Oh and I am not digging this fig..
Instead of repainting old figs, why not attempt a true pretender, with a shell..

The head s the original G1 toy photoshopped onto the figure.

No. It's been said.
Given how quickly this image has come to light and its Photoshopped nature I'm going to guess its simply a random fan made image. I know iGear are prone to milk a mold of its repaints, but I'd reckon that Octopunch from Sea Spray is too big of a departure from the norm for them.

Yes it's clearly a photoshop job, but FMH's Andy is a reliable source of info. It makes sence for iGear to capitalize on the BotCon hype by repainting their Spray mold into Octopunch.

Shame people dont do what the guys at Roll Call Roll Out did and make thier own pretender (Bio Armour Kraken).

What made you think that it wasn't fan-made?

The sad thing is though, in the secondary market, between this one and the botcon repaint, wich one do you think will be cheaper? everything's backwards!

How is it better? all we've seen of the Botcon version is a pic of him inside a baggy while in vehicle mode.

looks pretty cool though

Half the time the first few pics we see of the Botcon or Club Exclusives are photoshopped. Heck, anyone seen any official Hasbro images of their toys that weren't?

The Botcon version has ducks. This one doesn't. Thus, the Botcon one is superior.

I just looked that up and I can see why people don't go that route. Ignoring the lame Gorn aspect of the Kraken, what you have is a voyager sized brick with a Legends figure stuck in it. It just doesn't fly.
tigertracks 24 wrote:Plus scale of the Botcon one is huge and I'm not sure how it will look with my display.
Seaspray works great next to ROTF Bludgeon and since they were on the Mayhem Attack Squad together, I think it should look just fine on display.
Ultimately, I think this was just iGear poking a bit of fun at Fun Pub because they happen to have a Seaspray shipping now. I highly doubt this will ever be a real product.

Indeed, quack.

I actually think this mold would work better just repainted in Octopunch's inner bot. His head isn't a million miles from Seaspray's and their both small bots. Plus it's less garish. Just a suggestion.

It's super cool because igear copied TFCC's idea but used it for their own unique legends size not-seapspray.
I'd estimate igear does a better job with the octopunch colors, headsculpt & maybe add in a few newer weapons than TFCC version of octopunch.
No,i'm not buying this but it is a cool & unique item.

Nah ... the images are there for people to use. Just like to see when people say "hey we got this pic at Seibertron.com" better than when the image just is taken.
