Regarding the song, singer Mike Shinoda is quoted as saying:
"The opportunity to be creatively involved with one of the most anticipated films of the summer is pretty exciting. It's one thing to shoot a video that matches sound and vision, but making music that's built for the big screen is a completely different challenge and we ran with it."

I loved their contribuution to the first film and was ecstatic when I heard they would be working on the ROTF soundtrack. Now I'm going to have to make 2 purchases on the 23/24th. Tickets AND a CD. Hell, it's money well spent.

I have nothing against this band, used to listen to them religiously and buy their new discs on the release date when I was in high school, but I'm just getting burned out on the same bands' music being used again and again, there should be a different band for every movie soundtrack to keep things fresh. Next, we'll get the track listings for the soundtrack and see its basically in the same order as the current one..
EDIT: I just caught this, I thought Chester was the lead singer and Mike was just the emcee? Am I missing something?

They split singing duties depending on the song. Sometimes they switch on and off during songs.

Blurrz wrote:Fantastic. I like how their song on the last soundtrack 'What I've Done' was played along with the ending (which was fantastic).
I liked it so much I set it as the ringtone on my phone. Figured it went well with the Autobot Logo wallpaper I had.

They're both listed on the band's website as vocalists, even though Mike does more rhyming than anything else. It was a toss up for me.
