesakes, to which all I can say is RID IronHide sucked alot more than the movie version, and I don't even wanna gat started on the Energon version.
Even Scorponoc who I hated isn't even that bad if you pose him right.
But to each their own.

The reason that Hasbro did not post a profit was because they were buying back Star Wars stock from Lucasfilm...
Add that to the fact Hasbro gets no $$$ directly from the film... who the hell made those two horrible decisions?
