I don't need 'em, but they're cute.

Here's my take on the 3 color schemes:
- Iguanus (Pretender, shell)
- Icepick (Monster Pretender, shell)
- Not sure, but reptile-inspired.
If I could suggest a 4th color scheme, I'd want one in Golden brown (think "golden retriever" or desert sand, not gold plastic!) head/face and legs, Navy or Indigo frame and tail (like the orange one above), and black or dk. gray colored cannons. I'd want the unmasked lower face (excluding the chin) painted a pale sky blue and the eyes again in a reddish orange. If I could really get my way, I'd want the golden brown colored parts in gold chrome, but I understand that the chrome would make the price jump drastically.
I could see this little guy riding atop a Skullcruncher, Snapdragon, or Brainstorm.

They all look great IMO, but the second one's to G1 Icepick for my taste, and the third one, while looking real nice, does have somewhat similar colors to the Cobra head (brighter green yes, but still.) The first color scheme does look better, and yet... Maybe inverting the colors and making the orange brighter might help.
At any rate, might just end up buying the three if ever they're produced.

The good thing about these is that you have an alt mode, so you don't need headmaster bodies. And incomplete bodies are a dime a dozen...
I'd by all three colors, probably twice each.

I would go for orange/blue, and green/grey.

I wonder if some third party will make a genetic body for these heads. Something cheap and simple.

Me too. I'd love to hear anything new come out of the Headrobots camp honestly just so I know they are still around.

Promoting and teasing items and then never releasing them in suffiecient quantity is crap. Whatever happened to their Dark Warrior set? I saw maybe one post on it and that was it. Look if they can't compete with Fansproject and Perfect Effect and other 3rd party teams that know what they are doing and do it well, then perhaps they shouldnt.

eh so far in my opinion they have had one success and it was fantastic. Hothead was amazing. It just takes more than one success to get me riding their train. If and when the Blood sets come out I may change my tune.

Agreed, Hothead was cool. Although I'm not a big fan of Headmasters, this is one cool Iguana. Looks like a alligator but still, it's quite amazing.

What hasn't been released in sufficient quality? Both Bludgeon sets, deluxe and voyager, are being mass released. The gyro set was originally going to be limited to 100 sets. Then due to the demand they re-opened the pre-order for 3 days, no limit. If you miss something HR puts out I'm pretty sure that's your fault.

ShardFenix wrote:why on earth would they mass-release the deluxe bludgeon and not the whirl...seeing how they are from the same two pack...see stupid decisions. This isn't even considering the fact that the whirl set didnt even look that good.
Then why are you complaining again?
EDIT: It's called supply and demand. When the demand is high, companies will go out on a limb and make the supply high. Anyone in their right mind would assume that the demand for Bludgeon would be much higher than Whirl. It just so happens that HR was generous enough to make a kit for both the deluxe and voyager in case you didn't own both. Then they do the unGodly and make the Whirl set, planned for only 100, made to order. That means all you had to do was lay down the mo ey and say you wanted one. Geesh, what was HeadRobots thinking.

Are you going to rip into FansProject for not releasing:
Mini Matrix
Mini Megatron Gun
Broadside
Glacier bots
Or Perfect Effect for not releasing
Soundwave
Wheelie
It's pretty unrealistic (and fairly hypocritical) to get mad at HeadRobots for showing off their prototypes to gauge interest when other companies do it too and never release product.

ShardFenix wrote:just questionable business choices. Outside of the Hardhead set, they haven't been very impressive. And their collection of choices adds an air of unprofessionalism. Releasing the original Blood and Gyro sets seems like a sad excuse for a money grab as well as inconvenient to not release both at the same time judging how the figures were released. And this new thing...what is it even for? The crocodile thing from headmasters? Skullcruncher maybe? Why?
Other than Hothead and Snake, what are you basing your info on? That's the only two sets, to my knowledge, that they have released. IMO, the Blood and Gyro kits are a prime example of what third party companies, who are not able to make their own figures, should be doing: making bad figures better. But I do think they did that to make money for what their original intentions are. (smart business)
And I'm guessing they are making another Headmaster because they are a company called HeadRobots.

And also this thread is over a year old when HeadRobots just had made Snake and before they announced Blood and Gyro.

Also I know that they promoted Broadside and the Glacierbot, but then I also never saw them say they still weren't coming out. And if headrobots wants the same amount of trust I give others for me than they should impress me with somthing. Which they really havemt done. Hardhead was great, but as ive said before its only one piece.
If you compare every up-and-coming third party company to the works of FansProject, you are going to be sorely disappointed. They have two projects out, two. Both of them are of excellent quality and decent articulation. So honestly, theyd have to put out a bad product to change my mind, which I do not see them doing. I think you've also forgotten FP first release, which was extremely limited in quanity ( based on their numbers now) and a lot harder to get ahold of. And PE's first release, the first I know of, was the God Sword. The quality on that figure was not even close to what it is now.
