I was skeptical at first as to whether this was going to be the right song for this new movie and now that I have LP's new album and have also read most of the TF3 Novel, there is not a doubt in my mind that Iridescent is a PERFECT fit for DotM! I'm so stoked to hear that the official release is coming out this soon.

Is it just me, or does this song sound like it's actually referring to the audience? When I first heard it, I thought they chose this song because Bay wanted "redemption" for making ROTF (which I don't think is necessary at all) so, the lyrics to the song say to take all the frustration and the sadness and let it go. And keep an open mind about DOTM, because it will be different. That's what I got from the song.

Thanks for the Credits and for putting a more "polished" presentation on the information. I guess I was still a little bit (o.k. a LOT) jazzed up about the release and was less than professional in how I brought the information across.

The song is so good... but the eyes... oh the eyes... they really creep me out, and what's with the bulldog?
BTW, Megatron, Shockwave, and Sentinel moving CGI FTW!
*EDIT: If I ignore the creepy, washed out eyes, it's actually a really good video. Love the song BTW.

TheDownshift wrote:I personally think Waiting For The End or the The Requiem/The Radiance/Burning In The Skies trifecta would be better, but whatever.
I LOVE Megatron's cape.
If 'Waiting' had lyrics that were more relevant to the general tone of the movie, I would LOVE to have had a song of that tempo in place of 'Iridescent'. Waiting for the End is probably my favorite track off their new album.
Your idea for 'Requiem/Radiance/Burning', that would make for some Kick-A** background music in some of the scenes if the movie follows anywhere close to the novel, especially in the latter part of the Chicago battle. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Now I'm going to have to re-read the novel with LP playing in the background.

Noisecreep wrote:"The video explores how human existence might be affected by the elements of Transformers robots and the threat of the Decepticons," Linkin Park turntablist Joe Hahn, who directed the video, told Noisecreep. "What would it be like to be citizens in a decaying universe? I tried a lot of new things here, and we had a lot of fun shooting it."
