Fellow Seibertronian Primeultimus has spotted some too good to be true - but still true! - deals over on the Hasbro Toy Shop site on eBay: Transformers figures across different lines and classes, with prices such as $0.99 for Legion Class, $4.99 for Legends and $14.99 for Voyagers, and shipping is included (though not internationally). If you're still on the hunt for something, head over here to pick it up!

Granted it's just Grimlock, but still.
*continues looking*
Hmm, seems like they just knocked $5 off of most everything. Not bad, but after seeing Legion Grim's at a whopping 80% discount it's a shame that Leader Megs is only 10% off.

Sideswipe , Bumblebee , Grimlock , Underbite , Strongarm , and Steeljaw.
They had pretty much every Legends figure from Combiner Wars up at one point. Still a bunch of Deluxes and Warrior Class.

No legions left right? Couldnt find any.
You dont have either of those 2 voyager molds yet? I would highly recomend the Takara galshark over this skybyte but for that price, this is good. The mold is really underrated. And roadbuster is loads of fun.

Their lack of being in the original cartoon might be a factor in their Generations toys' lack of popularity.Seibertron wrote:That's a great price on Roadbuster. I'm still shocked that Roadbuster and Whirl weren't more popular. Great toys even though neither character has a very traditional Transformers face.

Of course it is. I'm just surprised nonetheless that the toys didn't sell better. It seems like they would have been better packaged 1 toy a case along with more popular characters, or doing something to currently promote those characters.

nycPrime wrote:I apologize in advance if this isn't the right forum to ask this question, does anyone more experienced at collecting know what TRU generally does with inventory it cannot sell out of? I missed out on MP Soundwave, and while I do not love the colors of the YOTG version, I can live with it if I can get it at a good (great) price. In that regard, I've been hopeful that TRU will run a huge discount on it to liquidity excess inventory. This figure has been out for some time, and every TRU in my area has a ton of these available on the floor. The flagship store has at least 10 on display, and they're just collecting dust.
From experience regarding these Chinese Zodiac figures, they reach a certain discount price (at most 33% off) and just keep them there till the end. Thats what happened with every figure so far. YOTH prime is still on tru.ca's site. They just dont let go of them, or MPs. They eventually sell out because they become liquidation items which means you can sometimes buy one and the get other half price. Which means the lowest possible discount is getting them 2 for 1 (which happened with YOTH Prime and Starscream). So what happens is "investor" buy 2 and keep them waiting for the long haul till these exclusives gain value. Toysrus has never ever sold these to liquidators.
Curently, both YOTG Prime and the insecticons are on "liquidation" at tru.ca which means that there are sales where you can buy one and then get 50% off on the other. These sales will happen and one or two will be sold each time until there is no more stock.
Anyways, the short answer is this. That soundwave will go lowest anywhere between 125 and 150$ US and just stay there till sold out, even if thats in a year.

Funny that Leader Thundercracker is discounted on here. I've never even seen one in stores. Pretty good price on Crosscut too, but can't decide if I want to pull that trigger.

I'd highly recommend grabbing a box of clear polybands from the womens'/girls' section of hair stuff at Walgreens or Target so that you have a pile of them around. They come in handy more than you'd think! Masterpiece MP-09 can hold his guns thanks to clear polybands and DOTM and Transformers Prime weapons can be forced into their better looking positions while on display as well thanks to polybands.
A box should cost around $2 to $4, depending on how many are in a box. I think the box I've been working through came with about a 100.
As for the size of polybands, you want the smaller ones that are more intended for little girls hair.

I do I do, but Hasbro gets so much damn blame, this time it wasnt really their fault. And plus, turns out these were all deals we weren't really supposed to get, especially for the legion and legends class.
On the plus side, eagle eye cary, you did make my wife laugh a whole bunch with that bunny meme

#1 Encore: Sunstorm E-Hobby Exclusive $39.99
#2 Alternity A-02 Nissan Fairlady Z Megatron - Diamond Black $34.99
#3 Optimus Prime - Dodge Ram SRT-10 $34.99
#4 Sixshot Asian Exclusive Metallic Color Redeco $84.99
#5 Mickey Mouse Transformer - Exclusive Chromed Christmas Version $34.99
Based on what they call the original price, those seem like pretty good prices. That Megs has got me interested. Is that a good price on that guy?

That is a good price. About half off, iirc. But be warned, he is a fiddly fiddle bot. Although both modes look really nice, he maybe one of my least favorite TFs to tf.

Alternity Megatron is not fiddly at all. His transformation is pretty solid and fun, plus he look amazing. You just have to know how to lock the legs in place. It's not hard once you see the holes and tabs.

Seriously consider Alternity Megs. He's one of the best Alternity. Especialy in black and red.
One Alternity you should avoid like the plague is any "seeker" molds. These are just garbage. Great looking garbage, but garbage nontheless.

It may be worth 30$ shipped if you are curious. No more. The automorhp is lame and buggy, the diecast doors keep falling off at the slightest provocation, and he cant stand up for shayt.
Speaking of Alternity, Bumblebee is fun and interesting, but he look dorky as hell. Hoptimus is a pretty solid and fun figure.
Sol Tl;Dr, the best Alternity molds are Optimus and Megatron. Also, the new RT edition that come with a waifu? It's no wonder they are all based on the Optimus mold. They are expensives, but you can expect quality.
Have some reviews:
