Nope.
None whatsoever.
I especially wouldn't buy a Nacelle.
Nope.
I have more willpower than that.

I really want to redo this shot when I finish the rest of the Classics Seekers galleries one day! I think there were 31 total ... but unfortunately no properly done Sunstorm, which has always bummed me out. I could totally go for a 32nd Classics Seeker as Sunstorm. Hell, I'd even be game for the G2 unproduced guys like Sunstorm at this point.

Sandstorm looks fantastic. I love the teeth on the nosecone. I wanted it as a Classics Seeker when those were a thing and I want it now. Preordered!
I wonder what a Neo G2 lineup looks like by now. Between Funpub, Combiner Wars and the various other releases it has to look pretty impressive.

I guess the Funpub Sunstorm (with Hotlink and Bitstream) isn't your thing?

I just ordered him with EE. I have a feeling he'll be available again with Pulse. Red Wing is the only Selects figure that wasn't really easy to get at some point.

Maybe they're just reusing the background art from the G2 Combaticon set of WFC 1.0 Bruticus?

It's the wrong colors. Sunstorm is supposed to have white instead of black.

Yeah, the whole mix-up with e-HOBBY that inadvertently gave us Red Wing is to blame for that. Otherwise, Fun Pub would have colored that Sunstorm correctly.Seibertron wrote:Bounti76 wrote:I guess the Funpub Sunstorm (with Hotlink and Bitstream) isn't your thing?

The Seekers are that important to me to collect that I'm not gonna lose out on him like I possibly have with Red Wing and Hotlink, I'll cancel the order if a better deal pops up else where.

I get payed on the first of September, I presume you mean on Seibertron Ebay or something?
If Hotlink would still be available then I would appreciate help getting him.

I haven't been lucky in my city with the few times I've actually been able to go out since the whole pandemic unfortunately, that and I've been recovering finances for a little bit so I wasn't able to jump the gun on deals until this month.

Well, he should still be out there. All of them should. Except Scrapface, he's the only hard one to find. But the rest are pretty much shelfwarmers and pegwarmers at this point.Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I just bought Hotlink from Walmart in-store a few days ago.Deadput wrote:Seibertron wrote:Deadput wrote:Since it's not due till February 2021 according to the site I placed a preorder on BBTS even if it's not the ideal price for a Canadian.

I'll see If I can find them next time I'm out before I try online stuff, the Netflix figures that have been released that I'm looking to grab are Hotlink, Mirage, 1 Scrapface and maybe Megatron depending on how I feel if I see him in person.
Sad to hear about Scrapface though, I suppose that with him being a "new character" with a vastly different color scheme compared to the other Netflix sets it only makes sense.

You would think that they would prefer to have more of the guy marketed to make a camera with 3 in a case.

Then the obvious ones. There is BA, but no Tarantulas. Cheetor & Tigatron are different sizes, so obviously different toys, probably Shadow panther will be a Cheetor repaint though.
At any rate, it seems like the Selects line is getting more entries, (at least during ER) not less, and are no longer tied to a specific line, although repaints of the current line make the most sense, which is a good thing. I'm hoping Hasbro/TT use Selects as an opportunity in the future to focus on more original series characters that haven't had a proper release since before 2015 because Kingdom is focusing mostly on BW.
Posted by Sabrblade on August 22nd, 2020 @ 11:45am CDT
What do you mean? Selects has always accompanied whatever the current Generations line is. The first two Selects releases were for Power of the Primes, then we got a lot of Siege ones, and soon we'll be getting Earthrise ones.o.supreme wrote:At any rate, it seems like the Selects line is getting more entries, (at least during ER) not less, and are no longer tied to a specific line,

o.supreme wrote:So far... Selects have all been deluxe, Voyager, or the occasional leader. I was thinking Packrat from Rattrap would be a slam dunk, but he is the smaller size class, so probably not.
Technically we did get Selects Micromasters in the form of the cassettes, they just put 2 pairs in the box to bump it up to Deluxe price. Core class is replacing the Micromasters price point, so 2 Cores in a box would lead to the same result, and given how Hasbro has been repainting all their partsforming gimmick bots at least once in this trilogy and there's 2 Fossilizers in Core class, plus a tiny Starscream they could crank out repaints of, I wouldn't necessarily write Packrat off yet.

As in, made from Earthrise molds, but not labeled as "Earthrise": they're labeled as "War for Cybertron Trilogy" instead.

Exactly. It also gives them freedom if they wanted (as TT has shown) to use older concepts to release new toys

Being able to do that with his tank canon will set him apart that little bit more from the other WFC Megatrons.
Usually I miss out out Pulse pre-orders because I'm sleeping in the middle of the day, but this is the first time I missed out on a figure because I was doing a night shift (Sandstorm). Oh well, Friday night I was still able to get Megatron on Pulse from my phone while I was on break and Sandstorm on BBTS (even though Pulse was still saying to pre-order and then removing it on checkout ).
I like this little G2 revival hidden inside Generations, makes me wish I picked up more G2 Combiner Wars sets while they were only $100.

Apparently it's because Hasbro can't use the mold for them due to the way VW views war products and thus can't use the mold for an evil character.
So it's less of a "they chose not to" but rather a "they can't do so even if they wanted to"

The first TF Bug Bite wasn't a VW Bug either, but rather a hatchback Eh, what's in a name... Also, is the Bumblebee mold actually licensed? That would be a first since RiD 2001 Side Burn
