With Toysrus Canada having fallen from grace with very little Transformers product available, being late with releases and charging higher than any other direct retailer (winning strategy right there), the only two Canada wide brick and mortar locations left for new Transformers is Walmart and Gamestop. And Gamestop happens to be where Transformers are found first and that is why these new Canadian sightings are from Gamestop and why that will be the case for most new sightings of mainline toys in Canada. Jhiaxus has been found there, as was deluxe Sidesways from the third wave of 2022 Studio Series deluxes. SS86 Arcee has been found in Gamestop as well.

That's putting it very lightly.
And I feel salty at having paid around 15$CAN MORE for D-K Guard at TrU. I should have waited a wee bit more and bought it at Gamestop.

Pepperidge Farms remember.
The irony is even if TrU did it again, it would only turn back the prices of the Toys to the same REGULAR one that everybody else sell for.

Man those were some crazy times. I once combined coupons with a promotion to the point that I would get a free TF for each TF I buy.

The entire Velocitron line was found at around the same time as the US but the wave 2 deluxes have also been found now, in an Alberta Walmart. The only 2 new toys in that wave are Crasher and Shadowstrip. The image below is provided by Phtcndn who posted it on Cybertron.ca.
RED Galvatron and Shockwave have been found in Walmarts in Ontario, you can see them in the image below.
The wave 2 Legacy core class toys have been found at a Walmart in Quebec.
EB Games were fulfilling their preorders for Blitzwing the past weeks but they seem to now have some on the shelves as well.

It won't all be Velocitron

You know, I was making a joke, however doesn't that make it even better, that now in order to get the G2 Menasor you'll need to pick them up possible as separate exclusives.
A couple will be Walmart exclusives, another will be Amazon exclusive, a third will be w a target exclusive and maybe the final will be a pulse exclusive.

Clampdown is repacked, Cosmos is not. The other repack is burnout

The 4 pack is $129.99 CAD which comes out to $36 per deluxe, which is almost $10 less than what Toysrus currently charges for deluxe figures, like SS86 Arcee and her wavemates which were also found at the same location. This particular sighting comes from Collectingtoys who posted on cybertron.ca.

BTW, the Velocitron preorders finally started to ship from Walmart.ca. My Clampdown and Cosmos are on their way.
Posted by cloudballoon on September 22nd, 2022 @ 8:52pm CDT
But my local Walmarts & TRU (Richmond Hill & Markham area in Ontario) are total crap for TFs. I missed the preorders (not for lack of trying) for Cosmos.

But sometime, TrU throw some unexpected sale our way.
It's the case for Red Cog, who is CHEAPER than regular deluxe price at 33$!
The catch is it's local pick up only so you must have a TrU in your area that have one in stock. I managed to catch one. Will you?

Also, they have the "world collide" deluxes 5 pack at 130$,(if I remember) that is at least the "right" price.

Worlds Collide and Creatures collide are both 4 packs. And yeah, both are the right price for when they came out (slight discount too, especially if you count the extra heads which end up being free).

Oh yeah, 4 packs. But this newest one have less value because it's 4 deluxes compared to the previous 3 deluxes and 1 voyager. At least the extra heads compensate a bit.

Plus there was that crazy inflation we got in one year, where deluxes at Walmart increased by 5$ so changing one voyager to a deluxe keeps the price the same.

Overquoting to point out that despite the prices increases, deluxes and voyagers are almost the same price. The price of the deluxes has increased significantly percentage-wise.

Speaking of best deals gone, Walmart.ca should clean up their pages and tell that the thing is sold out upfront instead of days after the fact. That T-Wrecks must have blue-balled many fans...
At least I could secure a Vintage Beast Wars Wolfang before it was gone.

No sale, full 36$ deluxe price with free shipping. But compared to buying it on eBay, that's still a win.

At Winners, I only found Voyager SS86 Wreck-Garr and the Studio Series Bee Movie Thrust for 40$.
Marshall's have those same voyagers at the same price but they also have:
Vintage BW Cheetor and Rattrap at 17$.
X-Men X-Panse at 70$ (still not worth it.)
Dracula at 40$, which is the best price since the clearance at GameStop.
Let me know if you find anything else that is interesting!

It used to be just one wave was skipped and we'd see some toys at liquidators but this is taking it to a whole other level. This is further aggravating because it shows that retailers did have new stock, which fans surely could have purchased, but never replenished shelves with it, either moving on to the next line or just leaving the shelves with the same stock all year round. The specific location below is Boom Liquidation but there are province specific liquidators all across Canada (like Treasure Hunt in Ontario) so if there is any Canadian who has missed out on the toys shown below, it could be time to visit your local liquidator chain/store as this influx shows Walmart has dumped all their old stock to make room for a lot of incoming toys like the movie line, Earthspark, ect.
Posted by -Kanrabat- on February 24th, 2023 @ 4:49am CST
I hate Walmart for having the Velocitron line exclusive to themselves and I hate Toys R Us for having the Buzzworthy line exclusive to them. This make getting those toys in store nearly IMPOSSIBLE.
At least so far, there's my local geek store, even if I have to pay a few bucks more. Plus Amazon is reliable most of the time.

When I was a buyer at TRU, I never remember us selling product out of our warehouse to liquidators.
On the other hand, cancelling our orders to vendors, perhaps too late for them to do anything but dump the product, THAT I remember.

That's interesting, I thought TRU would buy directly from Hasbro. Or is Hasbro the vendor in your scenario?

Sorry, yes, TRU would buy direct from Hasbro. We called all suppliers and manufacturers Vendors, so it wouldn't be confusing.
I have the feeling either this is stock retailers ordered from Hasbro, and then backed out on, or stock that Hasbro thought retailers would want but then didn't. Usually when the vendor is stuck with stock like that, they'll offer it around to vendors at a reduced cost. If no one bites, they'll drop the price further and offer to their next tier of customers, and so on until Hasbro can finally sell it.
Since these are showing up in Canadian discounters, it's stock that Hasbro Canada had excess of in their warehouse.
