I'm not one for Animated (but they are pretty cool, and I liked the cartoon), but Jackpot looks slick.
Circuit's a meh.
Only gripe against Ultra Mammoth is that I still wish they had given him a new head, but, ironically, "I can deal with that."

Yeah, but she was there too so I figured why not.

I'm a huge Animated fan, so Jackpot appeals to me in that sense. Agreed on Circuit and Mammoth.

Mammy realyy isn't one I want but I suspect he's gonna grow on me when I have him in hand.
Glad to see Jackpot, I really like the Animated jazz mold but jazzy got replaced by his CHUG figure, glad to have a use for the mold again.

Well, since he goes from having his Classics body to this body, I seethe head as fitting since it resembles the evolved form of his Classics body head.Mindmaster wrote:Only gripe against Ultra Mammoth is that I still wish they had given him a new head, but, ironically, "I can deal with that."

Look at the rest of the subscription figures: they're all lesser-known characters and painted in interesting, somewhat garish colors. Painting it as Big Convoy in his traditional colors would be boring compared to the other figures in this lineup. It just wouldn't fit in. I'm not saying it wouldn't be an awesome figure - it probably would - just that it wouldn't really fit in with the other 5 subscription figures.

Yeah, he was asking why Hasbro can't release it, not Funpub, as in a regular retail release, not an exclusive (they only did Universe Nemesis Prime from this mold in US retail).
I agree it would be cool if Hasbro released him stateside, but I've got 2 of the Japanese versions (one in bot mode, the other in mammoth mode right next to him), the black Lucky Draw version, the Universe Nemesis Prime version and now I'll have this one once it gets here (can't frickin' wait!).
I'm liking the vehicle modes and colors of Circuit and Jackpot a lot more than I initially did, so I'm glad I paid for the subscription. Initially I was only interested in 3 of the figures, but now the rest of them seem pretty cool too .

The only downside I have is the face on Slipstream just doesn't do it for me; the rest of the deco is on point though.

Ah, I see. Yes, that would be awesome, and probably would sell well. But when was the last time Hasbro brought back an old mold for a retail release? After the "Universe 2.0" line (with its many Cybertron repaints) ended, I assumed Hasbro was done with bringing back molds from that era.

Yep, it's probably a pipedream at this point, but it would be cool. It's one of my favorite molds of all time and was the primary reason for signing up for the subscription service for me. I am glad that these other figures are starting to appeal to me more now as well.

I would, but I'm already getting on and plan on keeping it, so I wouldn't need a second.Mkall wrote:I'll be keeping all of these figures except for Jackpot. Anyone want him on the cheap?
Though, I didn't originally care for the Jackpot character (just having another Animated toy character appealed to me enough). But, after having read the TCC prose story "Gone Too Far", I now LOVE the Jackpot character and want this figure more than ever. Jackpot is AWESOME!

Totally sold. I need one.
If anybody out there doesn't want it i'll buy it.

It was, and I only need to say 3 words concerning a new release of Big Convoy: No Significant Demand. Beast Wars Neo toys have been in plenty supply on the second market a few years back, and there may be a few stray ones if you look hard enough.

Not only lack of demand from consumers, but three more words regarding the suppliers (Hasbro): "Lack of interest".JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:fenrir72 wrote:Yeah. The toy is 14 years old and, in its original deco, represents a character who is completely irrelevant to today's market, having also had no real presence in the U.S. outside of IDW's less-than-well-received Beast Wars comics and sourcebooks.
