Not a fan of the Skyhammer mold, and Drift being a helicopter and a car raises all kinds of scale issues (and before you start, Movieverse has been pretty good at avoiding blatant mass-shifting; not perfect but helicopter->car is definitely something they'd not do).
So it looks like Slog's weapons are removable. Cool!

The very awesome box art is a goddamn LIE. Yet one more excuse to not own the FE AoE mold.

Drift, as a helicopter, has been speculated by the fans and they felt they were onto something and now they finally have confirmation with visual proof. Drift, will in fact make an appearance (at least as a toy) in a helicopter alt mode. It should be noted that Drift is a redeco/remold of DOTM Skyhammer.
Slog is Sludge reimagined, and he looks pretty massive and strong. And packin' a lot of heat! Hopefully he and the other Dinobots will get a chance to tear up the scenery on the big screen and the audience will have fun going along for the ride!

With a new head, the two-toned blue coloring makes this a decent Rotorstorm.

Over the past week, I have tried, and tried, and tried to see his arsenal as anything else, but it just ain't possible. Someone has to come out and say it, and it may as well be Skwisgaar:william-james88 wrote:MGrotusque wrote:Is there a lot going wrong here with Slog or is it just me?

"Diz Bronchiozaurus's veapons is dildos!"
He's gonna' cause seismic activity alright. In the secondary market price of Kiss Players.
Oh yeah, Driftcopter...looks great. Even with that head, he redeems the notion of gold on a Bayniverse helicopter, after the tragedy that was ROTF Blazemaster.

nope.. it'll clog the shelves like platinum magnus has been doing since its release.
does anyone else think an AOE platinum optimus prime would've been the PERFECT opportunity for hasbro to give us takara's version of leader class prime.. with all of the silver paint, the more accurate chest detail.. i bet you more people would be willing to pay $60 for that than they would figure this ugly grey plastic brick.
i just don't understand their mentality when it comes to exclusives.. i wish they'd give us accurately colored versions of figures that they've already screwed up rather than just throwing chrome on them or adding a repainted minicon.. they're losing out on so many sales.
also.. it's a bummer that they simply recycled a mold for drifts helicopter mode.. and STILL PAINTED IT ROYAL BLUE.. i don't understand where they are coming up with royal blue.. it doesn't make any sense.. it's like when they had a hard on for coloring starscream that sandy beige color.. then they got their heads out of their asses and realized he was grey.. it's too bad they don't have the time to do that with drift.. i mean, seriously, is a black figure with light blue highlights really that difficult for them to wrap their heads around?
anyways.. slog looks incredible.. i'm still super happy that he's not just a deluxe.. a voyager long necked dinosaur is incredibly cool. and once they're all repainted to look movie accurate, the movie dinobots are going to look incredible displayed together.

There is no black on Drift if you look closely
but the blue should be darker yes

i didn't say he was black.. i said he wasn't ROYAL BLUE.. and black is a much closer color than royal blue and it's an easier color for hasbro than a dark blue would be.
plus, it's only dark blue when the sun is shining down on it.. otherwise, it looks like this..
see.. black would've worked MUCH better.

I mean really, why not? We've hardly seen him in any of the footage we've seen, but we've seen that awesome shot of Crosshairs and his parachuting skills.
Parachutes operate in the sky ... helicopters operate in the sky ... totally makes sense to use Drift.

What the hell? I mean, I knew Hasbro was getting cheap on us, but slapping a coat of paint on some random mold and calling it something it is not is pretty low.
On the other hand, Sludge is AWESOME. Definitely picking it up.

That silver OP looks terrible.
I'm really betting parents are going to be looking at this figure like "WTF, it's a white optimus. Fuck this kid, you're not getting a $60.00 repaint!"
Drift looks... okay.
Slog looks awesome.

All-in-all, it's a decent figure. And I plan on buying more Dinobots, so I figured I can't have all the other Dinobots and NOT Grimlock.

Skyhammer as Drift is one of the rare Hasbro curve balls, but it's not a good one. I do love the Skyhammer mold, and I appreciate the new sword, but... That mold just isn't Drift.
Slog/Sludge is a Brachiosaurid now, and it's a good change for him, taller rather than long. I know, Brachios are the new Brontos I'll be getting him regardless.

I mean sheesh...only 1 of 7 dinobots is the proper coloring and who knows if Slog is even in the movie. What's that Hasbro... @#$% Me? Speak any English? @#$% You! That is all I have to say about that.

Hasbro said it made each dnio different colors for the children so they can differentiate between the different dinos. Makes sense, as these are children's toys.
