Dual partition with a linux based os... ya.. macs rendered useless.

I found it when I got home from work: http://www.letsgomobile.org/en/4661/lim ... ion-phone/
I knew I remembered there being a branded phone but couldn't remember who made it and it turned out to be LG.

Annoying name or not, it actually works to some extent... Unless you play Carmageddon II and it knocks the GPU into high gear
I was looking at getting the Galaxy tab, never heard of this one though. Anyway when did Seibs turn into a tech site?

BBTS had em a while back including a Torch. I was going to get them but eventually didn't due to no knowlege of quality and what else they did other than transform and combine.

Please finish your sentence. Apple sucks .... air through the vents at the front over dual 6core processors [x12] aswell as beeing liquid cooled, with 32gb of ram and will keep doing so for a good number of years while still not needing to be upgraded.
Apart from being the finest hardware on the market, it's the software and OS that makes apple what it is. Apple is not the iphone and the ipod which most people associate it with. but since thats what people seem to be bothered about, here's the killer bit of info for you. iOS is a stripped down version of apples osX [it's desktop operating system] for those who don't know, osX is the envy of microsoft, it is the finest OS on the planet, it makes using a computer fun and enjoyable, it's not a chore or hard work.
I feel sorry for windows users, you really are using poorly designed software, I mean, why is everything so complicated, why are your drives called weird names, and why is getting from a to b made more difficult for no reason. Apple has made things so easy, and they come up with all the ideas that windows and others copy, the way windows looks is a diluted version of osX. The concept of floating windows is actualy an Apple invention anyway. Why don't you give up virus's poor performance, incompatible software and hardware, and just switch to Mac, once you go mac you never go back.
Do not try and argue against apple superior user experience, even microsoft admit apple is what they aim to be like. Don't judge pple on it's superior iPhone, it's more than that.

That's all x86 hardware. meaning a 64-bit Windows install will run just dandy on it as well!
DTR69 wrote:Apart from being the finest hardware on the market, it's the software and OS that makes apple what it is. Apple is not the iphone and the ipod which most people associate it with.
But they are the only real popular Apple products. Apple wouldn't be near as popular without the introductions of iOS and the iPod. Just like Microsoft wouldn't be much without the introduction of Windows XP.
DTR69 wrote: but since thats what people seem to be bothered about, here's the killer bit of info for you. iOS is a stripped down version of apples osX [it's desktop operating system]
Windows Phone 7 is also a stripped down desktop OS.

That's an opinion. Personally, I feel Windows 7 64-bit is the finest OS on the planet.
DTR69 wrote:I feel sorry for windows users, you really are using poorly designed software, I mean, why is everything so complicated,
What do you find so complicated? I find Windows GUI to be intuitive and streamlined.
DTR69 wrote: why are your drives called weird names,
I can name my hard drives anything I choose on a Windows 7 machine...
DTR69 wrote: and why is getting from a to b made more difficult for no reason.
Seems easy to me. I can browse my way there with Windows Explorer, navigate there through a command prompt, or if I feel lazy I can do a search from the start menu and get real-time results? What could be easier?
DTR69 wrote: Apple has made things so easy, and they come up with all the ideas that windows and others copy, the way windows looks is a diluted version of osX. The concept of floating windows is actualy an Apple invention anyway.
There was alot of "software theft" and reverse engineering done by both Apple and Microsoft back in the day.
DTR69 wrote: Why don't you give up virus's poor performance,

Windows is clumsy, and by it's very nature of so many companies all doing different things, as opposed to apple's in house hardware and os's mapped out harmonious vision to see why an apple experience is far superior. it's onl recently windows have started to flow better, and you may have been lucky, but in the past, plug and play on windows wasn't possible, you always needed to install drivers, and due to so many mix and match configurations so many people have had problems.
A'm quite happy for Michael Bays over complicated, function following form designed transformers represent, the clumsy windows pc tablets. I love transformers, but beuty comes from form following function, and apple is not just a pretty face, it is purely functional, and that's why it is so beautiful. That is why Michael Bay transformers are so ugly, becuase they put the form first, and it's not functional.

I believe that the proprietary nature of Apples devices are their biggest downfall. They are free to put a huge profit margin onto the price tag simply because we have no other choice. Compare the price of a MacBook to a similarly equipped HP or Dell...
Apple is a very enclosed ecosystem. While Apple is busy changing the screw patterns on every iPhone that comes in to be serviced, Microsoft is giving 'jailbreaking" teams WP7 devices and helping them create a beneficial homebrew community.

Now, I'm not trying to bash Apple, just trying to change people's poor impressions of Microsoft and Windows. I am actually very happy that Apple is making a dent in the PC market. We now have two comparable, yet distinct computing ecosystems to choose from. This competition breeds better technology, and at lower prices.

See your impression is skewed aswell. I don't want to sound like I'm just oppossing all your points for the sake of it. This may sound weird but i don't want apple to make a huge dent becuase, Apple doesn't attract alot of virus makers, and if apple get a large market share, it will be worth hackers to invest time creating software to victimise apple users. Also some people have beef with microsoft so intentionaly target windows. Apple are starting to appear like the big powerful corporates to take down now, and I have mixed feelings about Apples exclusivity, as now they down graded to x86 architecture, strictly speaking osX can run on any pc, but they have tailored there hardware so it only runs on there's. They do this to ensure a smooth experience, as mix and match pc's cause compatability problems, and apple is about quality, so cheap parts won't do.
The number of windows vs osx, is for a reason. I.T departments kit out offices with there hardware and software, a Windows enviroment, means they are needed, if an office was run on osX they wouldn't need an I.T department or if they did it would be a much more reduced department. Also people think osX is for designers and Music producers, but it's there choice becuase of it's power and ease of use. Just becuase Apple's set up is far more powerful than an alternatives os setup doesn't mean it's mre complicated, it's actualy the opposite. OSX is designed to be understandable, things are labeled with obvious names, and are clear, windows has started to fix up, but when Ive had to use a windows machine to do things that are so simple on a mac, I have been shocked out how complicated things such as formatting a drive is, the way things are organised, the actual design and look, it's been a nightmare when you are used to ease and simplicity.
The price is another thing peple are wrong about. When you look at a pc for 300 compared to an apple that cost 1,300, you might think whats going on, but look at the spec and then you will see why. Apple machines can run every operating system that you want, they also run top of the range hardware, if you wanted an equivalent machine you would be paying the same price roughly, and lets not forget that apple hardware is of high quality materials and well thought out designs, so they are not overly priced as people think, you get what you pay for. A pc with 12 processors and a high powered video card is going to cost a few thousand, apple don't make inferior machines with cheap parts, they are quality from case to guts. Apple are the super cars of the computer world. The software is muc more powerful and speedier than windows, and the hardware reflects that. Apple hardware will last along time, I have been running my dual 2ghz g5 for arund 5years and It still does what I need it to do with up to date software. Windows set ups need upgrading far more often, simply becuase they were inadequate in the first place.
Just google microsft leaked documents to see all kinds of comments from them regarding there strive to be like apple, and you don't even need to do that, just look at windows 7, those features you now love so much are all adoptyed from osX we had all that years ago, look at your new shiny interface, thats all from osX, apple nicked the dock, and it's rubbish, apple had a launcher before, and I'm happy they are bringing it back, the dock is the worst thing about osX. If you really need further proof don't take my word for it, check on the internet, or better still use osX and find out for yourself, it will change your life I promise, it really is something special. Apple users love apple with a passion, once you see the light, you will start spreading the word too, it's infectious.

Nah, that doesn't sound weird to me. If I was a heavy Apple user, I'd feel the same way . By far the largest reason virus' are written for Windows is because of the sheer amount of users which can be effected.
I think Apple puts out genuinely good devices partly because they have a bit of a mountain to climb when compared to Microsoft's hold on the consumer PC market. Electronics/software companies do their best when they have something prove IMO. Just look at Microsoft with Xbox and Bing.

I work in a Windows (surprise, surprise lol) powered IT department, and I can safely say that less than 10% of my time is spend fixing problems directly related to the OS. Hardware failure, network maintenance, and database maintenance takes up most of my time. These problems would still exist regardless of OSX.
DTR69 wrote:simple on a mac, I have been shocked out how complicated things such as formatting a drive is, the way things are organised, the actual design and look, it's been a nightmare when you are used to ease and simplicity.
Right click on the drive in Windows Explorer and click 'Format'...

Here's a quick comparion. Keep in mind, these prices are in CND Dollars:
Apple MacBook Pro 15":
Intel Core i5 @2.53 ghz
4GB 1066 Memory
500GB SATA HD
Nvidia 320M, 256MB Memory
Cost 2249.00
Levono IdeaPad 15":
Intel Core i5@ 2.53 ghz
4GB 1066 Memory
500GB SATA HD
32GB Solid State HD for the OS
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730, 1GB Memory
Cost: 1029.00
It's honestly hard to justify the price of a Macbook over another brand. At half the cost and the same or better hardware.

I'm in the same boat with my old Compaq Presario v2000 running XP SP3.
Now we can throw facts and hardware specs back and forth all day long, or we can just talk about of rad that Decepticon cell phone is! I wouldn't mind getting a skin like that for my LG E900!

Anyways back to transformers. WHy would you want a transformers themed product unless for the items that happen to be transformers. I go to apple for my hardware software becuase I want the best software/hardware, and I go to has/tak and moe frequently thrird parties for my transformers. When the 2 cross it leads to an inferior product. I hate that no when I tell people I like transformers they straight away associate it with the live action movie, and when people buy me presnts and it's that rubbish michael bay has commitioned, I have to be rude and say sorry, I like tyransformers not that. The fact that if transformers on a piece of hardware is a deciding factor on buying a piece of hardware, actualy shows that you shouldn't be the person who decides what should be bought. Buy something becuase it does what it needs to do, not becuase it has something completely unre;late dthat you like on it. We're not kids, come n lets be real now.

Also I use both Mac OSX and Windows 7 on two different machines, and iMac and a Assus Netbook, and both systems are good, none are superior to the other because both systems have issues that piss me the F**k off, but mac pisses me off even more because of it's stupid fanboys who won't listen to reason and ruin the fun of working on an imac.
